I've been here, and the sandwiches are amazing, everyone, after they get their order, just sit around on the street and talk with other travelers. Definitely one of the best experiences I've ever had in Italy

Sur Doze even before covid, i'm from florence and they started enforcing it about 1 year ago i think. if you go far enough and find a spot to sit at it's fine, an actual bench would be better to find tho

Maddy Lestrange Apparently the shops on that part of the street (like the pharmacy right in front) were tired of people sitting on their doorstep and making it difficult for their customers to get in or get out, it's understandable, but enforcing it with fines is maybe a bit too much.
That all looks amazing. If I lived near this place I’d probably go broke.

We had one in Florence about a week ago. Man, best sandwich I ever had, honestly. But don't eat to much for breakfast, eating one of these is quite literally a HUGE undertaking. Forza Italia and greetings from Belgium!

I'm a New Yorker and i've had my share of sandwiches throughout my day...I can confirm this place is the real deal. The bread was so simple but so unique compared to what I was used to at the time. The thing they didn't mention is that there's a wine bar in the back where they're interviewing the owner. You can drink a bunch of house wines and serve yourself. They charge based on the honor system and each cup was about $2-$3 USD.
Really awesome spot in Florence.

A few years ago, I first saw this video, thinking to myself that I would go there one day and try that sandwich… here I am. And I have to say, both the taste, and the queue line, are as spectacular as they say. 100/10, would come again, and again, and again.
I wanna go back! This was the best sandwich of my life. The service, the smell, the taste, the price! I could eat this every day

@@aransin167 they're constantly increasing it, it used to be €5 but now some sandwiches go up to €9. I'm never eating there ever again. As a local I recommend the "I' Ritrovino di via dei Servi" instead, sandwiches are a fair price, and just as good. Maybe even better.

Had the privilege of visiting this place multiple times when i was there. No idea it was this renowned but it is definitely the best sandwhich I've ever had
Had one of these sandwiches when I visited Italy back in 2018 and I STILL think about it. If you're ever in Florence, make it a point to visit. You won't regret it!
There are so many places like this in Italy, they just have to be discovered...
Yup, in any single city in Italy there is something on this level, is a good move on them to make this video.

I studied abroad in Florence for a semester and this was just like a 15 minute walk from my school. It is literally the best sandwich I have ever had, I can’t watch this video because I’ll be so sad I’m not eating one. You don’t even have to know what to ask just tell them to make you a sandwich!!! Miss this so much!!!
I lived around the corner from this place. And it's crazycrazy amazing. Most delicious sandwiches i"ve ever tasted without hesitation. Worth the plane ticket.

Nah, PBJ and turkey ham on mayo, both better options than possible salmonella on your sammy. No stomachaches. Easy to make too.

Fast forward to present day and All’Antico Vinaio has inaugurated its opening in NYC a few days ago. Don’t know if it’s fully comparable to the original one in Firenze, but there was quite a huge queue from the get-go! A little piece of Tuscan cuisine in the US, for Americans to taste. Couldn’t be any happier about this! 🇮🇹
The New Yorker reviewed the store some weeks ago. Really loved it!
My fiancé and I went to the one in NYC. It’s amazing. I’ve never been to Florence, but she has and she said it was nearly as good as the one she had there.

I have eaten sandwiches in three different continents, about 10 countries and 50 cities. This sandwich is the one in my bucket list now. Italy is probably the best country in the world from a culinary standpoint.
Italy's culinary is overrated af. Visit Asian places once, the experience will be redefined for you. India, Pak, Afghanistan, etc best food you can have after probably Korea. Probably.

It is also very varied, you have probably never tried real Italian food, or possibly you have only tried pizza or pasta in America, which is not even real Italian food.
Also when you say “Asian food” what do you mean? Because Asia is a very large continent, where many cultures do not have in common with others that are very different, such as the culture of the Middle East with the Chinese or Thai culture.

I didn't know this was such a famous place but my friend and I went after seeing the queue and wondering what the buzz was about. The sandwiches were delicious, beautiful fresh ingredients, the very best. Generous portions and great value. The service was really friendly and fast. We had some wine in there too, as it was a bit cold outside. They also had this beautiful old Florentine paper - I think on some boxes - behind the counter, with a brown fleur de lis pattern on it. it's a classic Florentine design. It was a paper I had never managed to track down in London but had been looking to buy before I went to Florence. And the boxes had my name on it! It was a bit surreal. Anyway, I'll always remember my visit.
From India and I can say that these were some of the best sandwiches I have ever had. One of the few places that lives up to the hype, you simply can't miss!

they just opened a shop near port authority in NYC! Le Favolosa was INCREDIBLE. The line was insanely long, but it moves quick! definitely worth the wait. this was hands down one of the best sandwhiches I have ever had in my life!

I was there in June 2019 a local seller recommended this place. The line was long but I had the lampredotto it was so good and the bread was so fresh nothing like it! I would like to go back to try the Florentine steak some other time but this sandwich shop is a must when you visit Florence😘

I've been to this place. It's simply fantastic. The sandwiches are incredible and oversized. You can even order a beer and eat on the curb. A must go place if you're visiting Firenze.

I was here in March of 2019. As a fellow study abroad student in Florence this was our go to spot! It was so cheap and affordable on a budget. It filled us up and having free wine was legendary. So worth it! Glad they made a video about it

There's certain cultures that when you order food they really give you food that can sustain you the whole day by volume. I love that huge sandwich, very unpretentious and yet has very high quality ingredients. The bread reminds me of an Afghan bread but raised more thicker.
Tried this place when I studied abroad in 2019! I come back to this video every now and then and pretend im still there lol. The sandwiches were bomb.
This place is incredible, I can confirm. My go to is the Inferno! The Summer is also fantastic!! Going back to Florence in December (3rd time), this will probably be the first place I go!
