9 years later and this is still one of the best songs ever made
One of my favorite songs ever. The OutKast sample is imprinted into my DNA at this point. Makes me think of the summer my mother was in the hospital and I stayed in brooklyn with my sister. I listened to Born Sinner, Yeezus, Wolf and Magna Carta Holy Grail. I was 15 and also had my first summer job. Such a pivotal time in my life, all that music will die with me ❤️❤️
bless you dude
hope life is treating you well brother that’s a beautiful story
Man, Born Sinner was so underrated
BlackClass180
IS so underrated my friend.
I love Cole and all his mix tapes and albums, and people sleep on born sinner hard. Probably my favorite after Friday night lights
agreed!!!!
it was only underrated cause it was his first album
+willard chancy actually....the sideline story was his first album.....born sinner was his sophomore album.
J cole will be a legend
Isaiah Moore hey man 5 years later... you were right
you were so right man
Damn you could've said: J cole will be the Greatest ever
You were right
Fasho
This is my favourite J.Cole track! "Oh baby don't start!"
*Start
tehShif7 Lmaoo, the way you did that was masterful.
+Jay fuck yeah
Sameeeee
yeah its a timeless classic i love it too
Born Sinner is one of the best albums of 2013. His album flows like no other album out there. One of the best storytellers.
And people were thinking Kanye was gonna dominate😅😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🗑 🗑
@@lakersrdbest Hey hey Yeezus was also a good album don’t hate
@@lostkidzfaded denial is one hell of a....
@@lakersrdbest i didnt say it was better than born sinner
Facts ....The "Its way darker this time ..." hits different every time. Born Sinner deserved a grammy nod and the win.
Now, this is a concert id go to. Rappers these days just talk about nothing but money bit**** and nothing make sense. J cole is one of the realest. He is so inspirational to me. Respect.
Listen every artist on TEAMBACKPACK and every on the Strange Music album; fuck, listen to Twisted Insane, Immortal Technique, CF, Jeff Turner, Kutt Kalhaun, Hasan Salaam, Krs One, Rakim, A_F_R_O, Wu Tang, RA the rugged man, Locksmith - J.Cole's shit compared to these fuckers.
Ta na mente
ZePPLin Those rappers on totally different brackets though... cmon now..
You are referring to concious rappers, and there are plenty of them. You just have to look a lot harder than you would for the mainstream artists.
Sir Spen exactly... And im completely aware of who these rappers in the part of hip hop but to have this convo on every mainstream rappers video is ridiculous. Especially if he is actually a really good rapper, cole and kendrick used to be and still are concious rapper especially back when they were coming up and still some what "unknown" cole as the hypnotist. And kendrick as k-dot... Stil. Are. Those rappers... But they have become there "hip-hop" alter egos in the eye of main stream rap music
OutKast - Da Art of Storytellin'
Part 1 ;)
Just realized how the Youngins never knew!!!! The separation of the old and new school!!! Outkast came 1st!!!
@@marcusbishop6124always known❤
In my opinion born sinner is a classic! Till this day I still bump to it and it feels like the first time I heard.
armando Campos me listening to this in 2020

Cole and kendrick leading the new school believe that!!
Brickfair Bittah YES
This set is legendary.. Way to deliver J Cole. Not too many artist can put on a live intimate show because most of them DO NOT have any content to carry on a live show. You sir, have content. Keep doing your thang homie
funny but check outkast's da art of story tellin sounds pretty similar to land of the snakes
@@MuneemIslam "this the shit i used to roll down Lewis St. w/"
does this line have no meaning to you? it's called homage foo
Somethin bout this song got me bumpin it to this day
The music u like should be timeless
All of coles music is timeless man.
The beat is "Da Art of Storytellin' Pt.1" by Outkast. Check it out! it's a damn great song, Cole does it justice
Sh1bble J. Cole only more strings and his version is a bit faster
to this day
Favorite j cole song. He did that outlast beat justice!!!
outkast*
Yup i love this song its incredible
best rapper when it comes to live performances
Damn, I'd kill to be there
This song has a certain feel to it . Can’t explain it but it sounds like a song you play on a holiday
"Riding though south side queens like fiddy" Ha Idk but thats my favorite line lol
Da art of storytelling is such a banger
Lyrics and beat wise, no wonder why a musician like J. Cole chooses a beat like that
Definitely the best song on Born Sinner! The whole album's amazing though!!!
OutKast - Da Art of Storytellin' wow finally someone I can actually say did good on this beat. This song is 13 years old and finally someone that can actually make this song ill like Outkast did great job J Cole (Born Sinner) was a legendary album
Thanks I always wanted to know what the sample for this was
He kept it all the way real though about the worldstar shit
He's such an amazing artist he raps with such passion and heart! I'm lucky I've had the chance to see him live
I love this song, good vibes
This is his most underrated songs
Gotta love letterman for supporting rappers and Joel is the shittttt
I love his energy in this live set!!! Makes you realize there are still great performers out there.
Its absurd how this video has less than 500k after 5 years. The song itself is one of the best from the album and this performance was amazing. Dope beat with live instruments!
2021 - This album and this track slap til this day 🙏🏿
My favorite song on the album! !!!!!!
You not going to find many live performances like this these days
Best song on the album
UKR! The first line made it so.lol
That's debatable. You still have to go through Let Nas Down, Forbidden Fruit, Crooked Smile, & Power Trip. If it's your favorite one off the album I feel you, it's my favorite too but those 4 that I mentioned are def. the songs that are neck to neck with Land Of The Snakes for best song from the album.
@@AceSolomon94 runaway and born sinner over all of those
the disrespect from the audience man... smh
They warmed up.
Ong
They get muted in live recordings. It does sound really empty tho lmao
J. Cole concerts would be hype
The beat is so amazing. :)

J. Cole will never be a legend in this world, not because he ain't legendary, but rather because he truly chooses to never sell his soul! Heaven has his back tho 100!
