De lekkerbeker(fried fish) sometimes de croquet.and the zuur vlees.. Gouda old and Jong cheese... So far I don t see... Even de meat you buy in the supermarket.. And I don't speak about the fish....

I've send care-packages of snacks from the Netherlands to a friend of mine in Finland and to my girlfriend in the US. It's great fun to do and get their reactions over live stream. Also, our cheese is VERY loved in other countries. Especially in the US. You can go to your local cheese shop and you can get a block of cheese vacuum sealed in plastic and it'll stay good for 2 months, long enough to survive a journey to a country on the other side of the planet!

Fun fact: patatje joppie chips were actually made through a contest from Lays. Anyone could enter with an idea for a new flavor and in the end patatje joppie (fries with a ''joppie'' dip sauce) won the contest. The man who thought of the flavor actually received 1% of the sales and made at least 100k!

if you ever go to the Netherlands, go to any store and find frikandelbroodjes. they are frikandellen with croissant-like dough around them and they are the true best thing ever (all of the people that I know -I live in the Netherlands- love them, and they're absolutely amazing)

Stroopwafel is absolutely wonderful!!! A friend had sent me some. She's in Michigan (USA), there's a large Netherland influence there. I had found them locally, but they were extremely expensive! Of course I had to have them π

the amount of potato chips and french fries ollie eats is high for someone who says he's kind of allergic
Because at this time it is what my doctor called a stomach intolerance. However, yes Ollie you should be more careful. I was like that with chicken. Not poultry just chicken. At 20 it was an upset stomach. Now at 51 it is tongue swelling and food poisoning symptoms for days after. I was once hospitalized because my brother put chicken broth in the rice. (He claimed it was an accident. However, my best friend believe it was a murder attempt. Lol still an on going debate among them.)

We really like our liquorice here in the Netherlands, most grocery stores have two parts of the wall (top to bottom) filled with different kinds. Its hilarious to watch people who are not used to the taste eat it, I think thats why people continue to send it to people who taste snacks. Even though almost nobody likes it, their faces are great π€£π€£

Lol the joppie chips are made to mimic the taste of joppie sauce which is a curry-oniony-mayonaise-y sauce used as a condiment with fries, you can get it everywhere! I hate most of the things you guys tried hahahaha, but loved seeing your reactions to them !! The urine talks were so funny π€£π€£π€£
I'd gladly try most of those snacks. Stoopwaffles are, as a whole, one of the best ideas ever for a snack. When American McDonald's was highlighting international creations, the Stroopwaffle McFlurry was my favorite. (Although I was also impressed by a seasonal, regional offering: the Hatch Chile Cheeseburger.)

Only the Dutch are able to eat 'drop'. Especially the double salted drop is for any non Dutch the worst kind of liquorice.
A lot of Scandinavian countries like liquorice as well, even the salty types but yeah the rest of the world just hates it. Really don't get it. There is almost nothing better than hard salty liquorice from Oldtimers.

@@Suztvfan I'm Dutch and really don't like drop (or anything containing salmiak), but went to Norway, Sweden and Finland on holidays. From what I could tell, it's especially the Finnish who really like liquorice as well (which in width of taste can be roughly the same as you can find in Dutch shops, although I don't think I've seen honingdrop in there).
