one thing I don't like Maleficent 2 is that the villains didn't die in brutal pain.. first her, she just fell off (and maybe died) but its just a fall.. she should have suffered so much (I don't know.. like crushed by the trees or bitten to pieces by every fairy). Also, the comparison is wrong, Maleficent own her powers, they are part of her nature, they are not coming from a extraterrestrial entity and so far she never showed any problems at controling them, before or after Aurore.

I just finished watching this movie and I couldn't believe I cried my eyes out both times the tree people died. I do my understand but I was so sad when the first one grabbed it without knowing what it did and them the second one sacrificed himself I really cried hard 🤣😭

Not sure which was the biggest plot hole- that the organ didn't simply fire all the powder at once, that no-one thought to break the windows or that no-one thought to take out the organ player.
Yes thee organ player could’ve pressed and held the key to release the gas all at once, but based on her reaction to the massacre we can interpret that she wanted to extend the panic and suffering of the Moors. She probably thought she would exterminate them all anyway. The other questions you had are fair though.
She never healed the fallen magic creatures, she just brought same species of fairies by magic. Lots of feys died in the battle, I don't think maleficent can bring back them from dead, they just turned into dust. but she's a God level fairy and just assume that she brings them back. There must be deleted or extra scenes about this we couldn't see in the movie. I too love balthazar from film one and two, he always there for maleficent and Aurora, balthazar was a great soldier and a good person, he's more human than us. Leaf is the nickname given to balthazar by Aurora.
I'm glad that Thistlewit wasn't the one who sacrificed herself for the others, she's my favorite. She looks so pretty, especially where she fights Gerda.

I think there must be another way to stop Gerda. Knotgrass, Flittle and Thistlewit are fairies. Flittle could've used her magic to attack Gerda instead of going into the organ pipe.
Your right my friend, they are fairies with the power of giving gifts and curses, they are forbidden to kill still they can use their magic to stop others, they have the power to grow themselves (they transformed into humans for taking care of Aurora),at the end they shrink magically back to fairies, they can use their magic to shrink others or give shields to leaf (giant trees)to help other fairies, on the original movie, they give swords and shields to Philip for killing maleficent in the form of a dragon, maybe we can thing this way that flittle, thistlewit and knotgrass are pixies, because of that they are not powerful as Maleficent, or it's a do or die situation so flittle just thought of saving others rather than using magic, she just go for it and saved others. Also leaf (tree people) are like groot from the guardians of the galaxy, groot and leaf shares the same abilities, on the first movie, leaf are like warriors ,I believe that they can change their body to sharp thorns like a rose flower, they can even control animals. I'm pretty certain Gerda isn't dead. Notice how she falls over the edge right by the columns, but after the door is broken up and the fae are running out of the church, she's not there. The fae in that church were gentle souls; they wouldn't have killed her while she was defenseless - the worst I can see them doing to her is tie her up and let Maleficent sort her out. And before you say that doesn't make sense to survive that fall... I looked at a medical paper about Falls From Height in adults, which estimated the mean height of death at 16.7 meters. Among the group of people with "chest and head injuries" (ie. landed badly), 50% death occur at 10.5 m. In the group of people with little head injuries (ie. landed feet first), 50% death rate doesn't occur before 22.4 m! By my reckoning, Gerda's fall is about ~7-8m (Jenn Murray is 157cm). I think she would manage to break the fall with her feet, since Gerda is shown to be remarkably cool and competent throughout most of the movie (The only exception is just as she falls, which I think is because she has such an intense hatred of the fae that it has almost turned into a phobia: She completely freaks out when Knotgrass and Thistlewit flies up to distract her, even though they aren't really hurting her). (note though: "not dead" can still mean "seriously injured". She may be hurt, but even as an average person, odds would be she's not dead - and Gerda's clearly not average!)

I think Gerda was an excellent villain... she's not big and imposing - kinda petite really - but she manages to be scary just because of how intense, driven and competent, she is. You really get a sense that she is the last person you want to come after you - she won't quit and whatever weakness you have, she will find it and mercilessly exploit it. Covering _all_ eventualities is impossible after all, no matter how cool you think you are! Murray does an excellent job of playing her!

Not sure which was the biggest plot hole- that the organ didn't simply fire all the powder at once, that no-one thought to break the windows or that no-one thought to take out the organ player.
Yes thee organ player could’ve pressed and held the key to release the gas all at once, but based on her reaction to the massacre we can interpret that she wanted to extend the panic and suffering of the Moors. She probably thought she would exterminate them all anyway. The other questions you had are fair though.

She never healed the fallen magic creatures, she just brought same species of fairies by magic. Lots of feys died in the battle, I don't think maleficent can bring back them from dead, they just turned into dust. but she's a God level fairy and just assume that she brings them back. There must be deleted or extra scenes about this we couldn't see in the movie. I too love balthazar from film one and two, he always there for maleficent and Aurora, balthazar was a great soldier and a good person, he's more human than us. Leaf is the nickname given to balthazar by Aurora.
I'm glad that Thistlewit wasn't the one who sacrificed herself for the others, she's my favorite. She looks so pretty, especially where she fights Gerda.

I am so disturbed after finishing the movie, didn't expect those characters would die, especially Flittle! I was hoping that they will be reversed or regenerated but i guess the end is the end. I think there must be another way to stop Gerda. Knotgrass, Flittle and Thistlewit are fairies. Flittle could've used her magic to attack Gerda instead of going into the organ pipe.

I'm pretty certain Gerda isn't dead. Notice how she falls over the edge right by the columns, but after the door is broken up and the fae are running out of the church, she's not there. The fae in that church were gentle souls; they wouldn't have killed her while she was defenseless - the worst I can see them doing to her is tie her up and let Maleficent sort her out.
And before you say that doesn't make sense to survive that fall... I looked at a medical paper about Falls From Height in adults, which estimated the mean height of death at 16.7 meters. Among the group of people with "chest and head injuries" (ie. landed badly), 50% death occur at 10.5 m. In the group of people with little head injuries (ie. landed feet first), 50% death rate doesn't occur before 22.4 m! By my reckoning, Gerda's fall is about ~7-8m (Jenn Murray is 157cm). I think she would manage to break the fall with her feet, since Gerda is shown to be remarkably cool and competent throughout most of the movie (The only exception is just as she falls, which I think is because she has such an intense hatred of the fae that it has almost turned into a phobia: She completely freaks out when Knotgrass and Thistlewit flies up to distract her, even though they aren't really hurting her).
(note though: "not dead" can still mean "seriously injured". She may be hurt, but even as an average person, odds would be she's not dead - and Gerda's clearly not average!)

I think Gerda was an excellent villain... she's not big and imposing - kinda petite really - but she manages to be scary just because of how intense, driven and competent, she is. You really get a sense that she is the last person you want to come after you - she won't quit and whatever weakness you have, she will find it and mercilessly exploit it. Covering _all_ eventualities is impossible after all, no matter how cool you think you are! Murray does an excellent job of playing her!
