It really does! Usually these types of videos where one person plays multiple roles gets cheesy and almost disconnects me from the content. However, Joel always seems to nail each character he portrays to perfection. The dialogue he has for each character really brings it all home!

imagine walking through the woods and coming across joel filming this. No idea whats going on just some man changing costumes and shouting at a camera as you watch from your bush
Suzie : * Is concerned about you being cold because everyone else is wearing sweaters and you're in a shirt * Knows you're from the same town so saying "I don't know where you come from" doesn't make sense Honestly love that she just has a liiiitle bit more deductive reasoning than the other kids.
I don't think I've ever seen an actor with the range you have, nor a sketch comedian that so perfectly meshes comedically exaggerated performances into an otherwise accurate yet simplistic representation. I didn't mean for that last sentence to sound as pseudo-intellectual as it did but regardless, keep up the good work Joel.
I love the character breaks at the end of these. It cuts the tension perfectly. Outstanding work man I'm busting at my seams. My literal seams. Like. Help. Get some patches, my seams on my clothes are tearing.
Your costume design in all your shorts is so high quality! Gives me so much inspiration to actually dress my characters with unique outfits instead of what i usually do which is wear sweat pants lollll
I just watched the spike lee masterclass and he spoke about the effectiveness of the high/low camera angles for story building. For a youtube creator joel and his fellas actually put a lot of thought to framing and camera angles. You guys make some darn good videos👍

Man, for weeks I've been seeing thumbnails for your vids and each time I'd just pass em by. Too many channels that attempt this sort of thing out there and that has made me rather dismissive since they tend to disappoint. Not you though. Everything I've watched on your channel thus far has been rather remarkable. You are the very example of how good things come to those who work hard and persevere. I hope you keep it up.
Omg I remember going on a field trip with two other kids and one of the girl's mom was our guide. It was super unenjoyable because she wouldn't let us go try stuff other groups were doing and just followed her daughter around pampering her and buying her stuff. We also couldn't stay at each area that long even if we wanted to stop and look at something or spend longer in a gift shop because the girl wasn't interested or wanted to leave. It sucked, but that girl is one of my best friends now lol and she told me she felt bad her mom was like that and she didn't enjoy it much either
The beginning was pretty funny for me cuz I work at an elementary school and was asked that very question when I was walking back into the building one day. "Are you cold?!?!?!"
