#하이라이트레코즈(Hi-Lite Records)의 #윤비(YunB)가 일본 힙합 프로듀서 누자베스(#Nujabes)에게 헌정하는 추모곡 'Yayo'를 발표한다. 무료로 공개되는 이번 싱글은 미국 뉴욕에서 촬영한 뮤직비디오와 함께 하이라이트레코즈 공식 사운드클라우드(SoundCloud) 계정과 유튜브(KRplus) 채널을 통해 누자베스의 기일인 2월 26일 0시에 공개된다.
윤비는 하이라이트레코즈 입단 후 싱글 'Runaway, Pt. 1', 'Runaway, Pt. 2'를 연달아 발표하고 미국과 일본, 한국을 오가며 국제적인 활동을 하고 있는 신예 힙합 아티스트다. 프로듀서, 래퍼는 물론 DJ 활동까지 겸하고 있는 윤비는 재즈와 최신 사운드를 결합한 자신만의 개성 있는 힙합을 추구하며 많은 힙합 팬들의 주목을 받고 있다. 이번 싱글 'Yayo'는 재즈 힙합을 대표하는 아티스트 누자베스에 대한 경외감을 담아 그의 대표곡 중 하나인 'Children's Attraction'을 샘플링해 만든 곡으로, 흔히 생각할 수 있는 진지하고 엄숙한 느낌의 추모곡이 아닌 누자베스가 생전에 음악을 통해 보여주었던 재지하고 따뜻한 감성을 담은 비트 위에 흥겹게 달아오른 파티의 즐거운 분위기를 표현하였다. 동료 래퍼 메이스원더(MaseWonder)가 함께 참여하여 위트 있는 가사를 선사했고, 음악이 주는 즐거움과 중독성을 여자친구와 마약에 비유한 독특한 설정의 후렴 가사와 몽환적인 멜로디가 귀를 잡아끈다.
윤비는 이번 싱글 발표에 이어 3월 3일 홍대 무브홀에서 열리는 누자베스 추모 공연 '누자베스 오마주(Nujabes Homage)'공연에서 일본의 유명 프로듀서 히로아키 와타나베의 솔로 프로젝트인 리플러스(re:plus)와 함께 컬래버레이션 무대를 꾸밀 예정이다.
