If you’ve already seen the first video I made and want to just skip to It Chapter 2 then I’ll leave that time coded in the description but there’s a couple of additions for the first movie too if you wanna stick around.
There will be heavy spoilers here so if you haven’t had a chance to watch either films and don’t want anything ruined then I highly suggest that you turn off now.
With that out the way let’s get into our breakdown of every time that Pennywise was hidden away in the background of a scene.
It Chapter 2 Hidden Pennywise
The first one we see in It Chapter 2 is during the introductory logos in which we can see the deadlights floating around the Warner Bros and New Line Logo letting us know that these will be major parts of the film.
This is Pennywise’s true form and it’s awesome that we kick start the film with a nod towards the creatures real appearance.
In Beverly’s home we see he run past a large painting of her and her husband Tom Rogan. Over Tom’s shoulder you can see the almost shadowy form of Pennywise almost controlling him. Pennywise could have corrupted Tom over the decades and this has lead to him abusing Beverly similar to how her father did.
It could also be a reference to the source material and 90s adaptation in which Pennywise controls Tom and gets him to kidnap Bill’s wife and bring her to his lair as a hostage.

I would say it's even more obvious than that. That is definitely Pennywise and it's not even the librarian as the disguise....the librarian is actually the one sitting down in the back of the room. She has a yellow dress (shown at 2:07) and we see her as the balloon floats past towards the basement (2:53). That's not a librarian "doing her job" because it's not even the librarian, it's straight up Pennywise just creepin.

He feeds off fear as well as flesh. In the beginning their fear was his favorite snack until they found a way to deny him his favorite treat.

I noticed the librarian staring the first time I watched this movie and nearly shit myself. They she stands slightly hunched, eyes piercing even though it’s blurry, it was like an animal watching its prey.

Me too. I saw it in theaters with friends and after the movie I brought up how creepy it was and everyone was like "when did that happen?" It was such an eerie part.

I always knew about the Steven King universe having cosmic horror, but the shear amount of Pennywise sightings in the background really helps illustrate how powerful of a monster IT is.
You again forgot the clown figurine at the bar back at the hotel. It changes from a Unicorn to a clown in different shots when they were discussing the plan.

The librarian, I believe, was the easiest to notice - in my opinion. Honestly, I couldn’t take my eyes off her, once I realized she/it was very clearly an ominous character.

The Turtle in the book is what helped the losers club defeat Pennywise, he told them “thrust his fist against the post, and still insist he sees the ghost”, but when they returned as adults, the turtle had died.

I've noticed the librarian the first time I've seen that movie, and it played a huge part at terrifying me, because from there on I thought that Pennywise could turn into any person and could be literally anyone at any time
Not only that but Pennywise is influencing the town's people, meaning it is making people turn a blind eye, being ignorant or being mean. You could say that the atmosphere in and around Derry is Pennywise itself.

In book it says that they've managed to do it and each (except Mike who never left) had a succesfull career not only because of their talents and drive, but partially because IT was afraid of them after their first battle and made everything IT could to drive them away from Derry and never come back. That's why Mike never left. He decided to stay as a guardian of Derry, to watch if IT returns again.

That librarian scene really gave me the creeps in the first watch through.
Also, There was a scene after Ben ran away from "IT" at the school in Chapter Two.
How Pennywise ended up in the locker behind Ben, not only did pennywise Teleport, but he also became the poster of Danny Wood, which has a creepy smile on it and it's eyes are looking at Ben from behind.
The kid who attacks the gay couple at the beginning of the movie looks like he has the dead lights on his forehead, disguised as spots. Interesting detail.

I've always thought that they must have deleted a scene after Ben flashes back to the scene in the classroom, because it cuts back to Ben as an adult and then...nothing happens. All the other adults get a revisit from Pennywise after their respective flashbacks, so why not Ben?
When you see that the compilation is almost 20 minutes long, you really know that the director is a mastermind of fear- because you didn’t notice it in the scenes at first glance. *You were too scared to figure out what was making you uncomfortable.* *Just like Stephen King’s writing.*

The librarian was the scariest one for me😭 I never noticed it when I first watched it in theaters, because I was so focused on Ben. When I re-watched it, I literally got chills
now i see why people still like these movies despite being lower rated.
Lower rated?? What ratings are u checking? Lol. The first one got 86%, that's pretty high. The second only 60-some % but that's not too bad either, and the audience score was like 78% or so. I definitely wouldnt call these "lower rated" personally. Especially since it's so hard to make a truly good horror film these days, like Hereditary or Doctor Sleep.
i turned this video on during the night, remembered how i was scared shitless watching IT, and saved it to watch another day.
Huge plot twist: Bill, the man that plays Pennywise said in an interview that pennywise actually wanted to die, so he basically got what he wanted, meaning pennywise won. Lmao that's so mind blowing

pennywise could also be seen in the locker in chapter 2, when Ben is hidden in there we see the eyes behind him, really damn creepy.

1 missed cameo is the conference that Ben was in during the beginning. The older guy who was talking to Ben was the same actor who played Ben in the 1990 miniseries
Pennywise’s subtle background appearances in Chpt 2 just gave this movie a lil boost for me. I still think Chpt. 1 is superior but now I like Chpt 2 a tiny bit more
yeah I'm the same, I actually like the more human side of Chapter 2 but for pure horror the first is the best.
In the clown room, Pennywise is one of the clowns because it shows his head at one point. And another figurine in there at the same scene where it shows Pennywise standing there watching Richie a taller clown doll slowly turns its head
It blows my mind the Librarian is so overlooked XD I guess it is kind of ambiguous but I noticed it while in the theater. My wife didn't understand what the hell I was trying to say so I felt insane at the moment lol
