(Pls like so they will see this)
Instead of making loud sounds at them, speak with a low, dominant tone, but not aggressive. In dog language this is a show of dominance and is seen as an order rather than you making them uncomfortable. When they poop inside bring them to wear they did it and point as you say “no” in that same tone. Pick up the poop and put it wherever you want them to do it and show them, that this is where your poop should be. Say “here” in a more reassuring tone and not dominance as you want them to know that this is the right answer. Every time the pay poop in the wrong spot repeat this process. When they poop in the right spot make sure to reward with a treat and praise them a lot. As for getting up on the tables use the same town with a simple “down” in the same dominant tone. If this doesn’t work add a bit of a growl to the tone and they will usually comply. Make sure to praise whenever they give the correct response to the order to show that you are not being aggressive but giving them an order. If you don’t praise when they get things right they will only be scared of you and you won’t be able to have a relationship. You don’t want a relationship based on fear. When it comes to diets straight minced meat or grain free dog food is the best options, as a treat you could mix in a cooked egg or peas. I would also recommend a kibble food in the morning, supplying energy for the day and mince or dog food for the evening which will usually give them a melatonin boost so they calm down at night. With the separation anxiety get them a boredom buster toy to keep them occupied. For better results with this you could put in some work and do some training with them. Never make a big fuss of them before you leave, a simple good bye tells them that you’ll be back later with a simple pat, no hugs and kisses or to much affection. Walk out the door and come back in after a minute, then again after two, then five. Keep extending the time you are gone by five minutes up to a couple hours and in no time it will hardly phase them. I believe you said they where Australian Shepard’s? Australian Shepard’s are breed to herd sheep. Which means they have A LOT of energy. They will need to be walked for a
AT LEAST half an hour a day, but personally I would recommend an hour. Make sure they are always occupied by toys otherwise they will get bored and destroy the place as they are high energy dogs. Also I would recommend taking them to a vet as soon as possible to get vaccinations, spading and find out more about your breed as you may not have done much research. I would also recommend asking your vets about how much to feed their specific breed. I’m so sick of seeing dogs that are overweight, it makes me very upset.
    Main rules:
    1. Use a deep tone to order your dogs however don’t yell or be aggressive
    2. NEVER hit your dog, it will only establish fear.
    3. Consult and stay in close contact with your vet.
    4. NEVER feed anything with in it grain to your dogs.
    5. Don’t make a fuss of them when you leave
    6. Keep them occupied at all times, wether it’s with toys, playing or walks. (Chew toys and puzzle toys are particularly good, aswell as bones- not cooked )
    7. Make sure to love them and cherish them a lot.
    8. Build a healthy relationship based of trust and order not fear.
    9. If you don’t love them and give them lots of affection they will only see you as their Alfa not their friend.
    10. NEVER get a trainer, they just don’t work,as the dog is learning that the trainer is the boss not you. (May also be the reason they said they were potty trained but pooped in the wrong spot)
I really hope you take all of this in and listen to your vets, they definitely know best when it comes to their physical health. If you have any questions you can contact me on Instagram at @ dior.i.think._.priv and I’ll be happy to help! Remember to love your dogs y’all!!!

I have one comment about if they poop in the wrong place. Because dogs don't have as good of a memory as we do, so if you take them to the place where they pooped and show them the poop for a long time after they actually pooped they will be confused because they don't remember doing anything. The only reason that they will look guilty is because you're looking at them and speaking dominantly to them. So they will be like "what did i do?" If they keep on peeing and pooing in the house, make sure to clean it up very well, because the smallest scent of their pee and poo stimulates them to do it their again. So if your dogs do something you don't like you have to "punish" them in the act, because otherwise they won't remember it. And for food you shouldn't spoil them too much mostly just normal dog food, but you could give them a little of your food after you've eaten once or twice a week, because ofcourse it's boring for them to eat everything 2 times a day.

Yael ten Napel thanks for the input I’m talking about when You see them do it or when you find it when you’ve been in the house. Not over a couple of hours of being out of the house. And again this is just what has worked for me and all my dogs.i also agree with the food. But personally it’s not so much about spoiling them but what they are best of to be eating to meet all of their dietary needs. Thanks again for the input!

Laura Rowell training is the main thing and socialization can be ever more important. But I’m sure they will take them lots of places and socialize them with other dogs and people. Socialization is even more important to a dogs well being than training. Lack of socialization is what causes dogs to become aggressive towards strangers.

