To be fair, they’re clearly trying to stay in her good graces because they want to get any and all information they can. If they say something accusatory she yells and hangs up, so being nice to her seems like the best next approach.
Unfortunately, this is what happens when you enable your child their whole life and never make them face the consequences of their actions. As soon as I heard the part where her parents threw her a party after she “graduated” even though they knew she lied and flunked out, I could see it plain as day.
Actually she wrote more than that in a excerpt of a journal she’s asking for forgiveness for a mortal sin. And then she goes on to say that she has done a terrible thing that must not be named.
I have run into several young women like her and can see right through her talk. People like her don't realize we have a full view of the truth, but her parents just shoved the truth under a rug and now their grand daughter got buried there too.
Dumb jurors to fall for a slick-talking defense attorney. But the prosecutor should have seen this coming and stressed "beyond reasonable doubt" versus "beyond all doubt."
At about 29:50, she slips up twice and speaks of Caylee in past tense, then corrects herself. The world was not ready for this woman. If her case happened today, the outcome would have been different.
Crazy to think that I was born in 05. She would be my age, probably going to college, graduated, or living the life of a teenager. Damning to think how a life can be ended shortly and experiencing life taken away from selfishness.
I dont understand any of this. She lies to detectives about everything. The babysitter doesn't even exsist, the work colleague doesn't have a child, she led the police around by the nose. Its unbelievable to me that she walked and escaped prison. She should be serving life with no possibility of parole. I feel so sorry for the childs grandparents and the detectives that worked this case. Its utterly unbelievable
Exactly. Sometimes no evidence is even required to figure out if someone is indeed guilty. The demeanor of this woman! Who in their mind thinks it's reasonably sane to act like that! as if you're annoyed/irritated of the fact that people are still trying to figure out where your missing child went! Not only does it show a clear lack of empathy, but it just further proves she did kill her child because the only person who would want to *stop* *talking* about a murdered child is the murderer themselves! The paranoia must have really been getting to her for her to be so unbelievably stupid. And this is where I'm going to say my unpopular opinion. She probably walked free because she's a woman, and a fairly attractive woman, so people just treat her differently! Women already have it fairly easy in the justice system! It's also why you'll still see people defending her online, because only an absolute joke of a human being could believe she's innocent! And yes, people *actually* defend her and even still make news articles on her as if she's somehow a victim. The people defending her are honestly just as bad as she is!
@@shizmanbeat It may be an unpopular opinion but it's absolutely true. Women are treated like children in our society with no accountability for the most part, not always. @dualspectrumreality ytilaermurtcepslaud I think the guy meant the word psychopath doesn’t suit what you’re describing. Psychopaths have the disorder due to a genetic predisposition. They feel no empathy and can’t form genuinely loving relationships but they are good at mimicking and understanding human emotions. This is because to them emotions aren’t an actual feeling, it’s just a state someone is in and that’s what they understand from it. The better word to describe her would be a sociopath which is not a genetic trait but instead something that is born from environmental factors (such as never being accountable for anything she has done). Sociopaths are narcissistic and display antisocial behaviour. Unlike psychopaths who may be cold hearted but calculated, sociopaths are impulsive and usually leave a lot of clues when they commit crimes because they don’t understand how others may see them.
@dualspectrumreality ytilaermurtcepslaud I'm just giving a possible idea on what the other dude meant as "no". I know what I said wasn't definitive as you pointed out, it was just a trend in behaviour under each category.
Permisive parrenting steared her into right path of compulsive lying so she could control her spineless parents whilst her narcissistic border line sociopathic personality carved the rest of this "beauty" we just witnessed, and i am convinced-she will be back.
Yes, it is. And even though her life may never be what it could have been had she _not_ murdered her child, it doesn't matter much because it's still more than Caylee got and more than Casey deserves.
What was that story from her attorney about her Father sexually abusing her as a small child? Outside that, the duct tape around skull and dumped in a swamp says it all really. She's a really dangerous psycho.
Ah. The tell tale signs of a person who was injured as a child, was rewarded to lie, lives in her head and parties to cope. Pressure in college. @@ericjurgens372 huh? they are talking about how Casey said that Zanny would baby sit Caylee, and hopkins son Zack together, even though hopkins had no kids.
They found her body with tapes on her mouth and nose, they claimed she got drowned in her pool (if she got drowned in the pool, why did she buried her with tapes on her mouth? how does that make any fucking sense?). She googled suffocation the same day too. Isn't it fucking obvious? I don't know how that lawyer could defend her and I really don't know how the jury came to the conclusion. Maybe the extremely unrelated "she got abused when she was 14" statement helped it. I don't care what she's been through, all I care is the fact that she killed her own daughter to continue partying. And get into that hot body competition. I bet that was fucking worth it.
"...how glad I am that she's had both of you" does not imply that Casey knows the child is dead. That is something someone might say when a child has experienced something traumatic and the parent is glad for the love given to the child in the past. Something to be thankful for, considering the situation. We can also make a case that by emphasizing that "she IS lucky", Casey was just trying to reassure her parents that Caylee is still alive, for their own sake. Lot's of red flags in this case, but this one is very minor at best.
@@woobjn you really missed the point of the video if you didn’t see the part where they literally don’t have 100% evidence that she did it. That’s what’s required by law technically. Whether she did it or not the way it blew up was a fucking nightmare for trying to get justice. Had the media not been so up the case’s ass, it might’ve never come to this.
I can’t believe anyone could see the way she acted paired with her search history and journal and not be completely convinced that she killed that girl
Yeah pretty messed up right? The only argument that opposes this is that someone could have typed that into her phone. Fabricating the evidence, yet that seems very very unlikely cause of the other evidence. I think that her lawyer was just very good at manipulating the jurors.
Zanny....xanny....Xanax.....the nanny might've been Xanax. Aka. she gave the child Xanax to keep the child asleep or whatever and maybe the child overdosed on Xanax.

