Come to think of it. I think this album really has strong symbolism. Every lyric of this album is depressing except with CWTW. Actually his Yook is written in 2016. The song he said he wrote 2 years ago was said in 2018. This song has an implication that he and his lover was 'separated'. The analogy is like SJ (the land) cannot reach the waves even though she is near. I believe they already dated in WGM and it's their agencies who told them to broke up. His second singles are like a coping mechanism. That 'Chicken' song is happy but there's a bit of dark in that song. The story spoke of growth and hardship Sungjae endured. Yes, Chicken is based WGM. If you watched their WGM, there is a one episode SJ ordered chicken 'without thinking'. The 'What i learned from Chicken (Joy) is how to live and adjust' is very deep. It's like a coping mechanism along with his W.A.U. His HMHN also seemed like an iteration with a strange I.O.Y. digress. And Hypnotized had the similar lyric as the first song. And CWTW's lyrics finally i think is a song of reunion. It signifies Joy coming back to him. I think this is like they are having some kind of Long-Distance Relationship but Joy finally came back to him in the end. (Probably a clue that they are long in a relationship and their WGM never truly 'ended'). Why this was released in spring? Because i think while winter symbolizes desolation and broken heart, spring symbolizes fresh start and reunion. All of this album is like his love story with Joy.
That's quite a good take! But I guess we have to agree to disagree. For me personally, I don't think this whole album is about her. I mean, he has life. Not everything will be about his love life and there isn't any reference about her in the MV of these 3 songs. Maybe part of it, but not all. Chicken could be about his work as an idol, HMHN & hipnotized could be just the results of his creative thoughts & other people involved. And I don't believe they ever dated. Given Sungjae's personality, I don't think he'd immediately admit his feeling towards Joy if there was any, let alone confessed it. But what I do believe is he might eventually admit it after he feels the longing. After he hardly could see her. I think Missing You lyrics explained it really well, eventhough it's still just a mere assumption that this song was written by Hyunsik about Sungjae. And yeah, I made a mistake about the year. I didn't realize it until it was uploaded :( I was too preoccupied with the editing because initially this video got a copyright strike. But then again, every piece of art is open for interpretation. But the lyrics really seem to point that way. As for they are dating or not, i'm not saying it's 100% certain but it's very odd if they are not. This MV had to pass CUBE and SM's approval since obviously there are going to be rumors. In fact it did happen, many rumors are actually leaked and sold by Sasaengs rather openly. It is 2020 and these two are still making shippers cry. I for one am a realist and sometimes because of the ships I had before that I thought had believable hints which apparently were really only just coincidences, I always like to think about the worst case scenarios. With SungJoy however, even if you want to give it up and move on to other ships, you simply can't. It is because their coincidences are just too different and more often than not seem more like hints than just coincidence, like a lot of bbyu shippers say, the feel like destiny, that they are inevitable. I have seen rumours of Joy dating actors, another with her senior, another from a popular bg, but my heart always tells me that as long as nothing is confimed we should hold on to what these two have. I sometimes think that they really had started having feels during the show particularly in Jeju, but then I feel like they haven't gotten together yet during that time and remained friends after the show. There seemed like a lull from late 2017 to early 2018, I am not sure if I am reading it right, but they seemed like they changed and were sad during those years, then eventhough they did not have any interactions in 2019 there were a lot of coincidences/hints on their insta account and that thing with Joy's signature. Sungjae is a master, I think in giving hints and symbolisms, and that is what makes this ship different. Probably from the creative freedom he has from his agency. His MV and the song lyrics really gave me a ton of hope, their first meeting had that gift theme and in Hainan they told each other that meeting each other is a gift, we have seen all the symbolisms in the MV even the pessimist in me couldn't deny that that MV and CWTW is littered with hints and memories of the two. For me the song and the MV felt like his song gift for her. If it turns out that they are really together now, I admire their loyalty and love for each other. To have a love that perseveres and is willing to wait that long, I am sure a lot of us can only wish. If in the end it turns out to all just be a coincidence, I will be so heartbroken but like them will choose to treasure what they allowed us to see in their time together. I am always praying for these two. I hope one day they can finally truly and freely be happy.
I love your perspective, but it actually makes me sad. Because the more I listen to the lyrics, the more I think that CWTW is more of a closure kind of song, rather than the reunited one. Moreover if you consider 415 - Remember, the song Sungjae recommended in his IG before CWTW released. That song has a similar theme and the plane scene in CWTW MV seems to be inspired by this song's MV. The "came to me again" kinda tricky and ambiguous. However I am not sure if it was late 2019 or early 2020 that her sister unfollowed BTOB on IG, plus she stopped wearing her favorite LV bracelet gift from SungJoyBar, last week of Feb, her signature has started changing too, from 6 at the end to just a curve. To be honest, the picture hints did not appeal to me. It's just that Sungjae and Joy did so much together in WGM that whatever animation they would make, we could always somehow link these to their WGM scenes. Let us also not debate further who the girl in the MV is. Sungjae said himself that she is Melody in his interviews. We all know how much Sungjae appreciates his fans (just like any other BTOB member) so let us keep it that simple. But what caught me was the clock time. Obviously, it wasn't random. The 5:02 time was a giveaway. It was also present in his previous MV. Translating it to dates, it would be Sungjae's birthday, May 2. With that line of thought, the what I believe was 10:07 clock time at the beginning of this MV could also be translated to a date, October 7. We all know that was Sungjae and Joy's virtual wedding date. It would be funny if this clock time was just a coincidence, right? Sungjae has always been a man of details. From there, we can come up with so many theories. We can never be sure! We have no right to claim things. But what we can be at least 99% sure about is that October 7 was special enough for Sungjae to be included in his MV. Whether you are a shipper or not, you cannot take away the fact that Sungjae treasures that particular memory with Joy regardless if they are in a relationship right now or not. Yeah, to each their own. But for me, I have a hard time believing that those pictures were coincidences just because they've spent so much time together. Nope. Most of it are too specific and too many to be considered as mere coincidences. I mean, who the hell would come up with "sitting on a pavement under trees" when thinking about romance? It's not a common place for a date. And other pics also have the same details such as same outfits colors and settings. Regardless of what their relationship actually is, I do believe Sungjae heavily took inspirations from their WGM times. And I refuse to believe that particular girl is just a representation of Melody with different hairstyles. He mentioned in his reaction vid. "Sinbaram" is one of BTOB's songs. Shop name here meant a song from his group. Making a wild guess, "Ice cream" could therefore represent a song from the girl (or her group) also, which could be Red Velvet's "Ice Cream Cake". Usually, a shop should have a title like "XXX ice cream" like "sinbaram record" here but it's just "ice cream". It was like she glowed” It reminds me of Come with the Wind when he sang “beyound beautiful.. particularly shining”

