    I'm a 73 year old retired racoon-meat peddler living in south Wyoming and I gotta say, it brings me so much joy to see that the younger generations can still apprecaite the golden days of music my generation was raised on! I remember the first time I listened to Highway to Hell. It was 1979 and I was making out with my girlfriend in the back of my van, racoon meat slipping in between our bodies and stinking up the place. The two of us were barely making enough scrap to make ends meet, but hearing the legend himself Brian Johnson give it his all gave us so much adrenaline that we just said: "Fuck it!" And we decided to make out and do Ayahuasca for a whole week straight, instead of selling racoon meat on the side of the road! Fast forward a few decades later and that girl is still my good ol' ball-and-chain for 42 years straight!
    I guess what I'm saying is that I'm so glad kids these days can still be just as passionate about good music as the fine lad in this video! Music defies generational gaps! It brings us all together to enjoy good songs with some drugs in one hand and a bucket of racoon meat in the other! ROCK ON!

      Im guilty of hyping up vinyl records too... after few years of crate digging i honestly don't even hear a difference between playing a record vs playing something from Spotify using the same overpriced speakers lol but back then i would argue its somehow better lmao
      I still love to surf shops with old shit qnd find cool records but it definitely has nothing to do with sound, its just cool to have a vinyl record of whatever

    • @somone124
      @somone124 년 전 +2

      @@aw2584 Yeah. The sound is actually diffrent. Like not noticable or in anyway better, but always slightly shifted. I like to play along to songs and I noticed that songs on vinly often are a bit higher or lower cause of minimal speed diffrences. These could be argued to be worse honestly haha. But I like it. Makes the music seem more individual. It's bullshit probably, but that's what I love about vinyl

    • @aw2584
      @aw2584 년 전 +12

      @@somone124 I think it's just your record player messing up or your records have not been preserved well lol for example people talk about loving the "vinyl crackling noise" but for actual vinyl record owners that shit is a curse as it means your record is fucked up lmao a brand new record ain't got no crackling, it develops overtime if you don't take care of it.
      Some differences are also self implied and I think every electric guitar player knows what's up; people with decades of experience will argue about "tonewood" and how irrelevant parts of the guitar will significantly affect their sound and they truly believe it and hear it... because they believe it, in reality the physics prove the sound of said electric guitar is all in its electronics, pickups, strings and their distance from said pickups plus few other things but despite how quantifiable this is PLENTY of people still believe random shit like how the goddamn COLOUR OF THE GUITAR MAKES A SONIC DIFFERENCE because that's the strenght of autosugestion.
      For example, snd this also happened to every guitsr player at some point, i would sit for 10 minutes adjusting my equaliser pedal trying to find that sweet spot, I would increase the lower, bassy sounds and be like nah that's too much, scoop the mids, boost the trebble only to think nah, that bassy sound felt more full... only to realise the EQ pedal is in bypass mode and I spent last 10 minutes fiddling a turned off pedal. Debating how it affects my sound.
      So yeah. lmao

      @@aw2584 It's actually what you said, slight inproper storing of the vinyl by the previous owner. As a real vinyl enthusiast that and crackling created through the use of the previous owner is actually what I love though. Because that's the diffrence between vinyl and digital. Vinyl gets used and it shows. I've never liked a fresh of the plant vinyl. As you said, there's no diffrence; but my Disintegration vinyl has a lot of crackling, especially at love song and is slightly slower than it should be and these signs, that somebody actually listened to it alot before selling it, make me love it so much. I know it's pseudo romantic bullshit, but that's actually what I love about vinyl; the stories behind it
