What Mommy Long Legs Hides Off Camera that No One Can See in Poppy Playtime Chapter 2

It's pretty interesting that Mommy was apparently very motherly and kind to the other toys, but now she killed almost every other toy in the chapter while actively manhandling Poppy. She's been here for so long that she doesn't even care about her fellow toys anymore, just making the player suffer...

to everyone whos confused why pj isnt dead,we cheated we didnt meant to go to the room(where we break the glass and go in) which explains why she says "i HATE cheaters" and since we cheated she didnt kill pj cuz pj didnt fail her WE failed to play fairly thats why she tries to kill us in the end,also since pj IS alive i would love to see pj again in future chapters.Since pj is alive they SHOULD do smth with him in the future chapters

Someone mentioned that PJ likely wasn't killed because Mommy had conspired with him to make his game unbeatable. The player wasn't supposed to be able to survive it like the other games (from Mommy's perspective of course). If you compare the games I think it leads in a similar direction. The first game was with one toy that could be pulled away from the player if the player succeeded. The second game upped the difficulty, increasing the number of toys, but still giving the player the ability to keep them away. The third game went back to one toy but made it impossible to stop PJ if he got too close. Also, both PJ's game and Mommy's game were set up code-wise so that their speeds would correlate with the player. If the player went slower so would PJ or Mommy, if the player went faster, so would PJ or Mommy. Mommy killed the other toys because they were supposed to kill the player, Mommy meant for the games to be wholly in the toys' favor. In the statues game, Mommy was more active in the planning, therefore it wasn't entirely PJ's fault, he did exactly what he was supposed to do. In the end, Mommy had to take things into her own hands anyway.

To be fair, us getting away from PJ was unexpected. There was literally a dead end in that game and we managed to get away. Us winning those last two games was won pretty fairly, seeing as there was a provided button in Musical Memory that "broke" the game, and we fended off all the Huggies in Whack-a-Wuggy. MLL knew that we would definitely lose the last game and wanted it that way, so us getting away wasn't PJ'S fault. Not that us winning the first two games was Bunzo or the Huggies' fault, either, but y'know

Is it just me or would it have looked way better if they were torn apart and drenched in blood? Judging by the T-pose of the mini-huggies, I'd say they did it in a hurry. PJ probably survived, since I imagine that when we ran away from him, Mommy came straight to us and didn't have time to hunt him down.

Would say PJ is alive, he is bigger than Bunzo or the Mini Huggies, and more of a danger to fight for Mommy.
Also, she was pretty pissed at the player, so she rather chased after us then.

I was mind blown when I first heard the files in my playtrough, i heard the screeching of bunzo and a little bit of voice of mommy.. the same with the huggy buddies, its just the screech when they kill the player.
I found it really good when I realized that the developers thought all that stuff through, even though its only a small detail and has nothing to do with the story.. yet..

This is such a cool detail in the game, and I love that the creators put it in.
I just wish they'd put a bit more work into the "dead" monsters, though. Like, maybe they could've made the corpses look bloody and/or mangled in the webs, rather than just plop in some T-posing models. That just comes off as more comical than scary.

Basically, the definition of "killing", at least according to Mommy, is to set the victim body in their default pose (preferably T-posing) and then stick them onto spider webs

I heard the Huggy scream when Mommy kills them before,but I always thought it was from whatever Kissy was doing before we see her.
PJ is probably alive cause Mommy was busy chasing us instead of getting angry at him for failing.

I find it odd that after the wack-a-wuggy game, we meet kissy missy. Supposedly, poppy was the only perfect toy and the others were hostile, so I don’t know if she helped the player because of mommy killing the Wuggies, or if she was looking for something. From the look of it, it’s almost like she was navigating the building looking for something.

Finally someone who noticed this. I noticed that detail during my 2nd play through, it's really interesting that a lot of theorists didn't mention or notice this (I guess it's because it's not a really. important detail). My only guess for what happened to pj pug-a-pillar is that when the player breaks and escapes mid-game of statues, pj didn't actually fail to kill the player. Not to mention that mommy was so focused on hunting down the player. Either she got too focused on hunting down the player then forgot about pj, or because pj didn't fail to kill the player unlike the others, she spared them?

Now I think about it, I wonder if that's why Kissy appeared to us. She heard the cries of the other Huggies and came by to investigate and that's when she found us. Maybe likely the reason she didn't attack us was that we had no blood or fur on us so we couldn't be responsible for harming them.
Also, there is another thing I just thought about. I wonder why Mommy Long Legs decided to hang Bunzo and Huggies above the ground instead of leaving them like the other smaller toys lying around. The likely possibility was to hint to the player about how angry mommy was and what she could do. But I feel it might have something to do with The Prototype.
It's clear that Mommy likely feared The Prototype as she didn't want to part of him. I wonder if the reason she moved them up there was to protect their bodies from becoming part of the Prototype or could they have been placed there as an offering to protect herself.

