In this vlog, I've filmed our annual yearly project THE KIMCHI MAKING DAY vlog!!
This Kimchi will be our "Kimchi supply" until next year so it's super important to make this good and guess what? Yes, it turned out AMAZING!!
Besides Kimchi recipe, I've also filmed how I make Suyuk (can be called Bossam) which is simmered pork, served with freshly made Kimchi, the replica of OH SO FAMOUS Myungdong Gyoza Kalguksu and last but not least, pumpkin bread recipe!

I'd like to clarify about mentioning "Afro Ken" plush doll to the Napa cabbage. Afro Ken is the name of a Japanese character created by the company "San-X" and quite familiar with it's cute friendly image to many Asians. I was simply saying it'll look like a plush doll if sprinkle the salt in every layer of the cabbage. I'd like to apologize if this made you feel offended but I'd like to assure that was completely not what I have intended. I would never ever do any sort of racism neither in my video nor in my entire life. I've been in many situation as an Asian living in Canada for almost half of my life and I know how horrible it is to be discriminated in any forms. As this video has been recommended by many viewers for the past few weeks, I have just recognized this would be a sensitive issue to someone whether the one is familiar with the character or not. I've learned my lesson and will be more careful when mentioning or comparing something. I hope this doesn't discourage your day by any chance.

Right, each family has a slightly different Kimchi recipe, family traditional recipes are so precious. Your face when you tried the vegan yogurt. Aw, I can't have dairy and so I usually have that kind. Riviera brand is pretty nice. I like their oat milk ones and I've found fruit ones by Chobani in Metro in Canada that are quite good (but the cane sugar sometimes makes it taste ...odd? Good luck!

This was very fascinating. I enjoyed watching and have subbed. I cannot say that I would make kimchi, but the shrimp fried rice and soup, I definitely will. You also gave me a great idea. I have a big bag of garlic chives that I don't want to waste. I m going to cut then up and freeze them as you did. Brilliant!

I am so jealous!!!! Freshly made kimchi!!! I was born in Busan, S. Korea and my parents raised me to have so much respect and love for Korean cuisine. It is always so fresh and flavorful. I need to learn how to make kimchi at home. The store bought stuff never tastes right. And now I am vegan, I have to learn ways to make my favorite Korean dishes vegan... Like Bulgogi....

I’m not vegan but don’t eat a lot of other meats, just basic due to stomach problems. seafood is a no go always makes me sick. So can never find it with out fish or shrimp 🤦‍♀️. I grew up in the states and eat all types of food. Friends mom use to make it all the time and every-time got sick till we found out it was seafood. Still ate it. It was just to good not too. Hope you find your recipe that reminds you of growing up. Good luck.
