Here's something that just came to me. When Vanessa is saying "None of them will stop hunting you"; are we sure she is talking to Gregory? If the animatronics are meant to, at least normally; be friendly to Gregory, and Vanny is on Glitchtrap's side, perhaps she was talking to him?

I somehow have a gut feeling that Vanny is the female security guard in the trailer. Since Afton is controlling her, and his old habits never die, it’s most likely that Vanny is the security guard, I got this thought when MatPat said that we were “hiding”from the security guard and if we could really trust her, and my conclusion is absolutely not. Plus, who would know their way around the plaza better than a security guard?
So do you think we will play as a security guard or as someone else-maybe someone with a connection to Gregory (or Gregory himself)?
@@rebeccac.600 I’m inclined to say that we will play Gregory, and sometimes, possibly play as the animatronics themselves, since I think that Gregory can’t particularly see while in the abdominal cavity of the orange animatronic, I don’t necessarily have a lot of evidence to my statement, nor do I remember much about this video (which I will be watching again due to your comment, thank you lol), but knowing Scott from his confusing lore, I think we’ll just have to wait and see.
@@viab.5040 That makes sense, though I think it’ll be interesting to see if we play as all the animatronics and then have to watch as they’re either destroyed (like Chica was in that teaser image I think it was?) or taken over by Vanny/Glitchtrap.

@@rebeccac.600 oh it’s quite alright! My brain usually forgets a lot of things to just put in new information, it’s like a recycling system. Lol but I’ll enjoy it just like I did the first time I watched this video!
But yes, I do believe it will be interesting to play as the animatronics or as the kid. Though I do believe that playing as a security guard might be unlikely because due to the fact that Vanny is a security guard as well, if a security guard recognizes her, since sometimes people have that intuition or they can recognize her body behind that hand sewn suit (though unlikely), then they can report her to the authorities, or get killed by Vanny. And that’s my logic about it, but due to some of the images that were given as teasers and my reasoning with myself (never saying that my logic and reasoning are the truth or anybody else’s,) I do believe that the main character is the kid, which I believe is what you’re referring to as Gregory, and we will have small durations in the game where we will play as the animatronics to hide or gain advantage over Vanny.

Might've already been said by someone, and if so oops, but I'm pretty sure Vanny is Gregory's sister. In the books we have example after example of siblings, one angry and angsty that gets influenced by animatronics, and one that tries to save their (usually older) sibling. We might play as Gregory trying to save his sister from Afton.
Ok while I love this theory, and it would be an amazing plot twist. I don’t think so , because a lot of people have said that Gregory is a robotic recreation of the Crying Child, hence several sources of evidence.

Matpat, Im honestly surprised you dont understand it at this point, Bonnie is the character that scares Scott the most, so more often Bonnie is the character who's the most dangerous. Explains why Afton is always in a bunny suit, why Vanny is essentially Bonnie's counterpart in this game. Though it would have been cool to get a Glamrock Bonnie.

She could be manipulating the animatronics into hunting Gregory. Maybe we as Gregory have to get the animatronics one by one back on our side and fight back?

Mat honestly seems like a pretty emotional guy who doesn't try to hide what he's feeling too much. I imagine it's a complex feeling for him... they both seem like busy people and this was an hour they could sit down on the couch together and chat and play games uninterupted. But past that, it's always difficult when things change. When I graduated high school, almost all of us said we were SO glad to get out of there-- but most of us were crying at at least ONE point that night lol. Change is complicated!

If you look at the daytime animatronic, you can see a moon outline on his face. They may be the same animatronic but just change into each other depending on the environment.
I completely agree! It does look like they are the same animatronic but they just change forms based on the time cycle. Also, the female voice that talks to Gregory, sounds WAY too familiar to the voice that hides the tapes in Fnaf VR so could this be the same person perhaps?

I think the gameplay will be something like this: You can switch between two characters, Gregory and the security woman. The mission is to have both of them escape the pizza plex after five nights (plus a bonus sixth night). Their gameplay mechanics will differ, for example: playing as the security woman Vanny will not come after you, Rather it will be the animatronics because the animatronics don't like adults, especially ones in security uniforms. But playing as Gregory, you use the animatronics to help you escape from Vanny. Two very different challenges that will end up getting you the same ending. I think maybe at some point the security woman and Gregory will work together. These are just my thoughts about how the game might play. If anyone else has any other ideas about how the game might function I'd love to hear it!!! Thanks for reading! 💞
i love that Steph and i went on the same journey with fnaf. started off very invested loving the theories and then slowly losing interest and while still thinking the games and lore are cool also understanding it’s crazy ridiculous and knowing who no one is.
I feel like the sun/moon animatronics are one in the same. When looking at the moon version, you can still see a full circle as it’s head instead of just the crescent. When looking at the sun, you can see a crescent on its face. The only differences between the two would be the rays of the sun, which looks like they can collapse into the face, and the color palette of both, which is most definitely is just lighting (remember the dress meme?). This animatronic probably changes from day/night when the level changes times

when they made fnaf vr they were trying to clear the name, then once the rumours went away fazbear entertainment made the pizza plex and turned things from fnaf vr into reality

Little theory, what if Montgomery wants you and the security guard to catch vanny so afton doesn't get inside them. If you fail they burn the place down. At night the animatronics might be controlled by something, I dont think afton, but just food for thought.

