Villains give speeches before the kill.
Arya Stark gives speeches during the kill.
Well, yeah. Villians care about their ego, and monologue before actually succeeding because it makes them feel important.
Arya Stark cared about her mission and avenging/protecting her family, so she only gave a speech once it would enhance her presentation without risking giving it away.
That's hasty generalization. We don't do that here.

In the books, people feared the northerners because they were the most ruthless and wild. And in the north, Ned was probably the calmest northerner. He was calm, civil, orderly, and honorable. But ned often worried that Arya was possessed by the wildness. And here, we see what he meant. Arya is the north. Unfortunately, Robb was too much a Tully, and Sansa had to learn through pain how to be a northerner. Arya was always like this. Vicious, cunning, savage, and wild.
Rob was a big pussy.😂
Sansa had to learn to be like a Lannister -- a southerner. Robb was too much like Ned who is the stereotyped lord of Winterfell.
Arya was always my favourite Stark_The North Remembers
Ned calls it the wolf blood. Lyanna had a touch of it and his older brother Brandon more than a touch.
"wild" in the sense of unable to think calmly and clearly that could jeopardize survival for the group. You can see the wildness in the Wildlings in general. All the northern lords think wisely except they have a bad habit of thinking other people will keep their word which was ultimately Ned's and Robb's downfall.
This was more satisfying than when Arya kills the night king..

Arya was angry at her for killing joffrey before she could
This is why Arya was my favorite character. So badass. I particularly love how she made sure that the young servant girl did not drink the wine. She saved those girls.
That was his young wife, not servant girl. A servant would not be sitting and/or rising next to him. He was a pig, as explained many times throughout the series.
I think that was threes phrase phrase, the old morons wife, his newest wife I guess I can’t talk straight sober I don’t know
And did so while staying in character as Walder Frey, not giving away the game yet.
As much as I would love to think she wanted to save that girl, I'm sure it was to pass along the message. As the old saying goes, "Dead men tell no tales."
@@Jack-fe7rv Surely it was both. Killing an innocent girl (who was being raped regularly as well, I'm sure) would make Arya a proper villian, not anyone to cheer. She could have chosen the servant girl who was passing out the wine (and who we saw at the end of the scene) to tell the tale.
"im not wasting good wine on a damn woman" lmao she really nailed that walder frey misogyny down pat.
@Deserve Not Desire If someone tells me not to drink in that way I'll probably think that person hates me for some reason. In this case, irrationaly, for being a woman, . So it's call misogyny

"Tell them the north remembers" is one of the greatest lines in this series.
When Arya says, “the North remembers”, it was one of the most satisfying things to hear from this series. The only time the phrase “The North Remembers” was more satisfying to hear, was when Wyman Manderley said it in his famous speech from the books. Which, if you haven’t read them yet, and you love Game of Thrones, you’ll really enjoy the books.

@@omelett9 She didn't kill any of the Frey women or children, just the men who participated in the Red Wedding.
@@omelett9 Since you're apparently unfamiliar with the show, the reason that Arya didn't bother to slaughter any of the Frey women is because none of the Frey women had the loyalty to the Frey name that Catelyn, Sansa, and Arya had to the Stark name. Walder's wives were chosen mostly as political maneuvers, most of them were barely a third of his age, and were to him very expendable (remember the one that Catelyn tries to use as a hostage during the Red Wedding). They had no real love for him or for the Frey name, and would have had no interest in avenging the Freys after Arya slaughtered the male side of the house. None of his daughters (trueborn or bastard) had the mind for the game, as most had been married off or were not interested in politics. Furthermore, none of them were directly involved in the events of the Red Wedding, whereas virtually all of the Frey males gathered in this scene were. And given that Arya found out about the Frey-Lannister plot that let to the massacre of the Starks, she would have known if any Frey women had been involved and probably would have killed them too.

