So refreshing to see children love and be thankful for their gifts, big or small, clothing or toys! That is rare these days. They have been raised to be thankful and loving! Great job, Ben & Jessa!

Jessa and Ben, you both have done absolutely AMAZING at parenting your children and it definitely shows! Your children are so appreciative of every single gift they got! Even Fern squealed with excitement when she thought it was just an Amazon Prime package... and she didn't fully realize the actual gift was inside!

Your children are adorable... they are thankful for everything that they received. I think you have missed your calling, I love how you have renovated your home and especially your taste in furnishings.

I love how Fern loved that she got a bag from Amazon. Then loved the hippo in it even more. That’s just precious. It’s wonderful to see kids who are thankful for every gift they receive, no matter how big or small.❤❤

I immediately thought of the song “I want a hippopotamus for Christmas” when Fern got hers. We have over a foot of snow in Iowa if you need more!

I love how the kids still get excited to watch each other open their presents! Fern is a wonderful big sister and she seems to understand the difference between a real baby and her baby dolls! Looks like you all had a great Christmas!

I’m still in disbelief that the young girl I watched grow up has such a beautiful family!
The gift per day is something I’ve never seen anyone do. Watching them get so excited about gifts that most kids today would be upset to get was amazing!! No expensive electronics or overpriced toys!
It reminded me of the toys I got back in the 70’s & 80’s and how excited I was!
Do you guys refrain from buying them stuff throughout the year because they saw it on TV?
Congratulations for Baby George! Two more days and he would’ve made it to my 50th birthday!

The hospital sent me home in a big Christmas stocking, did he have anything special? He was such a good baby with all the loud voices, little girls screaming, and having his little face smooshed with kisses!!

I just love the way you and Ben celebrate with the kiddos and spread the gift giving out for a few days-just like the way you celebrate birthdays. Makes it seem more special and one child at a time opening gifts has taught your children unbelievable patience! I especially loved Henry’s Christmas morning attire with the hat and rubber boots 🥰🥰🥰

I love how all of them except Spurg start out squealing and finally everyone except Fern follow his example, and then…there it is. Spurg gets the gift that makes stoic oldest brother squeal!
I absolutely love the girl’s squeal and Ivy saying “I’m just going to be patient for a while.” Doing her own leading.
And baby George, though early, was the best gift you two could’ve had.

Cherish these times. All too soon, the days are gone and you can’t get them back.
And say a prayer for me. I’m in the hospital recovering from a serious illness and have to start dialysis 3x/week tomorrow. Pray that this is the right move and that it works quickly.

I love how they watch each other open and see what the gifts are. That's how I did it with my kiddos when they were young. Too many kids rip through presents and nobody sees what they get and it's just chaotic. Good kids here.