@@timmyp8459 If the prosecutor can’t convince the court that someone is guilty beyond reasonable doubt, they shouldn’t convicted. Otherwise we’d lock up anyone for anything. Hell sometimes people seem completely guilty and aren’t. Just watch any court movie, like My Cousin Vinny and 12 Angry Men. Not saying the defendant here is guilty or innocent, just saying that a legal system run by emotions is dangerous and terrifying.
I really hope her friend is okay, you really could hear the love and pain in her voice when she said it would kill her if anything happened to the little girl. so sad.
I would have liked to see the detectives asking her for details of what Caylee's life was like, what her interests were and what foods she liked, what was her favourite toy and what she'd be missing right now. She would be unable to answer and that would be utterly compelling to the parents on the jury. I actually think she should have been tried by a jury of other twenty something parents, because it would have been obvious to them how abnormal she is.
Dude she makes up lies in 2 nanoseconds and speaks them with full confidence, and when presented with direct evidence to the contrary, reweaves those lies instantly and confidently. She never stumbles when it comes time to lie about something.
The doubt raised by the defense was, in fact, not reasonable. This, I think, is why she walked free. The jurors were too ignorant to realize that doubt is not inherently reasonable.
She is emotionless. She was a spoiled child, that thought that she will get anything she wants by any means, and she did. That is the frustrating part, a beautiful child was killed and she get away with that.
Imagine hearing a detailed description of how this nanny babysat Caylee alongside your son Zach in a lovely room in your home and being so baffled because you literally never had a son...
This is so sad. Glad Caylee had good grandparents and people looking out for her during her short life. 29:44: Casey slipped up saying: “Caylee has been so lucky. Caylee is so lucky to have the both of you.” That tense switching could have been an innocent mistake, but it is the way she caught herself and corrected herself that got me.
9:45 there are so many things that clearly point to her guilt, but this one takes the cake for me. Sure, people deal with grief differently, but I don’t even have kids of my own yet and if it was any child in my care be it daycare work or a family member, anyone close at all to me would be able to tell that something was off with me even if for some reason I chose not to bring it up (which, I thought my cat was gone this morning and called my mom in a panic after less than an hour. I love my cat so much but he’s not a human baby). There is no scenario where I can imagine keeping up with and/or making plans with ANYONE like everything was normal when my baby was gone, much less acting so casual that they don’t even notice something is off. She may be lying about not telling her boyfriend just like she lied about everything else, but the fact that she thinks that’s sensible even as a lie says a lot about her. Disgusting. I’m surprised she hasn’t gotten “street justice” by now
The minute her mother was trying to hand her the phone to talk to 911 and she said “I don’t have anything to talk to them” was the minute I knew this is about to be TRAGIC.
In that phonecall she keeps saying "she HAD both of you" then changes to "and she still HAS both of you" typical killer talk referring to the victim in the past tense then she realises and changes to refer to her as if she's still alive. Dunno why they didnt pick up on that.
I would really like to know, how we got from caylee was missing a month an grandparents had been calling to see her. Too her daddy had her an she drowned in the pool This is one messed up story.
The kid has been missing for 31 days yet didnt feel the need to call 911 for help. Car had been smelling like a dead body. Googled how to suffocate someone. Yet she is roaming freely, wow!!! I hope the little one gets justice in God's world!!!
Even though I know all of the details of this nonsense, I still get so incredibly angry about this disgusting excuse for a human being. Especially now as a mother.
hearing her friend cry over if caylee was hurt and she just responds with "calling you guys. . . waste of time" stunned me. truly painful to have everyone but her own mother care for this poor child
i was so confused as to why the best friend was taking it so personally though? i thought they kind of asked her to start crying on purpose to see if it’d get anything out of her and it didn’t work :/
@@catshugging I think it’s basic human empathy to cry over a 2 year old being missing, especially if it’s someone you actually know. Maybe she has nieces or nephews in her own life that are very near and dear to her so it hit home besides just the fact that she was Casey’s best friend
Ugh the prosecution did terribly. When you’re going against a charismatic defense attorney YOU NEVER JUST ALLOW THE FACTS TO SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES. This case honestly bears so many similarities to the OJ trial. People didn’t want to believe their beloved athlete superstar was capable of murder, just like the world doesn’t want to believe a mother is able to murder her child and not feel a bit of remorse for it. Instead of clinging to the facts and thinking the jury is logical and educated enough to be persuaded in that alone, they should have focused more on bridging the disbelief to the fact that she murdered her child.
Yup. It’s obvious she is guilty but Baez did a way better job than the prosecution. And unfortunately the jury is only allowed to consider the evidence presented in court. They are not allowed to read newspapers or watch tv so most of them would have no idea of the case beforehand.