House braking the dogs is best done by being pro active about taking them out before the time that they need to be out. Carry a small sandwich bag of kibble and reward them for going in the correct places. They will figure it out in a short while (few weeks). As they get older, most dogs will "hold it" for a while but it's your job to avoid that situation. Our older dogs are never expected to be alone indoors for more than 4 hours, although during the night, they usually make it 6 - 7 hours. Don't forget that trip to Dollar General....Foaming Carpet Cleaner....Aerosol Can....Red Cap....TRUST ME! Also, fresh drinking water....constantly!

When training the dogs to do anything, try to refrain from yelling at them. That'll only scare them and it's reminiscent of say a king ruling a town by fear. It's best to speak in a clear, calm tone and make an agreement on how your going to teach them otherwise they may grow confused. Because say one person points at the ground and says 'lay down' to get them to lay down but another person just says 'down'. It can lead to the animal growing confused by about the command and Then they just won't do it.
Those are the only tips I have rn ^^

Negative things means hitting and intese stuff like that. But a "yelling" or raising your voice and making them know that they did something wrong is necessary. Praise them when they've done something good and making them see they've done soemthing wrong by pointing at the thing and most importantly AT THE MOMENT THEY DID THE BAD THING. Cause for example if they peed and you found out a while later and you start yelling at them, they won't know that they did wrong. If you take them to the place they peed and you start pointing at it and saying "no" or stuff like that AND then taking them where they SHOULD pee, is a good thing . Punishing your dog isn't wrong, but punishing doesn't mean hitting them or leaving them tied to a tree or outside on the night. That's just being mean and cruel. They learn at the moment and when you show them exactly what they've done wrong, no need to be aggressive when teaching them but also not being too permissive.

Dog parent tip!: whenever you are gone keep the tv on or play music or something don't let the apartment be completely silent when you are gone. My parents have a dog that has really bad separation anxiety and having some kind of noise really helps. They are like humans in relation to silence. When you are laying down to go to bed or take a nap or just to relax and you hear a random sound that freaks you out, its the same feeling dogs get. Having the TV on or music helps eliminate that feeling because those random sounds arent as obvious.

I got a puppy in October and he’s 6 months old now. The best thing to get is a play pin it’s great when you can’t watch them and you will know they will be safe from chewing on stuff they aren’t supposed to. Also get them socialized as soon as possible. Getting them around people and other dogs and cars when they are young is one of the most important things.

I am and have been in the process of getting this one job that I really want for a few months now and it's really discouraging. I do want to spend most of my time with my boyfriend or with my friends. And I'm not going to lie...I do spend a lot of time watching Netflix or KRplus. I need some motivation in my life.

ive had puppies and dogs all of my life so heres some tips
1.when u go somewhere leave them in a closed-off area with puppy pads until their potty trained (so they dont poop and pee all over)
2.when u get back from somewhere bring them out immediately
3.this is obvious but make sure you feed them the right amount of food and the right type of food ( they might get sick or have to poop a lot)
4.this is also obvious but look in their water bowl or bowls after their done eating and throughout the day to see if they have clean water (food or drool can get in the water and that's gross)
    5.LOTS OF LOVE AND ATTENTION
    6. this might not count I guess for u guys but when they get older one may want to establish dominant over one another and might fight

just a tip: yelling at them for going to the bathroom inside has almost no meaning to them after they’ve already done it and some time has passed... unless you literally catch them in the act, they usually have no clue why they’re being yelled at! it’s better to use positive reinforcement, for example, give them a treat and TONS of praise as soon as they go to the bathroom outside (even though they may already be potty trained for the most part)... and make sure it is right after they go, not once you come inside, you should take treats out with you! it all takes time but it seems like you’re doing great so far :) it’s tough being a puppy parent but it all gets better!

  • @lilywhite-charles1853

    my new dog tips are:
    1) If you want them to "Sit" then lean forward with them looking at you and they should sit out of habit
    2) Be sure to give lots of attention and treats to your dogs the first couple months. I have had good experience with the 3 calorie training treats " Charlie Bears"
    3) The first couple of months don;t let them sit at the top of the stairs it creates a habit of them thinking that they're the king/queen
those were my tips I hope they were useful.

  • @quietriot9910
    @quietriot9910 4 년 전 +17

few tips: when you leave, put some old clothing out, like from the laundry, so they still feel like you are there because your smell is there. also, punishing the dog after the fact is kind of a waste. their attention span doesnt go that far so she probably wasnt entirely sure what she was being yelled at for. she seemed to cower simply because you gasped and then went right for her. also, while they are still under a year, take training treats with you when you take them outside and reward them every time they go to the bathroom. positive reinforcement is better than punishment. also, i used to have a crate called the "puppy apartment". it is a cage but its separated by a divider IN CASE they needed to use the bathroom, they still can even while crated. its a bed and bathroom crate modernpuppies.com/ AND lastly, get them "busy" toys, like thinking toys. the brand kong makes good ones.

