Here's what I found out when I worked at Walmart and it might be a similar situation to what these big corporations are doing Walmart if they catch you stealing say a dollar candy bar they won't stop you for it they will record you again and again for each item you steal until it gets up to a proper criminal offense so you can be tried and sentenced to jail time and or get a felony over just a fun fact. So they might be letting these streamers play many episodes of their series and then once they get to a certain point they're going to absolutely slap them with a massive fine and a lawsuit
@@bendynamic2150 yeah that makes complete sense, especially since they can go directly after the money of Twitch/KRplus in the European Union since mid 2021. Build a nice girthy case and then get the millions in fines. Content creators don't have enaugh money to pay them out anyway, might aswell wait for enaugh to go after the Platforms.

I think most people are okay with every once in a great while to watch a part of a episode. Or a whole episode live as long as you are adding to it enough.

Here's a small excerpt from a legal analysis of the laws "uses that advance public interests, such as education or scholarship, tend to be deemed as "fair use," especially if only small portions of the original work were copied or if appropriate attribution has been given to the original author or artist. However, uses that generate income for others or interfere with the copyright owner's income generally are not considered "fair use." That's only one part of the law and as you can see he's already breaking the law since he's generating income by just playing a full show and talking every once in a while. That's not covered under fair use. Also, the work needs to be transformative. Playing a full show and barely talking while watching it is 100% not fair use. Maybe he'd be covered if he's talking about the show and doing things like analyzing characters and pausing it to explain them to his audience in-depth. But as far as I have seen from his streams that is not even remotely close to what he does.
Also this is just meant to be informative. I'm not intending to come at you for just misunderstanding the law. Have a good one ✌️
