Wild/feral parakeets! Didn't know there was such a thing in England (live in the States). Learning a lot from this series.

By the way you have a mealworms hanging on your Jacket.
I never seen a feeder with holes to be able to feed the birds mealworms. I love it.
I don't see anyone in my Neighboor doing anything for wild life. I give the wild birds mealworms that I raised. Am in New York. I guess everyone is too busy. I have a 20 year old compost no one have around here. I have a worm farm but don't let anyone around here know. They'll think am crazy. I love nature and wild life. I should had been born in the country. I love your yard.

I've just got my first container of live mealworms delivered but the first few I put out were snaffled by the local flock of starlings. Poor robin didn't get a look in. Think I will have to invest in one of those caged feeders so he doesn't get left out.

Starlings seem to take over my garden. of course I want to feed them too. but they are very greedy birds. put out live mealworms today right away they are at the feeders. I'm sure they watch me. i have two robins in my garden hoping they nest this year.

Crows, Jackdaws and starlings steal the mealworm I put out for the robins and tits. Does anyone know where I can buy a cage like that shown at time 3:15? Thanks

You obviously are not plaques by Starlings !
My garden has 95% Starlings and the rest are Wood pigeons , Collard Doves and Magpies. The last three are good cleaners as they pick up the mess the Starlings cause .
Tried every type of feeder ( Starling proof ) etc but with no luck whatsoever.
To say that Starlings are 40% in decline is hard to believe.

I feel sympathy for you but I wouldn’t mind having them

The collared doves have scared off the few starlings from my garden for now. Though next year when they come back in numbers, scarce birds stand up to them but then a good solution is to make your feeders easier for sparrowhawks to ambush. The starlings won’t know what hit them.

I dont mind having the starlings. its just they take all the food and the little ones fly away. do starlings ever go away?
