Tbh I've watched reaction of a series for people. It's nice watching it together and seeing their reaction or commentary in a scene. The problem is when you literally don't react at all then it's the same as me seeing it alone.

My take on the react meta drama. Twitch is cracking down on copyright, some of it is warranted and others it is not. But we saw this on KRplus many years ago with small react channels that would simply watch the full episode and post it with their commentary. A large majority of those creators left the platform or got copy-write striked off. As much as I like the genre it is clearly not a topic for streaming. Yes watch parties are not as fun but they are legal, reacting to clips is what KRplus has found is cleared for the most part. I do think the content is low effort that doesn’t mean it’s bad, it’s engaging but I don’t think this is a hill worth dying on. Some companies might even recognize the power of streams and those big streamers with big reach could reach out to companies about clearance to watch the first or seconded episode early and live with the streamer. My main point is that react streams with minimal commentary and full un-edited episodes I feel was just asking for this mass banning.

Don't get me wrong: I agree with Pewds that streaming anime is begging for a copyright strike but from my limited experience with Twitch I know that some streamers draw for hours for example and in my opinion that is work.I actually think Poki is talented and put in hours to get where she is now- I saw some instances where she knows her stuff - I don't watch her streams much but if she's mainly only reacting to stuff that's lazy to me vs the reactors on KRplus that work really hard to edit their videos and avoid the cursed copyright claim.

God sitting down and watching a movie, takes so much skill definitely not lazy when there’s a million other things they could do to entertain there viewers atleast game streamers have to actively engage in an activity
I'm kind of 50/50 on the whole "streamers are lazy" thing.
They're paid to entertain, but a lot of them put very little effort into it and are still big. If I watch twitch I'll watch people who normally only play one game because they put passion into playing it, and they're super entertaining because of that.
Variety streamers, at least to me, aren't usually nearly as talented, there's a few exceptions, e.g Ludwig and PaymoneyWubby.
It's a bad way to sum up all streamers but, it's not completely false either.

React streamers are good if they add something while reacting, like mizkif as much as I want to not give him credit, his music react streams are one of the best react content out there. The subtle jokes, the bs fake stories and overall vibes are unmatched. But poki on the other hand just watches the content with faint reaction every 5 minutes which is very boring but her tier 3 subs will watch anything she does. And the juicer XQC is also a mid tier react streamer because he can be funny sometimes but is very inconsistent.
Lazy or not it is going to cause an adpocolypse on twitch that hurts everyone who aren’t the people causing the problems. Streamers like polo get a slap on the wrist. The companies sue. Then suddenly up and coming streamers show 10 seconds of a movie and get perma banned or demonetized. These streamers know this and could not care less. Similar to large corporations who don’t care about anything unless it affects there bottom line.
