Talking about food disasters, something similar happened to me.
Like a month ago, I ordered carryout from Chipotle. Itβs was 2 bowls, and they put them in the same bag. I donβt have a car, so I walked 0.8 miles to my apartment. I didnβt even walk halfway, and already the bag ripped and the contents fell on the sidewalk. Luckily, one of the bowls was salvageable (although the lid was open, the food did not touch the ground). I guess the bag ripped because one or both bowls, which contained salsa, were not closed properly. So I brought both bowls back to Chipotle, told them what happened, and they replaced the bowl that was destroyed AND FINALLY gave me a bag with a handle (which feels stronger than the one without). Since then, anytime I order 2 bowls for carryout at Chipotle, I always request a bag with a handle because of past experience.
