@@Shmellix Yup I know how that feels. Even worse is when the gab between you and your other relatives was far too large. In the end, me and my siblings just fucked off to our own area and stayed to ourselves (didn't like most of my extended family for some reason I just can't put my finger on...) and then they're surprised why we never go to these things as adults.
My sister didn't sit at the grownups table until she got married and even then we held a grudge against her for it lol

Well I was 26 when my father and me visited another family and apparently he told me to sit on the kid table with their teenage children (and their friends) because "It would be too boring to sit with the adults for you". So yeah I ate ice cream with 13 year olds.

You perfectly hit the nail on the head. I once thought that no KRplus channel could ever top the content that BalloonShop released, but Joel has somehow managed to do that.
I feel like people romanticise the Pythons a fair bit these days, only remembering the classics. Some of their stuff wasn't that great, or has aged poorly. Joel's stuff seems to be pretty consistently good, and I have a feeling it will age well too. Don't get me wrong though, still a big Python fan, just without the rose coloured glasses I used to wear.
I watched the Life of Brian recently and found it amusing. Though, as someone who's never seen any of their work before, I think it does feel like surreal humor of the past. Used to be unique, nowadays it's more quaint than properly weird (no doubt in part due to their huge influence).

I love the acting bit at the end to make us feel like none of Joel's feelings were hurt in the filming process .

Including my cousins, I'm the second youngest of a familial generation of 14. The youngest being my little sister. You don't know what it's like to be truly infantilized until you are eating with your niece who loves to bring up the fact at Thanksgiving dinner that her dad used to beat you up. In front of all the other kids. I didn't get bumped up to the adult table till I was 18. "No room" they told me. Thanks for this one Joel, it was great.
