AG1 is €87 a month. I think it sounds like a good product, but I typically spend €120-160 a month on groceries here in central Europe and I have the impression that a lot of viewers here don't have an extra €87 a month to spend on a drink. Then again, I would much rather see ads for AG1 than Better Help.

its just better. italian pizza is so undercooked. cheese doesnt get any browning, crust is soggy, tomato sauce is under seasoned. he can keep all the legit pizza for himself and his fellow italians who refuse to improve recipes from 250 years ago.

When I studied acting for commercials, we were taught a technique called “bite and smile,” to show how delicious a particular food item was. Ducky did such a beautiful and natural “bite and smile” when he tried that piece of lemon pizza! Wow!

First off, super cool that you did multiple pizza spots and hit different types of pies. Also cool that you stuck to the basics, nothing too crazy, just so you could compare the different types. Pizza, Italian, Chinese, and Bagels are pretty much what you want to eat in NYC

When I was in college, I went to England for three weeks to study Shakespeare and see some other classic plays. We spent a week in Stratford (SUCH a beautiful place!) and two weeks in London. We were on our own for most meals, and me and my roommate found this delightful little Italian restaurant with some of the best pizza I've ever had. It was big, and rather floppy, but at first we ate it "American Style," with our hands. EVERY SINGLE PATRON in the restaurant would just stare at us! It got uncomfortable enough we adopted the knife and fork method. The pizza tasted just as good, and left our hands less greasy, so it was a win-win. We went back to that little restaurant many times over those two weeks! Some of the biggest treasures in the food industry look like little holes in the wall. And it was an awesome trip, one of the best experiences of my life! And now I REALLY want some pizza! And it's only 6:20am!

@@irfcy Well, as I said, it was huge slices that were pretty floppy. It could have used some Viagra. But it tasted great.
@@irfcy Never said I was sane!😜 But seriously, the slices were big and floppy, so not easy to hold, got our hands pretty messy. So we switched to the knife and fork method. Frankly, I believe all the best tasting foods are a little messy, from hamburgers to crepes and beyond!
Italian-style pizza is meant to be eaten with a knife and fork. It's a different kind of pizza than New York-style, which should always be eaten by hand

actually, tomatoes were brought back to Italy from the Americas, so before then pizzas didn't actually have tomatoes on them (my go-to fun fact as a person that doesn't usually like tomatoes)
Yep! South America, to be specific. The first "tomato sauce" was probably closer to a salsa than anything seen in Italy.
even then, modern pizza with tomato sauce didn't come around till the mid-1800s.

@@trussell9899 The water is essentially snowmelt from the Adirondack mountains. If you have ever watched the second Die Hard movie, the tunnels they are fighting in are new supply tunnels from the reservoirs to the city.

It's the water, that's what I heard when I was in New York. I'm from Las Vegas, NV. When I was a kid, I drank well water, but when I left home, I was subjected to the city water, and it was horrible. When I was in New York, I drank from the faucet, and it was really good, so them saying the pizza is so good because of the water makes sense.
Nah it doesn’t make any sense. It’s not the water that’s just the way they reduce it to something really simple that nobody else could ever have unless they are there. It’s really just the fact that they have a huge Italian population that has been making that pizza that way for a very long time.

Friends I took up to NYC, were freaked out bc of how the water came out looking like milk until the bubbles dissipated. They refused to drink it lol. Everything scared them 😂

Look no offense im sure the pizza here was good but as a Native New Yorker, born in Brooklyn.. naaah. You went to artisan places that charge more money than you need for a slice. You should have gone to Joes on Bleecker and Carmine, or Johns on Bleecker, Lennys in Brooklyn, L&B Spumoni Gardens in Brooklyn. You get an affordable price of some traditional affordable slices.

I'm from Connecticut (just north of New York), and we have a vibrant pizza culture here as well. There's a piece of advice that people who know pizza will give you: if you go to a pizza joint and they don't have a "tomato pie" (pizza with just sauce and a sprinkling of grated cheese, no mozz or toppings) on the menu, don't get their pizza. Their reasoning is exactly what you guys discovered: if all you have is your bread, oil, and sauce, the ingredients have to be good becuase there is nowhere for them to hide.
Tomato pie is a jersey thing tho.

A theme you should consider is gulf cost seafood. I can recommend Magnolia Grill in Fort Walton Beach and Boshamp's in Destin.
On our recent trip to FWB we dined at Magnolia Grill. I had chilled gazpacho followed with blackened amberjack on a bed of crayfish etouffe served with wild rice and steamed veges, then finished it off with a slice of pecan pie. If you do go DO NOT miss the opportunity to have one of their steaks. Their crab cakes and Alfredo are also the best I've had anywhere.

I've had NYC pizza and Chicago and I gotta say, Chicago is much better.

pizza with out cheese and only tomato sauce dates bqck to the mid 1800s and is older then what we currently consider modern pizza (neapolitan pizza). infact one of the early names for pizza in America was "tomato pie" as the first pizza here tended to be cheese less as neapolitan pizza was still brand new and had not spread out of southern itally when pizza first was established in the US

Have you drank NYC water? It's not great. NYC pizza and bagel shops do ferment their dough for 24 hours or more - and that develops flavor.
@@jeffredfern3744 I drank NYC water for several years. Their water is better than the majority of cities. The worst water I had was when I lived in Jax, FL. After that, NYC water was good.
