I still remembered that The Economist magazine talking sarcastically about the Nest after the Beijing Olympics, saying that it was an extravagant and costly showpiece for the Chinese government and that it would be completely useless after the Game. I worried after reading it - little did I know back then that The Economist is simply an attack dog for the Western imperialism. Its lies about China only intensified in recent years and I am in complete disbelief and disgust at its journalistic dishonesty.

To be true, the first few times when I first started visiting China about 2 decades ago, I must say China was also like that. A lot of beggars & pickpocketers. There was once a little girl (the most about 5 years old) under the instruction from her handlers a close distance away, held on my right leg tightly refusing to let go so as to force me to buy her flower. If she was on her own, I wouldn't mind paying her even though her flowers were not cheap. One local elderly guy saw the whole situation & came over to gently pull her arms away. He then told me I couldn't do it on my own as her handlers who were close by watching would took the opportunity to say I bullied the little kid & then would forced me to pay a hefty sum to settle.
NB: It's good to see the Chinese & country have now advanced greatly.

The following article is written by Ismail Bashmori, he is an Egyptian China watcher.
The truth is that China is the greatest country on the face of the earth. It makes all other countries look insignificant and contemptible. It is the most brilliant, most industrious, most ambitious, most educated, meritocratic and technocratic, most modern, sophisticated, and civilised, and best-governed by far. .
It is the first non-white, non-Western country to reach this status since the 1600s. The determination of this country is indescribable. Supernatural. There is no force that can stop it from accomplishing anything it wants to do.
It doesn’t matter who we are. Egyptians, Syrians, Pakistanis, Indians, Africans, even Americans. Next to the Chinese, we are pathetic. We can’t do what they do. We would have a mountain, an Everest of changes to make, and we would whine and bicker and fail at every one of them. China’s story since the 1980s has been one of an almost divine metamorphosis.
Next to China the entire Western world from Alaska to New Zealand has stagnated. Next to China the entire developing world from Brazil to Madagascar has progressed only at a crawl.
China is the mother of all gargantuan bullet trains. Every day it manages to create something new and astonishing. And unlike the United States, unlike the British Empire, unlike the French, Dutch, Germans, Spanish, Portuguese or any other Western nation that had its turn at being a superpower in the past four centuries, China doesn’t need to run anybody over or take something from somebody else, to rise majestically.
China is also standing up to the West all by herself. The West can’t believe their four-hundred-year-old global supremacy is being challenged. They hoped that the more China developed, the more it would submit to their influence, interests, and leadership. That didn’t happen. So now they will do anything possible, short of a nuclear war, to make China end.
Their goal is to destroy this country. That’s why, although the United States has killed several million people and turned several regions of the earth into hellscapes.
China is the worst fear of our planet’s Western masters. They want you to despise and dread a country that’s done nothing to you, that hasn’t invaded anyone, bombed or sanctioned anyone, that hasn’t overthrown any foreign government, or used its military on anything since 1979.
China is the only major country in the nonwhite developing world, to stand up to the West. To look it in the eye when challenged or threatened.
The Global South are simply Western puppets who submitted long ago. Even the most powerful ones. Saudi Arabia, Brazil, India.
The 1500s-1000s BC were Egypt’s time. Antiquity belonged to the Greeks and Romans. The 1700s belonged to France, and the 1800s to Britain. From 1945 to the present, the world has been under American overlordship. And they call it the Pax Americana but there isn’t much Pax in it.
There’s plenty of Pax if you’re in Europe or Australia. But the Middle East? Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Iran and Yemen in the past 20 years. Latin America? They’ve destroyed that part of the world beyond any hope of recovery. Africa? It’s only been spared because of disinterest. The US sees Africa as nothing. The whole West does.
But in the twenty-first century, we are witnessing the rise of China. We are decades away from China becoming the greatest power on earth. This will be China’s time, and there’s nothing anyone can do about it. Attack China all you want, curse her and monger rumours and hysteria - but the truth is that none of your accusations are backed up by evidence. The Western press is under the thumb of Western governments that want to stay on top of the world for eternity. And the truth is that China is not affected by the noise and maneuvers of her enemies.
For her first thirty years, from 1949 to 1979, China was basically blockaded and isolated economically and politically by the West. It didn’t even have a seat in the UN General Assembly. And it was dirt-poor in those days, barely a speck of the global economy, a tiny fraction of Japan’s or Germany’s GDP - not even able to prevent famine. And it still didn’t submit to pressure or take any orders. Why on earth would it do that now?
China will be the next global power. There’s nothing that can be done about that. The first stage is that its economy only needs to grow at 4.7 percent per year to become the world’s largest by 2035. That means the usual, historical bare-minimum of 6 percent is already overkill. The US can build as many bases as it wants, slap as many sanctions as it wants, recognise whatever bogus genocides it wants. That’s what it’s been doing all along. Has any of it made a difference? China can adapt to any situation. It took China a mere ten years to go from being barred by the US Congress from participating in the “International” Space Station, to building its own Space Station from zero.
Above only part of the article, you can read the full article under the following link.