Though I’ve been shipping them since wgm, I always feel like I can never get my hope high bc someday I have to be prepared if news of them dating other people comes out. Yeah, perhaps it'd be best to prepared ourselves for the worst case scenario. But for me personally, before the release of CWTW, I already thought that they were not together. Since 2019 I have given up because I thought Joy was with someone already & I was just sad to see that Sungjae seems to be the only one holding on. So, seeing them happy with someone else won't really be a problem for me. But then this whole 3×2=6, 6 o'clock and CWTW happened. One or two times can still be counted as coincidences, but more than that? I don't really think so. All coincidences in this album are too specific to not be intentional. The bench & trees are too similar with their goodbye stage. The wind, gift & photos are too related with their WGM times. But for worst case scenario, if they're not together then maybe: 1. Sungjae just use their WGM times as inspiration. Which can roughly be concluded that he used Joy. But I don't believe a good guy like Sungjae would do such thing. But maybe he asked Joy first. Who knows... 2. He's still the only one holding on and this album is like an attempt to move on. 3. Just uncanny coincidences (but not likely). But in conclusion, I think many of these similarities are intentional by Sungjae himself. Because in my opinion, this album, especially CWTW is like a message for Melody that he hopes they can accept the existance of a special girl in his life right now. I watch their WGM episode last year or 2018. I was really hooked with them because out of all the couples in WGM, they are the most natural when in comes to their actions and emotions. You can clearly see in their eyes and face wheter they are awkward, shy or anything and all of their time together in this eps they both look so happy and free. During their time in WGM I can feel that Joy somehow really fell for Sungjae but at that time he kinda look like someone who is not ready for a real relationship, understandable because they are both young when this happen. But you can see in his eyes that Joy is really presious to him. I don't really know whether their relationship is real, or if its real that it already started on WGM but I am one of those people who are still hoping that IT IS REAL. Because they are both wholesome people and they both deserve to be happy.

I'm sorry to break it to you, but the cover is Koi fish (비단잉어) and Sungjae chose it because his late Grandpa was the first to breed it in Korea. Come to think of it. I think this album really has strong symbolism. Every lyric of this album is depressing except with CWTW.
Actually his Yook is written in 2016. The song he said he wrote 2 years ago was said in 2018. This song has an implication that he and his lover was 'separated'. The analogy is like SJ (the land) cannot reach the waves even though she is near. I believe they already dated in WGM and it's their agencies who told them to broke up.
His second singles are like a coping mechanism. That 'Chicken' song is happy but there's a bit of dark in that song. The story spoke of growth and hardship Sungjae endured. Yes, Chicken is based WGM. If you watched their WGM, there is a one episode SJ ordered chicken 'without thinking'. The 'What i learned from Chicken (Joy) is how to live and adjust' is very deep. It's like a coping mechanism along with his W.A.U.
His HMHN also seemed like an iteration with a strange I.O.Y. digress. And Hypnotized had the similar lyric as the first song.
And CWTW's lyrics finally i think is a song of reunion. It signifies Joy coming back to him. I think this is like they are having some kind of Long-Distance Relationship but Joy finally came back to him in the end. (Probably a clue that they are long in a relationship and their WGM never truly 'ended').

