KRplusr Harlow Brooks, 18, who went to high school with Lori Loughlin's daughter Olivia Jade at Marymount High School, posted a video to her channel detailing how she was shocked to learn her classmate was admitted to USC. “I was like, 'Wow that's kind of crazy, because USC is kind of very, extremely hard to get into,'" she says in the video. #InsideEdition

She seems like a level headed girl but I'm sorry it doesn't seem newsworthy to bring her out. Her video was enough of a set piece and she doesn't have a lot of information and it's just hearsay. She didn't stay at the school very long so I feel it's just someone outside looking in, not knowing 100% the stealthy or deceitful practices. I hope this sets off her acting career, though. I worked my ass off to get into one of the top private universities in Texas. I did it all on my own. Applications, ACT/SAT, making myself known among administrators when I visited the school.
I am in about $20,000 of debt as a 22 year old, and will have more when I graduate. I go to class and still party. It’s not hard.
I am beyond disgusted by this scandal considering the fact I pay for majority of my tuition myself and work 3 jobs to keep up with bills as a full time student.
Money can’t buy everything, except federal prison. I guess.
I have my kid enrolled in a private school and trust me I’ve heard some parents there who obviously have money discuss with other parents about certain “tutors” to help their 8th grade kids get into prestigious high schools bc it ain’t just universities lol I went to a private school and a public high school and I definitely noticed the difference in my surroundings of people and the work. Even as a parent having my kid go from a public pre-k school to a private school I noticed the difference the first day, I was like “oh gawd I don’t belong here 😂”

Idk but like Harlow made a follow up video after her first one about her experience which stated that the Marymount girls basically showed up at her driveway and conspired to do it as a group on Instagram. They also apparently tried to threaten to sue her into taking the video down

it is incredibly easy to get vibes from a school after just one week. i was able to tell what school would be like when i toured (it was a boarding) for just one day. harlow purposefully did not mention the name, so i don’t understand what the issue is here?

I’ve been to both public and private schools and there is nothing that girl is saying is false. I’ve experienced that too. I had no friends. Everyone was in competition with each other whether that be whose parents had more money, cars, boys, or drugs. It’s just the nature of it all. If you didn’t participate, you were exiled. I’m sure that was on a much larger scale at a rich people private school.