Hey Jack and Gab, congrats on your new babies! I’m a vet nurse in Australia and have a couple of tips for you to help settle them in. Firstly if they are timid make sure that you get them used to other people and try to get them socialising with some nice natured dogs that aren’t too in their face, you can end up with big problems later in life if they haven’t been socialised enough. My other tip would be to help keep them calm when you are out try and get yourself some Adaptil (it is a special calming pheromone spray that does wonders in calming them in new situations or when they are stressed like being left alone). Can’t wait to see more of their cute faces in your videos!

i have a dog and to train her we put her in a traning program that costs around $756 and it was a life saver but i asume you dont wanna do that so if you wanna train them to sit, lay, stay and stuff like that you have to show them what it means while you say the command that you want them to follow to do that thing, now if they are bothering you, put a folded blanket on the ground in a corner and have them sit on it and have them stay there by having one of you sit near them to make sure they stay there and when your putting them there say the word "place", have them stay there and then release them by saying the word "free" while squating so they come while knowing that the command "free" means to them that they are released from the place, which place is what you would call the folded blanket on the floor.

  • @cristhian6027

    *TIPS*
1.) You will need many, and I mean MANY treats. They are essential when taking care of dogs. They are a good way to allow them to know what is good behavior. They are also needed when training.
2.) You need toys to not only keep them entertained, but also to help keep them away from stuff they aren't allowed to chew on. But since you do have two dogs you dont need many toys.
3.) Walking your dogs is also important to keep them from getting fat and from having health problems. Getting your dogs out also allow them to get used to other people
4.) Also I dont want to tell you guys what to feed them or not, but try and keep away from TOO much people food. If you want to mix their food with something there are many brands of food such as Pedigree who sell like wet food that you can mix with their dry food. But you can give them some people food as I know its hard to resist feeding them. BUT RESEARCH WHAT THEY CAN AND CANT EAT.
For now that's all I can remember. LOVE YOU GUYS!

Hey Jack and Gab this is for y’all about the dogs. PROVIDE A PROTECTED AND CLEAN LIVING ENVIRONMENT FOR YOUR DOG. Shelter from the elements and hazards, as well as good hygiene, are basic to a quality life.
ALWAYS KEEP FRESH WATER AVAILABLE. Maintaining optimal hydration is important for health and energy.
FEED A QUALITY DIET AND PREVENT OBESITY. Overweight humans and animals can adversely affect health in many ways. Follow the dietary recommendations that your veterinarian will make according to the nutritional needs of your dog, based on size, age, level of activity and breed. Remember to provide healthy treats rather than table scraps, as rewards.
HAVE YOUR PET EXAMINED BY A VETERINARIAN ON A REGULAR BASIS. Your veterinarian will provide you with the information on vaccination schedules, deworming and external parasite control. Keep a copy of your pet’s vaccination records in your home or with you when you travel. Contact your veterinarian if you believe that your pet may be ill, injured, or if something just doesn’t seem right. Your veterinarian is the expert on keeping your dog healthy. Work as a team with him or her.
PROVIDE AMPLE OPPORTUNITIES TO EXERCISE. Make sure your dog gets the regular exercise needed to enable it to be fit. By being in shape, your dog will be more capable of participating in the activities that it enjoys.
COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR DOG AND DEVELOP A RELATIONSHIP. Dogs are social creatures and they need to interact with their owner. Quality time will help you get to know your dog and understand particular needs that it might have, as well enhance your ability to recognize early signs of an illness that could be developing. In addition, time spent in developing a relationship will help prevent many undesirable behavioral patterns.
TRAIN YOUR DOG TO FOLLOW THE SIMPLE COMMANDS. Puppy and dog training classes can be very helpful. The better your dog is at following basic and necessary commands, the greater the chances are that your dog will live a safe and long life.
PRACTICE REPRODUCTIVE CONTROL. If you do not intend to create puppies, spaying or neutering is a certain option. If you plan to breed your dog or are opposed to spaying and neutering for other reasons, take appropriate measures to prevent mismatings. Consult with your veterinarian in regard to other options that are available.
DENTAL CARE IS VERY IMPORTANT. Many breeds are prone to gum disease, which can have serious implications. Infection resulting from this condition leads to premature tooth loss, and can commonly cause infections in major organs, including the heart valves.
DON’T OVERLOOK GROOMING AND NAIL TRIMMING. Long coated dogs are prone to developing matts and ice balls in their hair. Overgrown nails are common in elderly dogs and can make it more difficult for them to walk. In addition, such nails are much more prone to breaking, which can be quite painful.