For me there are 2 things for PJ. One mommy didn't have time to fight him while we were about to escape. Two PJ is a bigger toy and is probably gonna be more annoying to fight because he might be able to injure mommy.

I really dislike that they're in a default pose, it makes it seem very low effort, either that or it was implemented as a last thought nearing the end of development; either way, I do hope a later patch adds some personality to their corpses.

I do love how the devs hide details in plain site above the player. We don't look up often if we aren't expecting anything, so leaving bits up there for people who do is really cool

Maybe... Mommy long legs kills the loser of each game. Since the player ‘cheated’ in statues technically PJ wins and wins his life

I knew about how Mommy killed Bunzo shortly after I watched some people playing the game, but I didn't know that she put him in her web in the Game Station, and about how she killed the mini Huggy's and put them in her web too. I'm curious to find out what happened to PJ and if we're ever going to see him in the future chapter(s) of the game

My theory as to why we dont hear PJ getting mauled or, at the very least, see his corpse, has two parts
1. She was busy tracking us down. she probably didn't have time to deal with him
2. He was too big.
Mommy is much smaller than one would expect being much smaller than huggy, he himself being 17ft tall, compared to PJ's (supposed) 50ft length

TRANSFER REQUEST: Mommy Long-Legs acts warmly towards the other experiments.
Reality: Kills other experiments if they fail the task to kill the player.

Theory: I say PJ IS alive, and that he is a main part of Mommy, meaning either PJ is her boss, enemy, or whatnot. (PJ and Mommy being friends theory) I think it would be SO interesting if Chapter III is where Huggy Wuggy comes back after PJ and Mommy started rebuilding him. Of course, Mommy is long gone. At her death scene, there was that odd skeleton black hand that grabbed her down into that hole. Kim sure in the game files, or with hacks, it is just a 2D animation with no information, but I would love to see PJ fully revive Huggy to where PJ is the next victim, in Chapter III. In Chapter IV (based off what I said earlier,) Huggy and the hand are the only ones left. That hand then gets Huggy, Mommy, AND PJ. ❗️The hand then builds a morphed-mix of all three mangled toys, to which is the final boss. After beating the morph, you then are at the exit of the building when ‘the hand’ grabs you back in, kills you, and then the building explodes leaving only residue of one final tape, somehow surviving. ❗️The tape then says “[morph_toy_name] was never the real boss. Huggy was just an experiment, Mommy was just a guardian, and PJ was just to stop YOU. I, [hand_name] am not the final boss either. Look around you. What do you see? Environmental disasters, poverty, struggling. None of these matter to him. He awaits you.” THIS RECORDING then finishes off by a picture of the staff team in a warehouse fixing the skeleton hand, which is connected to a big skeleton thing. The team boss then says ‘Welcome, to Poppy Playtime Co.’
I know this is kind of an unsatisfying ending, but it was fun to think of.
Just saying, the hand reminds me of MC Story Mode’s Wither Boss (I forgot the name.)

The size of PJ is likely NOT the main reason he is still alive, but because of the timing and the thought process.
I'm pretty sure PJ Pug-A-Pilar is still alive because MLL was more concerned with finding the player than getting "upset" with PJ. MLL notices player gone, remembers to kill PJ, puts PJ on the roof, and then looks for the player. I don't believe this is what MLL would be thinking to do at the moment and the timing of these events is very awkward.
Even if MLL catches and kills the player, I don't believe she would then kill PJ because she already took out her anger on the player, which is the main reason she killed Bunzo and the Wuggies.

I hear the sounds of their jumpscares more and more in the audio so its kind of identifiable if you hear it much more clearly and the dead bunzo body and the t-posing mini huggies in their dominance

"these are the sounds of them being killed" -unintelligible sounds and garbles- ..........its like of of those people playing records in reverse going "you can hear satan clear as day"......literally with my sound turned all the way up it just sounds like machine humming in the game... i dont hear any sounds of struggles...just sounds like a factory.

There's two theories on why pj is still alive. It's either because mommy was in a rush and panicking when the player manage to escape so she didn't have time to kill pj or she purposely lets pj live since pj didn't fail at killing the player, there's was just conveniently a bar that we can hold on to and escape so technically pj didn't fail, we just "cheated"

Fun fact : if you go back to the Musical Memory's stage after hearing Bunzo get attacked , you can see Bunzo's body just sitting there lifelessly.

The Mini Huggies aren’t actually dead, they’re just asserting their dominance.

