Honestly: If it‘s only the algorithm why not make a ‚jolly live‘ channel where everyone who enjoys the live-streams can watch them?
Ikr. I don’t like this.
Because as they've said, the money that they get from the YT algorithms varies, why rely on that when instead they can make more money by having a subscription. Say 3,000 people from the 2.3mil subscribers on Jolly sign up: 3,000subs x $2.99/mo. = $8,970.00/monthly revenue x 12 mos. = $107,640.00 yearly from live streams memberships. They, like gyms, will be counting on people to forget that they're subscribed to the monthly membership and will not cancel to keep the money rolling in. I wouldn't be surprised if eventually they try to do a Patreon on this channel also. Not a fan of the membership, would rather they just do a separate channel like you suggested but I feel that they're getting a little greedy due to not having the normal sponsorship opportunities that they would normally have. However, everyone has bills to pay and the bottom line lies with what the consumer wishes to spend his/her money on.

You add your own spice to the vlogs that gives it that British touch... VERY FUNNY stuff! I'm just going back into your past blogs and watching... Having a great time.. I want to say how much joy your channels have given me, especially since quarentine began. I look forward to every episode to take me out of the depressing thing that is day to day right now. Having said that, I am very upset and disappointed that you are going to membership only videos. One of the harsh realities of covid is that a lot of us (jollybeans) have little to no income right now. Even $2.99 a month would be difficult for us. So if that is the case, I just want to say I wish you the best and thank you for such wonderful memories.

I'll be honest with you, Josh and Ollie, I downloaded the 2 million subscribers live so I could watch it later, as I knew it could also be removed from the channel. I didn't upload it anywhere, just kept it on my PC. I was really enjoying the lives, and one of the lives I wanted to watch, the one on your birthday, didn't stay long enough for me to see it too. I understand the reasons for having removed the lives from the channel, and I wish you guys all the best, for the entire crew also, the same wishes and love! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
