HALIDONMUSIC
I'm 77. Thanks for letting me join your conversation. When I was 17 I listened to classical music for the first time, as a university freshman who stumbled into the music room of the university library one day. A nice librarian explained the setup to me. There was a row of turntables to play 33 LP albums, with large headphones attached -- the leathery type that made us listeners look like WWII dive bombers. The sound quality was heavenly. The librarian introduced me to Bach, Beethoven, Handel, Mozart, Chopin, Debussy, dozens of other composers. And to virtuoso performers, now long gone, but their music lives on in their rich legacies of stunning talent embraced by unique and mesmerizing interpretation. That gift to me at age 17, my introduction to classical music, has stayed with me all these years, and for that I am eternally grateful.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful story, Chuck! We're honoured that you've stumbled upon our channel and it warms our heart to know that classical music has been accompanying you for so long โค
60 years of classical huh. Much respect
You are blessed,Sir.
Hope, you live a long nd happy life ahead
Thanks for sharing that! The first I heard was a string quartet in 6th grade. I was mesmerized! Only now, at age 60, have I rediscovered how beautiful it is. In today's world, we can use all the beauty we can get!
Beautiful story so like in the 60s n some cool headphones and thee way u explain oo, just can imagine how great it must of been
I'm 17 and I love classical music. Are there any other teens here? Classical music just hits different...a beautiful kind of different
Edit: The amount of comments here are amazing!โฅ๏ธI'm so happy to meet all of you classical lovers๐ผand thank you for the likes dearest ones๐ฅ

iโm only 13 and classical music is so calming to me
me tooโบ๏ธ
Turning 17 really soon! Youโre not alone! I use this music every time I study especially for APUSH which Iโm doing right now. Thereโs a certain air to this type of music that puts my mind in a hyper-focused state that makes studying quite enjoyable! I donโt know what Iโd do without it!
It's really beautiful to see other teens enjoying this kind of music!!!๐ฅโจ๐บMajority are blinded by the typical behaviours of teens and believe that all they listen to is depressing, cursing songs, which is very ridiculous. YAY!!! lol
To anyone reading this: You're a shooting star, capable of lighting up the darkest sky. Don't give up. There's always tomorrow, and you can try again. You are loved, you are important, you are meaningful, you matter ...regardless of any societal measure of worth. Your existence is a miracle I deeply cherish. Thank you for being born ๐๐

I can't count how many times I've come back to this video while I'm writing. It's enough mental stimulation to stop me thinking of anything but my work, but not enough to distract me from my writing. Perfect.
You have no idea how rewarding your words are for us H, thank you so much!

Me too! I must listen to this at least twice a week while working. And Luke Faulkner's songs are probably my favorites.
for the past two years this is the only thing i have played while studying, reading, working etc. it really works like magic!
What kind of things do you write? Erotic novels?
There comes a time in every man's life when he discovers he enjoys classical music.
I've always loved listening to classical music ever since I was a little child. Isn't that normal?
@Sewon BANG Oh okay, that's good then. It was implied in the comment as if it's a thing you learn to like as you grow up.

Rayth Slayer No, I didnโt really appreciate it until I hit my 20s. Was a good transition from my previous tastes ๐

Nothing expresses emotion like Classical Music. I only wish it wasn't considered "Old Fashioned." This is too beautiful to fade away with time.
We may be biased but we couldn't agree more, Brea! So many people consider classical music a thing of the past, but the truth is that it holds so much beauty and can touch one's soul๐นSince you're on our side on this, we feel like you would enjoy our "Classical Music is NOT Boring" playlists!

I have never listened to music while reading something. My wife is watching the TV and to avoid the distraction I put my headphones on and randomly looked up โmusic for readingโ. Happy reading? I have a school project on this book reading sucks. Just doing this to spice this boring book up a bit. But books and reading sucks balls, so not possible.