1:57 no, they're not in the spider web. Those are toys that represent their death by being in a spider web that mommy created, to prove that those are toys, (at least bunzo bunny) after the first game (where bunzo tries to kill us) go to the vents and activate the sound (mommy.kills.bunzo.mp4) and after the sound is activated go back where you would do the test (the game that bunzo tries to kill us) and u can see bunzo is free of the strings that hold him and has fallen onto the ground, but he is damaged and bleeding. Am I the only one who wants the original huggy to make a comeback and still be alive

I believe that PJ is alive, since it wasn't his fault for the game ending.
The player won the other two games, and Mommy long legs seemed disappointed so she killed Bunzo and the mini huggies.
But in the last game, the player didn't really win OR lose, they cheated, so I think she spared PJ since it wasn't his fault.

It's now clear that we know the living toys like Bunzo, the Mini Huggies, and PJ Pug-A-Pillar or more are children's souls trapped inside, and since Mommy Long-Legs loves children, she still killed Bunzo the bunny and the Mini Huggies because they failed attempting to kill the player even when they were children's souls.
In Mommy Long-Leg's experiment notes of her real name; Marie Payne (That rhymes LOL,) loves and acts really friendly to the children and aggressive towards the employees. Maybe she loves children that really are human, not souls trapped inside some toy!
But HEY-! It's just a theory, a FILM THEORY! XDD

I think PJ is alive because we never truly completed his game. We completed Musical Memory and Whack-A-Wuggy. But not Statues.

What upsets me is the fact that Bunzo and the Mini Huggies were really helpless when it came to fighting her. Bunzo is literally glued to the ceiling, he can barely move and he can't escape her. And the Mini Huggies? They could move, they could try to run, but could they fight? From the close ups of their models you know they were all toothless. They couldn't even bite. And they didn't have claws either. So MLL had all advantages in this. She could move, she could fight. There was no way for them to survive.
The only survivors might be the Mini Huggies that held on long enough for her to calm down at least slightly. After all, we don't see all of them in the webs. Some might have actually hidden for long enough to make it out alive.

Wow, and here i thought mommy was simply moving furiously making her creepy moaning sounds as she moved toward us. Well, she probably would do that too, but i never thought that her intent for murder was seriously maniacal.

When bunzo and the huggies get attacked you can also make out mommy's jumpscare sound, so thats a nice little detail

Hearing those audio bits, there's no way a person would possibly guess that's what happening. It's really only due to the file names that a person can say for sure they're dead

The weird thing about the mini buggy’s is that when they get killed and are on the spider web,(dead) they are in a t-pose thing which I don’t know why, But I guess the developers didn’t had time to make an models for the dead mini huggy’ in the spider webs.

For my theory on what happend to PJ is, that in both Musical Memory as well as Wack-A-Huggy, you get the train code from mommy and then you hear the sounds, but with PJ, she notices you are gone and chases after you and does not kill PJ, because you worked there and she focuses more on you, but because she dies with the grinder, PJ is left alive after Mommy went to chase you down, and we achieve the code when we meet Poppy again and free her

Aww, I had hopes to see Bunzo in the next chapter at least, but it seems it will never happen :( He was too good to be allowed to live...

PJ is probably alive since he didn't fail MML we cheated and went through the window and PJ is actually bigger than Bunzo and the huggys so he would have more of a chance and honestly if PJ did die... Mommy Long Legs probably didn't need to kill PJ, since she rigged the game by pulling all of the rubble down on top of the Statues game course. Because she does this, it forces us to go to the window with the lit up bar. She wouldn't need to kill PJ unless we actually won the cheated game.
In that case, she probably would've ripped PJ in half by stretching him. :(

Honestly, I like this feature because before I knew about this, I honestly felt way too bad for mommy. I still do, but definitely less. It sort of villainizes her even more so that you don't really feel too bad ending her at the end of the chapter.

A he managed to escape into the rubble (you know what happens out of bounds)
Or B he did die but his body was too long and mommy was like: nahh I ain’t webbing this pug up just stay there

I think that because we "cheated", Mommy Long Legs left PJ alone. Or PJ survived her attack? Another mini theory is that PJ is loyal to Mommy, and he just didn't put up a fight, and before death he said that he just wanted to not get strung up in her web, and because he was loyal to her, she did what she was asked to do. Either way, Poppy Playtime fans have lots of imagination and therefore, make lots of theories about it, there's just so much possibility! This really is such an amazing, wonderful and interesting video! He has really reasonable thoughts, and honestly now I know what those two rumbling sounds are whenever i watch a playthrough of it (I don't like playing horror games).

At 2:31 you can hear a very faint sound of the Huggy jumpscare

Well, mommy long legs did say the mini huggies used to have strings to pull them away from the orphans if they got too close, implying the mini huggies and possibly even bunzo tried to kill the orphans and if that is true, they kinda deserved dying.

Whats even scarier is that the dead Huggy Buddies are T-posing.

Yeah I knew about this ever since my first playthrough chapter 2 I've been wondering what those sounds were second playthrough I noticed that they hang from the ceiling also did you notice that they disappear?

