When she started talking about how we need more characters with disabilities as the sole purpose of the character shouldn’t be their disability... the first character I thought of was Toph from Avatar. She really taught me that a disability doesn’t change who the person is. And Molly kinda reminds me of Toph. Both of them also make hilarious blind jokes.I love you Molly and I wish all the best to you.

Omg it's sad how the parents knew that when she was four she would go blind at the age of 14 because there was a 10-year time gap (idk what to call it) and they had 10 years that they spent helping her learn things by her other senses

I don't think they knew the age she would lose the majority of her vision. Molly has always had low vision. It isn't like she was fully sighted one day and then went blind overnight. She was always vision impaired. It just got worse at 14.

I was obsessed with atla as a kid and wanted to be like toph, so my parents would change around items in the house. I would go around the house stomping my feet and hitting my hands on tables and stuff and eventually figured out roughly how to figure out some things about a room from doing that and it makes me feel sometimes when i do that stuff with my friends like i have a superpower. Its really cool if u take the time to learn it

The thought of her getting bullied for her blindness is sickening to me. It’s so difficult to comprehend how people can be so rude. Also, I can’t even imagine what she goes through. She said she couldn’t even remember what she looked like. Her strength is so inspiring.

It's probably because you're around a true person who is not judging you on your appearance alone, because she can't see it. It's easy to relax when people like you for who you are, not what you look like.
My son lost his vision at 2 and he is 8 now and he tells me what I look like he remembers my looks and he knows when I'm in the room even if I don't speak

The one thing that I really loved about this video is where James’s attention was at. I noticed that instead of how he usually faces the camera when collaborating with someone, he was facing Molly literally the entire time. Even though she obviously had no sight, he had a general conversation with her and was curious about her disability. He was so engrossed! I don’t know I just loved seeing that.

I help out a blind person, she has no eyes and no optic nerve so she is completely blind and she has her whole house mapped out. She will say to me, do you see that white bottle with the red lid and black writing beside the fireplace and about 3 feet from the grey chair? I was always so afraid of losing my eyesight, and to some extent I still am. I’m such a visual person I honestly didn’t know how I could enjoy life without it, but seeing people like Molly live their lives and function so well makes me much less afraid of the possibility. If she can live her life to the fullest I’m sure I could too, with or without my eyesight.

For those calling her out for not actually being blind: The way her eyes quiver when she’s looking at the camera is her retina’s unable to focus. Which happens within blind people. Boom. She’s blind, leave her be.

SubNovva Molly has Retinitis Pigmentosa and Cataracts and that's the eye condition I have.
While some sighted people's eyes quiver, she is DEFINITELY blind and if someone needs proof I would simply direct them to her video where she shows how she uses technology. The screen is black the whole time and she so effortlessly navigates through it from having so many years of practice. There is obviously more proof but no sighted person would be that good at that lol
It makes me so angry when people accuse her of faking being blind!! I went to junior high school with a blind kid, he had a cane, but he always looked at people when he spoke to them and knew literally everyone’s names just by hearing their voices. It was so interesting