I read a lot of positivity in the comment section and I needed that thank you.
how?๐ญ
I find most study playlists distracting but I think this is just what I was looking for.
As a student I would spend countless hours studying while listening to this music compilation. Now, as a neuroscientist, I listen to this same video for countless hours while processing data and writing grant proposals! I even bought a clavinova piano to attempt to learn some of the easier pieces (not going well thus far, I need classes and more practice time haha).
You have no idea how incredible it is for us to read this Eric! You were a student and now you're a neuroscientist and our music still keeps you company as you work? It means the world, thank you ๐ญ๐ (also don't give up the piano, we believe in you!)
You are my people
Learn music theory, ,FIRST!!, , , then obtain some beginner music books, for your instrument, ,then a Hannon exercise book, ,then with large amounts of practice, , you'll have the ability, ,to play/enjoy any music you wish to play, , ,It is mandatory to learn the BASICS, ,FIRST!! . . .learn to Crawl, prior to attempting to run!!!!. . . . . It's worth it!!!
now I am curious about the effects of these music pieces on neural activities :)
That is so cool! Music really is something special.
Right now, there are people all over the world who are just like you. They're either lonely, they're missing somebody, they're depressed, they're hurt, they're scarred from the past, they're having personal issues no one knows about, they have secrets you wouldn't believe. They wish, they dream and they hope. And right now, they are sitting here reading these words, and I'm writing this for you so you dont feel alone anymore. Always remember, don't be depressed about the past, don't worry about the future, and just focus on today. If today's not so great don't worry! Tomorrow's a new chance. If you are reading this, be sure to share this around to make others feel better. Have a nice day! :)
Blessings to you I feel the genuiness of the msg.

I love classical music because there is so much going on in one song, each note represents a character, a emotion, dialogue. Theres romance, death, despair, love, sadness and hope. I love to close my eyes and imagine I'm in the music, skipping to each note, waving to each person that walks by, Taking a sip of tea and it being to sweet. There is so much life in classical music, I wish I could BE the music.
Classical music just speaks to you the way words never can.
I so agree with you. It speaks to my heart and soul. It also is supposed to help you retain what you read from what I read in an article in college.
I'm listening to this while reading The complete novels of Jane Austen, drinking green tea and listening to the rain outside. Have I become a book character?

Growing up during the 60s and 70s I was always a follower of Rock music, but lo and behold, in my uncle's home where I lived ten years, every saturday and Sunday he woke us up with his Grand piano playing many of these compositions. He was an opera singer as well, so that influence finally reflected me in me little by little, particularly on Saturdays, when it didnt feel right without Bach, Mozart or Wagner, I often went to bookstores around greenwich village new york on Saturdays or Sunday, and stay there for hours, reading art history, the occult or classic bohemian writings, while listening to the clasical pieces played in the store. It was always so peacheful and different from the world out there, and it meant home to me.. and now as I turned 69 here I am writing and listening to the subterranean classical influence in my destiny...
It's 2023 and i still listen to this Every time I read a book it's just unbelievably amazing
I am on my first day of college right now. I will come back here in four years with perfect scores and a new life. Wish me luck!

@@neztanizaki2346 Claude Debussy actually lived in the early 20th century (1900's), during the Impressionist Period. During this period, composers often wrote music in an impression of the classical style of their predecessors. This is often called neo-classical music because it sounds similar to music of the classical era, but it is not. In addition, many composers who lived during the Impressionist Period were heavily influenced by the artists of that era. For example, most of Debussy's works are his musical impressions of the paintings of the French artist Monet.

Thank you for the love! Honestly, we should bring classical music back and let it regain its well-deserved spot on top of the charts ๐
This music is FAR MORE famous than pop music. Most of this music is 100~300 YEARS OLD. Do you think any currently played pop music is going to be here in 100 years? Typical answer is Dylan, Elvis, Beatles! MAYBE... but, what radio station plays them REGULARLY? There are thousands of dedicated radio stations playing This music ONLY. Every good movie hires modern composers like Zimmer, Williams, Morricone, Einaudi... Un-popular? Pop music has existed for THOUSANDS of years... and it's all FORGOTTEN (except a few folk tunes) THIS music was played for the rich, by orchestras and pop played for the poor, in pubs. It's a matter of CLASS. Higher classes will always be a smaller group.
