    "minimize the stuff that makes it a chore for you and maximize the stuff that makes it fun" is seriously sage advice for WHATEVER discipline your art-form is! Thanks for this insight, Joel!

    I'm not a filmmaker but I really loved the idea of "Maximize the things you do like and minimize the things you don't" - something that I feel applies to all aspects of life and creativity. I'm really glad your channel is taking off, looking forward to see where you go next :)

    I know it makes sense but there's something I find so funny about you explaining why you're using a vhs for the behind the scenes footage so that's why it looks grainy and old, and then explaining how you get your digital camera looking artificially grainy and old for the film :p

    • @asanisi
      @asanisi 3 년 전 +9

      Well, they're really different kinds of grain. Film, vhs, and low-res digital video look pretty distinct if you see them more than a couple times.

I have watched damn near every video of yours and I have loved each and every one. And now that you've shown us how you create these shorts, it just makes me appreciate all of the hard work you put in even more. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I love your channel and that this internet stranger is really proud of you! Keep doing you, Joel!
