Pop mie is product of Indofood (the same company who make Indomie), basically it’s an easier version to eat since it doesn’t need a pot to boil the noodle.
I think you already did the indomie hype abis : Ayam Geprek in another video (btw awesome pronounciation by Ollie, it’s almost like local did! Maybe your talent in language is in Indonesian 😆 ), but trust me, the Pop Mie Pedes Dower (This is how to pronounce it. Pe like performance, des like The and add s, Do like do re mi, Wer like Where) and Pedes Gledek (just read gledek with the same E like Where. I doubt you can massacre that word 😂) are different.
Popmie Pedes Dower is the soup version and Pedes Gledek (if i’m not mistaken i think i saw some from the video, they have a kinda darker color packaging) is the dry version. I like spicy food. so for me, indomie ayam geprek is not spicy. But pop mie is on another level. Be careful guys. They have different spiciness from 불닭볶음면.
불닭볶음면 spiciness linger more in your mouth and it gets spicier the more you eat it. But Pop mie hit you instantly with explosive spiciness. If i can give you an analogy, eating 불닭볶음면 Is like a boxing fight with Ali. He gives you a jab bit by bit. And for Pop mie, it’s like a boxing fight with Tyson. He punch you right in the face with right straight. Both are painful, and both will make you down. It’s just different experience 😂

Oh yeah i forget to let you know what’s the name meaning.
Abis means very, so hype abis is very hype. It’s a word play from Hype beast 😅 because Ayam Geprek is a food that become very famous in Indonesia in the last 2 years i think. Ayam means chicken, and geprek means to smash it. It means to smash it using pestle and mortar with some very spicy sambal (indonesian chilli salsa).
Pedes means spicy, Dower means your lips are so big like its swollen. Basically it’s your lips situation after eating something so spicy 😂
Gledek means thunder. So what pop mie wanna say is “this is what you will experience after you eat this. Your lips will be dower (swollen), and your ear will hear some ringing sound like after hearing thunder so close” 😂
That pronunciation help got me to use all my RAM to speak those words! :D

Popmie is basically Indonesia's version of cup noodles. They can come in soup or dried ('fried') versions.
'Kuah' = Soup (so add water)
'Goreng' = Fried (AKA Dry. Pls pls do not add water in this. This was a terrible experiment never to be done again)
From what you read off, I think only Pop Mie Kuah Pedes Dower is the soup noodles and everything else is dry.
Recommendation on how to eat it, add fried egg and some veggies to the fried noodles yummm

I guess I made the mi goreng indomie wrong then. My package was all in a language I couldn't read and I found the broth to be really weak. It's not supposed to have a broth then? I actually really liked it if I used the seasoning from 3 or 4 packs as a broth based noodle, but tasted very plain with only 1