I remember accidentally catching some of the very first test live streams when KRplus streaming first started and it was just the two of them fumbling around trying to get the equipment to work.
I'd imagine Fazbear entertainment would want to remove Bonnie to avoid any controversy surrounding the kindnapping and deaths. XD

I've noticed that apart from pizza simulator and Help Wanted, that when William as Spring Bonnie is the main bad there's not usually a Bonnie. I mean in FNaF 3 there's no phantom Bonnie. Maybe it's Scott's personal tradition with the games or something?

Jay: This game is about dual natures. Day/night, Sunrise/Moondrop (same animatronic in two modes), Vanessa/Vanny (Same person, two personalities).
You know for a franchise named after Freddy Fazbear, there ain’t a lot of lore about HIM going on.
Pretty sure Glamrock Freddy is going to play a big role in this game considering we’ve seen him doing various actions with him hiding/protecting Gregory (the 1st trailers ending lines, the figure that was released of Gregory hiding in Glamrock Freddy’s stomach,etc)
I get the impression the reason freddy seems to be taking a bigger role in this game as a possible ally is in response to that xD

i think the ball pit scene is a reference from the book "into the ball pit" and the guy in the book goes back in time so the fred plush might just be a reference like "you went back in time and now you have normal freddy" but yems just what i thought when i saw it

the ball pit is a time travel mechanic/portal. You gotta go back in time each night and save the security guard before she turns into vanny by preventing things from happening in the past. That's my theory (I'm joking mostly. Will be hilarious if I'm close at all though)

See, the theory I have is that Vanny and Vanessa are the same person however glitch trap has a hold over her during certain times of the day (bringing back the element of racing to the clock). This explains the name similarities that is shared between the two and how the male voice calls out to the “both of you”. Next, I think that we have to complete mini games, the golf course, race track, etc to earn tickets which can buy us lore or items we need to continue. Finally, I think the animatronics could be out to help us at first but vanny eventually will try tampering with them and setting them out to hunt us...

Remember when this was a story with a musky ambiguous backstory to possessed animatronics in a pizzeria that was thought to be a reference to a killing at Chuck E Cheese
Just watched back through this and something I found interesting is that all the animatronics seem to be portrayed as hostile forces within the trailer. The only exception to this is Freddy who is not shown in a way that makes it look like he is hunting the player.
Other thing I thought of is what if Vanny has control of the animatronics and the player has to go through each of their areas in order to free them.

I definitely think Freddy is safe. We don’t see him attack and in the figure we are hiding with him. But maybe the security guard doesn’t trust him.
Yeah and in the first teaser wasn’t he saying lines that were like helpful like “hide from her Gregory” or something like that. Also when the new animatronics were being introduced in this trailer it only showed the other three in their own sequences and Freddy was only shown when he was in the group with the others.
Wait if Freddy is safe, then who is the voice telling the animictronics to get Gregory, also why, when the trailer Began Freddys eyes are red when the trailer began
Maybe glitchtrap took control of them.
Then Gregory hides from the security guard, as vanny is in the guards brain, then they come with an agreement.

I just always thought she was tbh. With or without the hint, the whole trailer is heavily alluding to the fact that not even the night guard is going to help you. Plus, the fact that we don't even play as the night guard shows that she's gonna have at least some twist since the game wouldn't need Gregory unless her twist is impertinent to the story.
I honestly think they're different people. You see- Scott is a troll so this could be true but possibly a troll. You see vanny through the whole trailer. And the night guards' voice is different from vanny. Not to mention. How did the animatronics get hacked if it was the night guard while vanny's roaming around the mall. This is just an opinion. I just don't really like this theory it seems too simple and not something Scott would do.
There's two ways it could play out imo:
1. The security guard and Vanny are different people, which seems unlikely to me. Another new female character seems like it would detract from Vanny. I think it's the same reason that Bonnie was replaced, another rabbit would detract from Vanny.
2. Vanny, under GlitchTrap's influence or to investigate further after getting involved, is compelled to get a job at Freddy's and starts out as a decent human working as a security guard, then at some point goes full psycho with the costume. It'll be like a split personality thing caused by GlitchTrap controlling her and her trying to fight it.

I couldn’t help but notice that Freddy doesn’t have a “chase” sequence assuming that’s what they’re doing, maybe he’s the only animatronic on our side?

Glamrock Freddy has been intentionally made to stand out. Not only does he not have a chase sequence, but in the trailer beginning he is the only one not to have a dedicated closeup of his eyes glowing (he only appears with the entire group). Additionally, it's confirmed by a toy that he is helping this Gregory kid hide from Vanny, who we know is allied with Afton. He might be the first animatronic to genuinely help us though, but that could depend on whether we're Vanny in the game or a heroic protagonist, which is still unconfirmed to this point.

I think that the pirate ship from FNAF VR is in Roxane Wolf's room is because that game was created to clear the Freadbear Entertainment name. So, they added the ship into the establishment to hint or show that their name is still cleared and there is nothing to fear, because of course, "while it is true that some stories associated with our name were loosely based on real-life events, the majority were total fabrications from the mind of a complete lunatic"

Love how they made a 2 minute video into an hour, they really do know how to make a theory but a better game theory
I think they are like so far from eachother so thats why it is so hard to get out together and they both need eachother's help, so in this order of ideas one mecanic will be we as a player change from gregory to security guard, each one with their own abilities (gregory's being go into the suits and security guard's maybe have security cameras and control of the place) I have really high expectations on this game
