I think he’s actually just acting nervous/tense for the most part, since there’s a lot at stake in terms of his reputation and legal issues, that’s why he seems a bit “off”. That’s my benefit of the doubt, because it’s a pretty tense situation in reality.
What Ethan said about self help gurus is not an “obscure thought” lol. Really it’s just an observation, not even a theory. It’s a fact that lots of self help gurus are that way because they made it out of a bad situation and then feel qualified to try and help other people do the same.
