- One of the more popular mods around for the G8X platform are DRL upgrades - Mostly CSL yellows.
In this episode, Alex takes this mod one step up, and installs RGBW DRLs which will allow him to select any colour, including the original pure white colour, whilst retaining all OEM functionality!

Any idea why my turn signal doesnβt work? Car threw a light malfunction, but the rgbw still work. Is it because of module or the installation?

Looking great! Unfortunately white and yellow are the only front light colors which are allowed in Europe.

My 2022 M4 Brooklyn Grey has Lazer Lights. I like the yellow headlights, however, in California White and Yellow are the only colors allowed in the front. Any other color is a state violation 25950 CVC. Driver is subject to citations or impound of the vehicle.
I'm pretty certain that would be the case for most places in the world, including Australia. The RGB function is designed for off-road use and we do not encourage any other colour, other than white to be your DRL when driving on the roads.

Will this mod affect warranty??
@@purevenom9381 Best check with your dealer. The likelihood of anything going wrong is very slim as it's a very simple mod that doesn't even draw that much power. It's also fused for extra protection.

What's a headlight warranty? Sounds boring.
Can use this mod on a saloon model m3? If no is there a link for the saloon rgb mod version?
This same product is compatible with the Saloon Model M3 as well!
How bright are the colors and how bright are the white ? OEM bright ?
They will be about 75% brightness of the OEM. The reason for this is because the surface area of the RGBW LED is shared between Red, Green, Blue and white to mix different colours. The OEM LED is a dedicated white, and doesn't need to share that footprint with anything else.
I tried to set the app up and itβs not turning lights on. Is there any trick to it? App says itβs βpairedβ but not working

What happens when you turn on the low beam? Does the yellow color turn white?
Turning the low beams on does not change the colour of the DRL's

Looks pretty cool but I'm certain the light modification would be illegal in Germany.
You can switch them to any colour you want (particularly great for carshows and meet-ups), and you switch them back to OEM white for everyday driving
