It seems to me that too often comedians say dumb shit and when people don't laugh, they call out the audience for "being sensitive" instead of admitting that what they said just wasn't funny. It's the comedians being too sensitive to admit that their brand of comedy (in that instance) doesn't have appeal among as many people as they would like.

God, I fucking hate comics whose ENTIRE ACT AND PERSONALITY is just them complaining about cancel culture, triggered SJW snowflakes and not being able to make a single joke in *currentyear*. I swear, so many comics with zero insight or personality made careers of that. Most male comedians of a certain age eventually go down this route. They're not actually funny in the main, because they can't conceive of a form of humour that doesn't punch down. They were probably bullies in school with a lot of Crabbe and Goyle friends. Cruelty always gets a laugh from the dull witted, and the moment they find out they aren't funny, they launch into exactly the rant Joel's depicting. And then their dull witted fans leap in to defend them because they have even less imagination.

@@azraphon I think it might just be that they're out of touch and old and good comedy means being in touch and being able to accurately make fun of something with fresh eyes. They're old rich people, not exactly the best place to spawn fresh and funny critiques.

I like some of Joe Rogan. Just... in small doses. His approach is refreshing, because he brings on different people who don't just circle jerk his own mindset. We get plenty of that hot fucking garbage elsewhere. If we're talking comedy, I'd rather have George Carlin than literally anyone else on the planet.

How did I get to Dave Ruben's channel?
Must have gotten lost, made the wrong turn at the fork in the Rogan, then made a hard right onto Bullshit Boulevard where Crowder lives and drove straight off a cliff while Shapiro watched and fapped in a nearby bush, landing directly on Ruben's channel.
This is the greatest ever, so damn true, none of them see how ridiculous they look saying that then also toeing the line at every turn.
This showed up on my feed right after Joe Rogan told everyone to not get vaccinated. Golden.

And their rivals, Behind the Bastards, which is a crazy journalist (took a bunch of drugs, asked his friends to take a bunch of drugs, so he could write a book about drugs; also covered Iraq and Syria on the ground) telling comedians about shitty people in history. I learned about the Dollop bc BtB covered the California Egg War also and mentioned competing with the Dollop. Now I'm going to have to listen to both.