For me personally, I don't think this whole album is about her. I mean, he has life. Not everything will be about his love life and there isn't any reference about her in the MV of these 3 songs. Maybe part of it, but not all. Chicken could be about his work as an idol, HMHN & hipnotized could be just the results of his creative thoughts & other people involved.
And I don't believe they ever dated. Given Sungjae's personality, I don't think he'd immediately admit his feeling towards Joy if there was any, let alone confessed it. But what I do believe is he might eventually admit it after he feels the longing. After he hardly could see her. I think Missing You lyrics explained it really well, eventhough it's still just a mere assumption that this song was written by Hyunsik about Sungjae.

Well, since the album is 3x2 it's actually quite natural it's all for Joy. It would be awkward not to anyway. Though i admit it's still open to interpretation. But the lyrics really seem to point that way.
As for they are dating or not, i'm not saying it's 100% certain but it's very odd if they are not. This MV had to pass CUBE and SM's approval since obviously there are going to be rumors.

It is 2020 and these two are still making shippers cry. I for one am a realist and sometimes because of the ships I had before that I thought had believable hints which apparently were really only just coincidences, I always like to think about the worst case scenarios.
With SungJoy however, even if you want to give it up and move on to other ships, you simply can't. It is because their coincidences are just too different and more often than not seem more like hints than just coincidence, like a lot of bbyu shippers say, the feel like destiny, that they are inevitable. I have seen rumours of Joy dating actors, another with her senior, another from a popular bg, but my heart always tells me that as long as nothing is confimed we should hold on to what these two have. I sometimes think that they really had started having feels during the show particularly in Jeju, but then I feel like they haven't gotten together yet during that time and remained friends after the show. There seemed like a lull from late 2017 to early 2018, I am not sure if I am reading it right, but they seemed like they changed and were sad during those years, then eventhough they did not have any interactions in 2019 there were a lot of coincidences/hints on their insta account and that thing with Joy's signature.
Sungjae is a master, I think in giving hints and symbolisms, and that is what makes this ship different. Probably from the creative freedom he has from his agency. His MV and the song lyrics really gave me a ton of hope, their first meeting had that gift theme and in Hainan they told each other that meeting each other is a gift, we have seen all the symbolisms in the MV even the pessimist in me couldn't deny that that MV and CWTW is littered with hints and memories of the two. For me the song and the MV felt like his song gift for her.
If it turns out that they are really together now, I admire their loyalty and love for each other. To have a love that perseveres and is willing to wait that long, I am sure a lot of us can only wish.
If in the end it turns out to all just be a coincidence, I will be so heartbroken but like them will choose to treasure what they allowed us to see in their time together. I am always praying for these two. I hope one day they can finally truly and freely be happy.

Moreover if you consider 415 - Remember, the song Sungjae recommended in his IG before CWTW released. The last few months of 2019 and early 2020 it was easier to predict if she will post something 326 related on IG right around the time promotion materials for SJ's album are being released. When part 2 was out specifically Chicken I was telling my delusional self that if Joy posts smth related to it then there's definitely smth between the two, then she posted the espoir hotdogs with her usually 32 format. However I am not sure if it was late 2019 or early 2020 that her sister unfollowed BTOB on IG, plus she stopped wearing her favorite LV bracelet gift from SungJoyBar, last week of Feb, her signature has started changing too, from 6 at the end to just a curve. For me either they are no longer together or she feels like people are catching on.

To be honest, the picture hints did not appeal to me. It's just that Sungjae and Joy did so much together in WGM that whatever animation they would make, we could always somehow link these to their WGM scenes. Let us also not debate further who the girl in the MV is. Sungjae said himself that she is Melody in his interviews. We all know how much Sungjae appreciates his fans (just like any other BTOB member) so let us keep it that simple.
But what caught me was the clock time. Obviously, it wasn't random. The 5:02 time was a giveaway. It was also present in his previous MV. Translating it to dates, it would be Sungjae's birthday, May 2. With that line of thought, the what I believe was 10:07 clock time at the beginning of this MV could also be translated to a date, October 7. We all know that was Sungjae and Joy's virtual wedding date. It would be funny if this clock time was just a coincidence, right? Sungjae has always been a man of details.
From there, we can come up with so many theories. We can never be sure! We have no right to claim things. But what we can be at least 99% sure about is that October 7 was special enough for Sungjae to be included in his MV. Whether you are a shipper or not, you cannot take away the fact that Sungjae treasures that particular memory with Joy regardless if they are in a relationship right now or not. The comforts my longing bbyu heart at the least.