@@sushantkadam8347 what do you mean? They were terrible parents...
The fact that she wrote in her journal that she’s the happiest she’s ever been in the midst of her daughter being ‘missing’ says a LOT.
Actually she wrote more than that in a excerpt of a journal she’s asking for forgiveness for a mortal sin. And then she goes on to say that she has done a terrible thing that must not be named.

In that phonecall she keeps saying "she HAD both of you" then changes to "and she still HAS both of you" typical killer talk referring to the victim in the past tense then she realises and changes to refer to her as if she's still alive. Dunno why they didnt pick up on that.
This video shows us, ladies and gents, that jurors can be easily manipulated to let a criminal out of jail
She acts ANNOYED that her parents say “everyone in the country is looking for our Caylee”

I would really like to know, how we got from caylee was missing a month an grandparents had been calling to see her.

Casey: oh my god this is such a waste of time
Yeah that part got me especially mad, since there’s many parallels between her and my oldest sister. Thank god my sister doesn’t have any kids...
Hey...she wasn’t wrong
You're such a drag, mum. Let's go partyyyyy
@@mrniceguy7168 This is true! At that point it WAS a waste of time....because she was dead and laying on the side of a road.
she presents like a narcissist. " where is Caylee " ? " This is a waist of time ". her kid isn't the primary concern for
The kid has been missing for 31 days yet didnt feel the need to call 911 for help.
I was wondering if anyone was gonna say anything about that
Yeah. I bet that friend would have adopted Caylee if the murderer the murderer told her what she was planning.
i was so confused as to why the best friend was taking it so personally though? i thought they kind of asked her to start crying on purpose to see if it’d get anything out of her and it didn’t work :/
@Big Ups right? what the hell is iris talking about
@@catshugging I think it’s basic human empathy to cry over a 2 year old being missing, especially if it’s someone you actually know. Maybe she has nieces or nephews in her own life that are very near and dear to her so it hit home besides just the fact that she was Casey’s best friend

@@Arkantos117 This chick was not smart or smooth and got away with murder. You gonna be fine.
Maybe not the best description of yourself for this particular video.
@@Arkantos117 what are you talking about?
The fact that Christina had more compassion for Caylee than her own mother...
Poor Jeffrey. Imagine getting dragged into a homicide case because someone who worked at the same place as you years ago remembered your name?
My exact thoughts. Kinda feel bad for Universal Studios too getting their named dragged through the mud. I imagine if I worked there at the time I wouldn't feel too good about myself, even though I had nothing to do with it.
Even worst, they didn't even worked at the same time, they just knew each other. Some people are evil and just get away with it
Her family are just as insane as she is. Even the most charitable interpretation of the situation would be one of appalling child neglect followed by a total lack of emotion or concern, yet her parents continue to treat her as if her dog ran off.

Casey Anthony probably listens to this and takes notes on where she needs to improve her game.

When she said, "wow this is a waste" when her best friend is saying "if anything happened to that little girl I'm going to die!" I honestly lost my mind. How can any mother respond like that about their own little girl?

she's a waste of oxygen, plain and simple.
I cant imagine how the detectives feel after putting forth the work to lock this monster up only to have her out and free as if nothing happened... As a parent my life w/o my girls in it isnt a life...
This case single handedly gives criminals hope that regardless of how damning the evidence against you is, you might still go free
Casey's mentality through this whole thing is "Uuugghhhh... I feel like _all_ we ever do is talk about this dead daughter of mine. Change the record already."
Accurate AF
Accurate. I feel the jurors suffers from psychopathy as well. There was smell in her car of a dead body, she is out partying when her child is missing, literally no sign of remorse of her death, but apparently there isn't enough evidence.
Honestly, from the get go, she talks about her missing daughter with the same level of concern as misplacing her coffee mug.

- Showed no signs of sadness her daughter was dead, murdered or not
- Wrote in her diary about how happy she is and how the end justifies the means
- Googled how to suffocate someone
- Car smelled like a dead body
And still was found not guilty? Bullshit. Honestly should've been a mistrial cause the judge even later admitted that bringing up the rape accusations when they had no proof tainted the jury.