Both are very similar in some ways. Both were post-colonial impoverished dysfunctional nations until Globalization. Both have massive numbers of people who, as soon as possible, migrated to Western countries. Both have an advantage of massive populations and more importantly 'demographics' aka working age people (China's came and went a little sooner) so they can sell gigantic amounts of cheap labor for Big Global economy. Both are kept relatively stable by US Military enforcement of global trade.
India has 1.4 Billion people over a large landmass and China has 1 Billion.
Both are entrenched in Eastern religions (similar, shared, common religious worldviews)
Both have been rising into modern '1st world' economies at breakneck speeds. India just a bit later and still has its 'golden growth' coming for the next 15 years.
China is now finished its golden fast growth phase and will end over 15 years.
more obviously, both share a border and China has 300 Wolf Warrior Commandos who get beat up by 200 Indian regular guards.
both have massive 'GDP' which in itself doesn't say much but both Indian and China have around the same GDP 'per person' that fluctuates around the 100th of 200 countries. both are in that zone of a south American nation, a Vietnam, a Ukraine sort of poverty level.
Both have similar sized military and both have (allegedly) nuclear weapons.
Both Indian and China share another similarity in that despite being relatively poor nations on average, there will be stunning gaps between the absurdly wealthy and then stunning dirt-eating poverty of many.
however, the two 'rising giants' (huge populations) of the East do have very different political and social systems.

      3) China has modernised infrastructure, India has 3rd world crumbling ones.
      4) China is still growing faster than India with 5.5% of 19 Trillion vs 8.5% of 3.7 trillion.

Peoples who keep posting up comparing India Versus China are ignorant or stupid as they never accept the fact of China 5X in GDP and 5 X their people earning differnces.
Please accept the reality and do not make fool of all indians and India. Latest report from IMF on China contribution to the world economy.According to the IMF’s World Economic Outlook (WEO) report in October, global economic output is forecast to expand by 3% this year, to which China is expected to contribute 0.9 percentage point, Barnett said.
He made the remarks at a launch of the publication in Beijing last Friday. The event was organised by the IMF Resident Representative Office in China and the International Monetary Institute at the Renmin University of China.
By comparison, the United States is forecast to contribute 0.3 percentage point while India’s contribution might be 0.5 percentage point, Barnett told China Daily on the sidelines of the event.
On 2024, China is forecast to contribute 0.8 percentage point of the 2.9% global growth, just under one-third and still higher than 0.2 percentage point of the United States and 0.5 percentage point of India, he said.
The WEO, published lastTuesday, has lowered the 2023 economic growth forecast for China to 5% from 5.2%, citing the pressures brought by the weakness in the real estate sector
India cannot even build enough toilet as a human basic right for his people as the link provide here {what a shame} #opendefecation.Muslims make up 15% of India’s population, but India’s largest minority is facing rising violence. With lynchings happening just two hours away from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence, a police shooting on a train targeting Muslim residents and Muslim students being attacked in school, many Indian Muslims are wondering if they are safe in their homeland.
India hosted multiple world leaders for the G20 in 2023. But there is a stark difference between the India projected to the outside world and the reality on the ground. Government leaders like Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath have been calling for India to be a Hindu nation. The rise of Hindu nationalism and anti-Muslim sentiment is now mainstream, especially in the movies coming out of Bollywood - India's Hindi-language movie industry.

@0:20, Many Olympic host countries, including USA, build sport-dedicated structures with very short service life - as cheap as possible and as fast as possible. Consequently, these sport facilities do not survive the test of time. The Olympic sport structures in USA that escaped the demolition derby are either refurbished antiquated ones having historical value or annexed by a needy public institution with the necessary resources. Most structures were in such poor condition after several years of wear-and-tear , and the extraordinary maintenance cost to remedy the marginal or questionable construction that the economic equation justify their demolition. USA has hosted the most Olympic events. Ironically, only very few Olympic structures survived. The local municipality could only salvage a few sport structures due to quality construction issues. In contrast, China has built Olympic facilities that endures the test of time; many are still in use consistent with in their primary sport mission. The ‘Bird Nest’, the ‘Water Cube’, and many others are still faithfully serving their sport missions.

We will not regard India as an opponent. In fact, our only opponent is our former self. Of course, the advanced technology, science, art and culture of the United States and Western Europe are also examples for us to learn from. Westerners may think that China poses a threat similar to that of the Soviet Union or Nazi Germany, but in fact we are not particularly interested in pursuing military hegemony. What we hope to build is a country that is advanced in science, technology, economy, culture and art. The military power only provides a safe external environment for us to develop these. The same waste happened in Rio. Now they're having talks about spending 4billion for a new stadium in Brisbane, after the BS that the 2032 would be a different, sustainable Olympics. I really hope they don't go trough with it.

As NEITHER Chinese nor Indian, let alone Blacks/Whites, i think China is more developed.
It will be fair if you compared India with Indonesia, Brazil, or Mexico. It's fair too, if you compared China vs China, e.g. Guangdong vs Shandong, Xizang vs Xinjiang.

_"if you compared India with Indonesia, Brazil, or Mexico"_ *YOU WISH.*
ALL three, Indonesia, Brazil, Mexico are far, FAR, FAR more developed than "incredible! superpower! india!".
*It's been said over and over that: "india is Sub Saharan Africa with more roads".*
There are villages in northern India that look EXACTLY like villages in Burundi and Rwanda and Tanzania and Ethiopia.