Yeah, to each their own. But for me, I have a hard time believing that those pictures were coincidences just because they've spent so much time together. Nope. Most of it are too specific and too many to be considered as mere coincidences. I mean, who the hell would come up with "sitting on a pavement under trees" when thinking about romance? It's not a common place for a date. And other pics also have the same details such as same outfits colors and settings.
Regardless of what their relationship actually is, I do believe Sungjae heavily took inspirations from their WGM times. And I refuse to believe that particular girl is just a representation of Melody with different hairstyles. It just doesn't make sense when at the same time here at 6:56 he shows Melodies with not just females, but also males. It's the right representation because a fandom supposed to be consisted of different genders unless there really isn't one melodude out there. I just thought that Cube has something to do with why SJ had to insist on pointed out that particular detail like that. That reaction vid seems to be made solely for that purpose, to tame the heated speculations about the girl.

Just one coincidence here. Sungjae rushed out of the record store and it's name was "Sinbaram Record". He found the girl standing in front of another shop named "Ice cream". He mentioned in his reaction vid. "Sinbaram" is one of BTOB's songs. Shop name here meant a song from his group. Making a wild guess, "Ice cream" could therefore represent a song from the girl (or her group) also, which could be Red Velvet's "Ice Cream Cake". Usually, a shop should have a title like "XXX ice cream" like "sinbaram record" here but it's just "ice cream". It's strange that record store is given a proper title while the ice cream shop is that . Anyway just a wild guess. Thx for the vid. Love bbyu so much.

Though I’ve been shipping them since wgm, I always feel like I can never get my hope high bc someday I have to be prepared if news of them dating other people comes out. So these days when these “coincidences” happen, rather than saying “oh? this is literally them!”, I just think that they just had many memories tgt that we couldn’t help but to get reminded of those memories. If these remind us, they must be reminded as well. That’s what I’ve been thinking these days.
Yeah, perhaps it'd be best to prepared ourselves for the worst case scenario. But for me personally, before the release of CWTW, I already thought that they were not together. Since 2019 I have given up because I thought Joy was with someone already & I was just sad to see that Sungjae seems to be the only one holding on. So, seeing them happy with someone else won't really be a problem for me. But then this whole 3×2=6, 6 o'clock and CWTW happened.
One or two times can still be counted as coincidences, but more than that? I don't really think so. All coincidences in this album are too specific to not be intentional. The bench & trees are too similar with their goodbye stage. The wind, gift & photos are too related with their WGM times.
But for worst case scenario, if they're not together then maybe:
1. Sungjae just use their WGM times as inspiration. Which can roughly be concluded that he used Joy. But I don't believe a good guy like Sungjae would do such thing. But maybe he asked Joy first. Who knows...
2. He's still the only one holding on and this album is like an attempt to move on.

Joy is more open to other people..that's way its always easy for her to get close to a lot of people bcs she is so friendly and is a conciderate person. Maybe that's why sometimes I feel we misinterpret her attention to poeple around her. Beside I saw joy mentioned no 6 a lot in variety shows. Well...that give me hope...not that high but enough to make me stay as a shipper lol. While Sungjae is a very cautious person. And he's not good in expressing his feeling. He loosens up only when he's with people he really knows and trust. So its not easy for for us finding him beeing close to gilrs.

Thinking of Sungjae and Joy always makes me cry. I don't know why, I always think about them ever since I watched WGM. My heart can't move on from them. It's my first to ship an idol. For me, I just wish if they're in a relationship, it is better to stay in private knowing the Kpop and the agency, like what happened to other idol whose relationship has been revealed eventually they'll broke up. And my heart can't contain that much hurt.

I watch their WGM episode last year or 2018. I was really hooked with them because out of all the couples in WGM, they are the most natural when in comes to their actions and emotions. You can clearly see in their eyes and face wheter they are awkward, shy or anything and all of their time together in this eps they both look so happy and free. During their time in WGM I can feel that Joy somehow really fell for Sungjae but at that time he kinda look like someone who is not ready for a real relationship, understandable because they are both young when this happen. But you can see in his eyes that Joy is really presious to him. I don't really know whether their relationship is real, or if its real that it already started on WGM but I am one of those people who are still hoping that IT IS REAL. Because they are both wholesome people and they both deserve to be happy.