I would have loved a "Father! WHYYY??" But genuine poisoning is fine with me.
😂
Waltuh
She is a boss!!! I want her on my team FOREVER!
What a friggin badass. My favorite character.
The faceless technique was really impressive, not only can use anyone face but also can impersonate the person perfectly, really terrifying
Sadly, Arya wasn't a full Faceless. She doesn't forgo her own identity as a Stark, which enabled her full membership to the guild.
@@circleancopan7748
What does forgoing her identity prevent her from doing that other faceless man can do
@@oomer2 then u can become the faceless God himself, just like Jaqen was. U become selfless and obtain some other arcane skills that probably only Jaqen knew.

"Leave One Wolf alive, and the sheep are never safe." -Arya Stark.
"A Lion doesn't concern himself with the opinions of the sheep." -Tywin Lannister.
The Starks and The Lannisters have been at each other's throats for centuries, one thing they have in common. they both hate sheep.
Feels bad to be someone with a sheep coat of arms
Imagine There would have been a sheep house XD
Sheep Sigiled Houses: "I'm in danger"
Wait did you say for centuries? To my knowledge, they didnt really have any issues with each other until this show started. They never really liked each other, but they werent going to war with each other until Bran peeked into the wrong window
@@ethanharmer5151 You should read the books.
I just realized, after watching this scene over and over: when Ayra was walking out and looking out over the carnage, _she was checking to make sure she'd killed them all._
When I am down, I come back to this scene
Who else just re-watched the red wedding and came here immediately
To watch revenge
Didn't even get trough 3 minits of the red wedding and I came here 😂
Its painful to watch the red wedding so no lol
Yep
Exactly 😂
I could die a proud man knowing that I fathered a daughter as fierce and tenacious as Arya Stark.
The gods made him a rat because he killed a guest under his roof.
- Brendon Stark
Wow this faceless ability is so cool, I hope Arya uses it more going forward
No character in any work of fiction got a better taste of revenge like Arya did in this moment, and what she said to that young girl before she walked off, one of the coldest lines ever...

For me, this was one of the most chilling scenes in the whole series...and I loved every moment of it!
Such a satisfying couple of scenes.
The nice little detail on how “Frey” didn’t want to waste wine on a woman but it was actually arya preventing the women from dying from the poison
Really wow 100 iQ
Bruh no shit why didn't i see that earlier
Thank you Captain Obvious.
Well of course. She needed one person to be left alive to tell the tale.
@@horrorfan117 Arya is n0t a bl00dthirsty killer. Shhe 0nly kills th0se that deserves it. She tried t0 save a m0ther and daughter in Keep's Landing when Daeny went c0mplete psych0 and burned the city.
The Freys' mistake wasn't betraying the Starks.
It was failing to finish the job.
didnt the starks betray the freys when robb broke his agreement to marry walder's daughter?
Joseph Pinto You’re right. Robb had it coming .
JcLazy1 Only Robb not every one in the house , family or allies with the starks got slaughtered
@@silvertiger4441 Casualties of war. Honestly Robb should had known better to think everything would be ok after he went back on his word. Back in those days and even now your word is your bond! His mother knew what would happen. Robb should had just used the women he really loved as an mistress. Then this fool actual brings the women into the Frey's house? That's a slap in their face after they helped him beat the landisters. Nope i am sorry as the king of the north he had a job to own up to his debts and protect his family. There's alot of good people in the grave that died over pussy. Just like the trojun war and Roberts rebellion it's not even worth it.
@@JcLazy1 Your word is your bond. Robb broke his word and then insulted the Frey Clan by bringing the woman into their home and pretty much telling them that they just have to suck it up. Even though I have no problem with that Arya did to the Frey's, she sould have been more angry with her brother for being stupid and overplaying his hand.
Loved the second scene, but what I think was wrong in the writing was showing the first scene where Arya kills Walder Frey, because from that moment the surprise effect was not as present when she kills everyons of the Freys, we were kind of waiting for it. Except that I loved this part and the "tell them that winter came for house frey"
The starks send their regards
