Yeah it's really messed up. Probably parents themselves have trust isues to do this kind of thing. She didn't even sat in that car and got lectured like she did. Does it mean you can't meet people anymore becouse there a lot of creeps? I bet parents even more susceptible to online scams than kids. Classic double standards. I don't say it's right to meet whatever, but closing off is not the solution. Point is know what you're doing and be carefull. Having trust issues is problem itself.
