Same here. I had no idea what the heck it was.
Might be good to put near a water heater in a basement. Early warning in case it fails.

I thought it was gonna be a hand buzzer toy, lol!
Probably meant to be a flood warning for dishwashers or similar. Just make sure the blades is on the downside when you place it. The real inventor in the video is whever came up with the hot glue gun ๐

Awesome stuff ๐... just please change the background music...seems everyone is using these horrible sounds
Loved watching these. Although the vac seemed like a heck of a lot of work for something that would pick up tiny scraps of paper
until you add a bowl and reconfigure the hose and hole placement.

Better water-leak detector? Take an ordinary clothes pin (one with the spring) and glue contacts to ether side so that when they close, they close the connection to a buzzer. Then squeeze it open and put an aspirin in it to hold the contacts apart. Lay it when you expect a leak. If water leaks. the aspirin dissolves and the two sides make contact.
Brilliant, and no transistor required.
I waited this long and it turned out to be a vacuum cleaner. Rats.

He could have easily made it a cooling fan by adding a few cubes of ice on that mesh and set the fan the opposite way around...

it senses liquid. You would use it when you want to be alerted of a leak, like at the bottom of your freezer or under a sink? Or turn it upside down to beep when your dehumidifier is full. Or outside if you want to know when the rain starts to bring your lawn furniture in. (The round plastic lid can be replaced with anything non-conductive that is the right size/shape to catch water where you want. ) Or ya, stuff it in your baby's diaper๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
