You know there's a BIG difference between producing content from the ground and pure editing picking the best parts of a massive library of content from small interviews to huge productions. This is a great video, but it's not like any other production couldn't do the same if they could cut together any media they wanted instead of shooting and producing every single shot themselves. People are going to not understand my point and whine like I'm trying to take something away, you just gotta realize how different it is making a video being able to cut pieces from anything you want and having to make everything yourself. There's a reason the UFC, or Disney, or netflix couldn't produce something like this because they HAVE to OWN everything, they have to make money. This guy could make something like this from pure passion putting with whatever content he wanted. That's why this is great and could never be "real" real in that sense coming from anywhere else but a fan.
Come back every so often to rewatch. This entire saga was monumental for the UFC LW division, and even the UFC as a whole, in ways that are still to this day unfolding in how the division has carried on since. Masterful editing and compilation of the entire sequence of events leading upto and including this fight, one of the best combat sports replay movies to watch that's ever been and probably will ever made given the impact of the storyline behind this fight and the way it's portrayed in this video. Truly great stuff that really captures the weight and essence of it all.

I can't imagine the amount of editing that went into this. Having to collect so many pertinent pieces of recorded audio from interviews and news reports to overlay with quality footage. Most professional editing job I've seen on youtube and all in a feature length production that flows the timeline of every significant event so effectively. I can't imagine the amount of editing that went into this. Having to collect so many pertinent pieces of recorded audio from interviews and news reports to overlay with quality footage. Most professional editing job I've seen on youtube and all in a feature length production that flows the timeline of every significant event so effectively. Glad I already subbed and put notifications on a few months ago to get this one right when it went up.

I just want to say from one filmmaker to another, you have done a truly incredible job with this documentary. I watched it when it first came out and so have all my friends that I've shared it too. At least once or twice a year when we get together we always somehow end up watching this documentary.

You know there's a BIG difference between producing content from the ground and pure editing picking the best parts of a massive library of content from small interviews to huge productions. This is a great video, but it's not like any other production couldn't do the same if they actually could cut together any media they wanted instead of shooting and producing every single shot and interview themselves. People are going to not understand my point and whine like I'm trying to take something away from the guy who made this, you just gotta realize how different it is making a video being able to cut pieces from anything you want and having to make everything yourself.
There's a reason the UFC, or Disney, or netflix couldn't produce something like this because they HAVE to OWN everything, they have to make money. This guy could make something like this from pure passion putting with whatever content he wanted. That's why this is great and could never be "real" real in that sense coming from anywhere else but a fan.
1:35:40 The way khabib escapes the in cage security, manages to climb fence while shaking them off, performs the most esquisite 2 footed jump over McGregor's corner team as none of them manage to catch him with their flailing hands, and lands precisely on Danis, is truly one of the most spectacular few frames of footage I have ever seen
