However I am a bit concerned about this episode because even though the candied fruits are popular in Korea, it is a Chinese snack originated from China😅 I am so worried if anyone misunderstands or blames this channel for saying it is sold in Korea, so I wish if you could correct that bit on the comments or so.

This actually isn’t Korean, it’s just currently trending in Korea. It’s originally from China and it’s called Tang Hu Lu, it’s been around since my parents were kids in the 60s and 70s and you can find it at street markets around China.

lol, those "korean candied fruit" has been around hundreds of years in china, one of the most popular treats for kids even adults during lunar new year. commonly we use chinese hawthorn berries, sour berries covered with sugar not only taste good also help with digestion
Went to Henan in December and tried some from the street vendor. Sour berries were a shock after the sweet hard sugar, but it was really good

다들 korean candied fruit에 신경이 쓰이는 것 같아 보이는데 candied fruit(탕후루) 자체에 이미 중국음식이라는 의미가 들어있어서 Chinese 라는 수식어는 의미 중복이라 쓰지않아요. 그래서 korean은 '한국 방식의'로 해석해서 읽는 데 아무 문제가 되지 않습니다.
candied fruit 는 절인거나 졸여서 만든 과일이라는 건데 중국뿐 아니라 원래 세계 각지에 많습니다 단지 중국식 당호로 즉 탕후루라는 대명사로 많이 쓰지만 결코 똑같은 걸 뜻하는게 아닙니다

There's quite a few comments below about this already but I also wanted to clarify that the candied fruit here is traditionally Chinese snack 糖葫芦 (tang hu lu) that's become popular in several other Asian countries, including Korea. I understand that when Josh said "Korean candied fruit" he may have meant "candied fruit making kit currently popular in Korea" and not "a Korean originated snack that is candied fruit". However, please also understand that it can be incredibly confusing to viewers who may not be familiar with the origin of the snack in Asia and assume this is a Korean originated snack based on the phrase "Korean candied fruit". If the Jolly team,(or Josh himself) could clarify this fact and either pin the comment or just post it within the description of the video that would be awesome! This is an incredibly cute video of Josh and Ollie making snacks for Juno and I wouldn't want a misrepresentation of information to ruin this wholesome gesture.
P.s. I know Josh already responded to a different comment that he has eaten tanghulus in China before but only saw the kits in Korea, but the comment itself has already become hard to find and it may even be lost once this video has stayed up for a while.
Koreans and most Asians probably already know that this is a Chinese originated snack, but the Jolly channel has lots of non-Asian viewers as well who might not have even heard of tanghulu before they made this video. I feel like there should be a disclaimer that tanghulu is from China, but this tanghulu making kit is what he meant when he said "Korean candied fruit" so those who are seeing tanghulu for the first time doesn't get confused when they go to Korea in the future.
Also, I don't recall Josh actually being part Chinese? His family moved there when he was younger so he knows some of the language, but isn't he completely English? I might have missed the video where he addressed it.
