So most likely to be stabbed than shot. That doesn't mean gun crime doesn't happen in Australia it definitely does.

When the port Arthur massacre happened they called in for semi automatic and automatic weapons to be turned in, including any weapons you may not need or use. My dad at the time owned a SKS semi auto with well over 3000 rounds from Afghanistan in the early 80s when he went in the navy.

Personally, I have an old Remington 700 that has been handed down over the decades and I can’t imagine shooting anything else. If my boys get the hunting/shooting bug I’d definitely look into getting them a Ruger. Perhaps a CZ for myself and pass down the Remington to them. Tough choices to be made by someone who appreciates a fine rifle 😎
I just realized something, you're left handed. Or at least using a left handed rifle. The last time I've seen a left handed rifle was my great uncle's Winchester in .270
@@mikecox2535 right handed shotguns are where I struggle sometimes, the safety goes the opposite way for us and have to reach under the trigger guard and push it the other way lol
