The Bubble was even worse because Ariza refused to play due to concerns, Hood was injured, Collins and Nurkic slowly making their way back. Melo definitely helped Blazers win a lot of games, especially in the Bubble. Was no desperation, more so a necessity.

When he was on the Knicks, boy, he was like in a Kobe situation when Kwame Brown was their second-best scorer. Every shot was tough cuz there's nobody else to guard. Kobe had it better cuz he's faster and can dribble but Melo's game is pure PF.

I felt that Melo should've went to Portland before he even went to Houston. It just seemed that he would be the perfect fit and piece for what they needed.
It was reported years ago that Dame and CJ were recruiting Melo. Melo with the previous Blazers squad that had defensive guys like Aminu and Harkless would have been the perfect fit for Stotts to implement lineups that could play D or score depending on the situation.

I’m unsure if Melo will say it but, the rockets coaching staff had it out for him. The defensive coach and Pringle’s coached melo back on the knicks. Once Pringle’s n staff were fired they were unemployed for a minute. When melo signed to Houston, the defensive coach quit. After Melos “parting” or sabotage, the defensive coach resumed his position and the rockets became a better defensive team. Melo could always ball

Main reason they was even out of the playoffs was because of injuries. They had Nurkic hurt, Collins hurt, Rodney hood hurt that was 3 starters during the season. Then in the buble they got nurkic back but no Ariza or hood. Cant wait to see them healthy
