I wouldn’t mind going. I’m a Texas native but never have been down there.
I live on a ranch, you definitely should bring a hat. Wear layers as the morning can be cooler and as the day progresses, it can get hot.
I definitely would probably drive down with a cattle hauler and a ton of moving blankets 😂
I just came back from the Round Top spring fair last week and I highly recommend to rent a golf cart that allow you to cover a massive amount of vendors from Cole's Antiques to Excess I and all the major Warrenton Fields from Tree Park Field to Bar W, Zenck and Zapp Halls. You are only allowed to ride the cart on the east side of Hwy 237 but you will cover hundreds of vendors!
This is definitely on my bucket list. But I also wanted to commend the Homeworthy producer for asking the BEST questions! Great interview.
Next time show more pictures while you talk
I would have loved to have seen more of the booths and their wares. Hope they'll do a second part to this video
The channel is doing too much quantity. No quality on this one. I really don't want to watch people go on and on. I'm not ever going to Texas now.
@@gregpendrey6711 Awww come to Texas , most people here are down to earth and very friendly , another great Antique show in Texas is Canton Trade Days in Canton Texas .
Thank you ladies ❤
A great venue at the show is LaBahia! Lots of great vendors. It is the first venue on the right when you exit 290 to 237!!
For lodging and end of the day dining, also check out the small towns near Round Top. They’re less crowded and have their own personalities.
I agree, we stayed in Brenham Texas and its a quick car ride to Round Top , they have nice indoor sit down restaurants in Brenham Texas too and check out the quaint little antique shops in their old downtown area there too , they have really nice stuff and reasonable prices .
i LOVE Round Top!
Love this go Steph
Love this channel but I expected more photos or video and less chat. Sorry but most are not interested in that chat. Oh, well. ❤
This is a Huge Antique Fair , I was just there recently , Beautiful things , my advice for the people that run the Antique Fair , is they need more Eat In Restaurants and more Public Restrooms in certain areas , Not everyone wants to eat outdoors with the flies and bad mosquitoes ,
There is no controlling committee that runs the Antique Show. More "eat in restaurants" won't have the volume of business needed to stay open off show, the town only has a population of 87 and around 700 mailing area. Each venues controls the amount of restrooms they provide.
@@WhiteGuyTyrone Thanks for your reply , maybe just build a big indoor building with food trucks around it , people could buy what food they like and eat indoors.
Can you let’s know the show date for 2025? I’d love to fly over to attend the show.
Show dates have been changing lately. At best the middle of March to the end of March, and the middle of October to the end of October. Each venue gets to set it's own dates, there is no controlling committee.
Hi mom
If you go please expect that you will be very hot and it is very dusty. You will not be able to see everything as it is enormous even if you plan three solid days of walking you still won't cover all of it. Have an idea of what you're looking for when you go. Go with the right mindset and you will have a good time.
So, around how much $ does it cost to go to roundtop?
The bulk of the show is in a 12 mile section of Hwy 237, there are 2 venues that charge an entrance fee, Big Red Barn and Marburger Farms. Depending when you come to the show, at the beginning or the second week will depend on how much a room will cost. There are about 300 rooms available in the immediate Round Top area, Brenham, La Grange and Giddings are 15 to 20 minutes away and have rooms. Rooms in the Round Top area during the two and a half week show range from around $200 a night, to $700 and higher a night. You need to book a room early, READ the cancellation policy.
Doesn't Rachel Ashwell have a hotel in Round Top? The prairie.
She used to. She sold it a few years ago, and I believe it’s a private retreat now.
@@sandraborneclairelovestrea2641 ohh
I miss Rachel's show. Also isn't Junk Gypsy there?
@@deboramccallum3987 yes, Junk Gypsy is still here and doing great. (I live 15 minutes away). 😊
Those cliche texas themed outfits are ridiculous
Agreed! Everybody flying in from other states and cosplaying cowboy is hilarious.
Overpriced everything.
Respectfully disagree! I’ve found great deals there. In fact, I’m driving home from Round Top right now with a car full of treasures!
I mean, I lived in Dallas for 10 years and got to First Monday but never got to round top. It’s a must for me, but I could not care less about “being seen” in fashion. Texas is hot and dirty. A rolling buggy and big wallet are a must. 😊❤