I kinda think that the toys in the stations have the similar features that the scientists test the children about. Like mini wuggie's having good reflexes (better than other toys at least) and bunzo having a good memory. So this makes PJ extremely fast when it wants to. Maybe that's how he escaped.

I have a feeling some time in Chapter 3, we will come back across PJ, in some sort of cocoon form, which we will eventually come back to, with the cocoon broken and PJ in some sort of butterfly form. Hopefully someone will read this.

When I played through I did not notice Bunzo and the Huggies getting strung up in the webs. That’s a really cool detail! I wish they could’ve made that just a tad more obvious

I predict that PJ Pug-a-pillar is planned to make a return, except he's going to evolve into a giant butterfly next time we see him.

At 1:29 we can hear the same sound effect we hear when Mommy kills us while playing Hide-and-Seek.

I think PJ survives because Mommy Longlegs is more preoccupied with how we didn't show up at the end of the obstacle course and she becomes to enraged at us to care. I think her plan was for us to die no matter what so when we survive, she forgets about PJ and comes after us instead.

This may explain why Kissy Missy helps us, as she may resent Mommy Long Legs for killing the fellow mascots.

I had just assumed those noises were the Prototype lurking in the background? I think the fact that she kills the other toys & strings up their bodies should've had more attention drawn to it. It would've made her seem less passive in the lead up to the final chase.

Idk if you’ve done this or not but if you go back to where the musical memory game was played right after hearing the sound in the vents you can see bunzo dead on the platform where you played. I’m also not sure if this happens with the mini wuggies or not. And technically mommy cheated on the statues game because the wall at the end wasn’t there to start with. You were never meant to win that game. Mommy cheated first

I mean she did start a chase with the Player when they "won" so she might not have had time to get PJ.

I think PJ is alive as once we leave statues, Mommy is too distraught and angry looking for us that she dosnt have time to be angry at PJ, and of course she hunts us until she meets her demise, meaning PJ is probably still just hanging out in statues.

Not just those things, but if you return to the musical memory after you hear the noise, you will see a dead and bloody bunion bunny in the middle of the stadium. This doesn’t happen with the mini Huggies, but the same happens with PJ pugapillar. If you return to the observation room in the game, you will see a dead PJ pugapillar.

PJ is alive, the reason mommy didn't kill him is that she was too focused on us escaping to go for PJ and searched for us. And at the end Mommy dies so PJ is still alive. Hope we see him in a later chapter again. And i did know this before and tried to show all my discord friends.

I noticed this in a different video, (one by superhorrorbro i believe? i think it's one of his newer ones.) but there's a bloodied PJ right next to a MML poster with most of her arm invisible. I think it's after statues, so maybe it's to indicate that MML killed him.

pj is mostly likely still alive, and we may even see him again later, how ever we know that he’s a “swapable” do he may be smaller than what he was originally. mommy long legs probably didn’t want to fight him anyways as well because of his enormous size currently as well.

When we escaped after playing statues, she exclaimed, "You die, mummy gets to watch."

Mommy just slayed huge bunny with sharp teeth and a swarm of huggies in a few seconds without getting damaged.
This just shows how powerful she is.

I have a theory about pj. So I think he survived and ran into the rocks(digs in rocks I guess) but if he alive then what happens to him? You know calipillers eat leaves to have a cocoon to became or butterfly or moth. Pj is part dog part callipilar sooooo what if pj have metamorphosis? He can turn into a butterpugger, and that means he may return to kill the player in a future chapter even stronger than mommy long legs…..

PJ didn't actually fail, what happened was completely out of his control and not his fault.

i think you are partially wrong my theory is that it's the prototype who destroyed bunzo and the others. As you guys can see the corpse of bunzo is covered in web, we all assumed that mommy was the spider in the chapter but we never saw mommy make webs in the chapter, in the credits of the game it is actually confirmed that the prototype is the big spider and also that in the end of the chapter we see mommy's corpse being dragged by the prototype confirming that the prototype needs the corpse of other toys. Also it would be off character for mommy cuz u know she is supposed to be only hostile toward adults and not other toys( i know it says mommy killed the others but i think the devs did not think the story full while naming the file at that time and did not change the file name as you guys can see the toys hung up are t posing so this was done in a hurry or maybe im wrong)

PJ Pugpillar I think is still alive considering even though he’s a Catapillar he was clearly very vicious and could move fast, mommy longways probably didn’t try to fight him since she would’ve been wrapped up by him like a snake , and we had just escape so like others have said she’s probably trying to attack us instead, not to mention the person who saw him in that one tape said that he was around 50 feet long I don’t think mommy long legs would want to fight some thing that big

Bunzo is actually left in the room, if you go back, that isn't actually the one we see in the music memory room
