For the people who are saying that these idols get sexualized because they act sexy and wear revealing outfits. TXT is one of the few bgs who isn't doing a sexy or mature concept. They're doing something age-appropriate and youthful. And yet? They're one of the most sexualized bgs in this generation. People still get sexualized even when they're not acting sexy. Its the same thing as saying that women get sexually harassed and raped because they're wearing revealing outfits and that they're "asking for it". The fact is that women get raped even when they're not wearing revealing outfits. Getting sexualized and sexually assaulted has nothing to do with what the person themselves is wearing or acting/performing. It is the FANS fault for sexualizing any idols no matter what they're wearing/acting. Sexualizing ANY idol at ANY age is wrong and it's YOUR fault not the idol's.
The sad thing is that Taehyun explicitly said in their V-Live that they don't wanna be seen as sexy since 3/5 of them are still in high school. That fact that he had to say that out loud is sad when people should have that respect to begin with. Yet people still go ahead and sexualize them. Recently, during an online fanmeet a fan called Beomgyu sexy and he was so uncomfortable. Even if the boys do venture off to do a sexier, more mature concept, it's not a go signal for them to be sexualized.
@@rohanamonzon5990 Too late... Fans sexualized them 100 times more when Puma was released...

Ikr, from Jimin's No More Dream they have definitely improved and I love it. I can't help but cringe when I see their performance of NMD and that part comes, it makes be feel very sadly uncomfortable on Jimin's behalf, he doesn't look too comfortable :( glad they are changing
Edit: by "that part" I mean when he lifts his shirt to show his abs. He was still only 18 and I know that's not very small but he did not like it and it made him uncomfortable. That's enough reason for him not to do it.
@@user-tl4mk4en7n i also heard that jimin was having a hard time with his choreo on nmd

Jisung from NCT Dream literally has outright said that people asking him to lift his shirt makes him uncomfortable. He holds his hands up like they're cuffed together when people ask him to show his body on VLive to say he's underage. All of Dream have put up with it, and it's so wrong. It's wrong period, but it's even worse when idols have straight up said that people sexualizing them makes them uncomfortable and people continue to do so
@@hectzen23 well idk why he cant not wear a shirt boys go outside with shirt off everyday and noone has a problem with it people just care to much they dont enjoy the music they look to far into it they signed a contract to dress and dance like that so their ok with those but the fans go to far with it
@@hectzen23 yeah, soft stans are also so annoying why do you want them to be a baby forever? You're not their mother, grow up
@@hectzen23 They are already adults, and they can dress as they want, I don't see the problem, they are no longer babies. Mind you, no matter what excuse people want to give, sexualizing idols is never going to be okay, no matter how old they are. I always found it horrible how much they sexualized Jisung since he debuted.
okay I'll let them grow up. I didn't know this wasn't okay. Sorry
ooh he a savage 😎
That Tzuyu elevator dance was disturbing.
It doesn't matter how old they are. You shouldn't be sexualizing anybody in the first place
PREACH. we have to respect them not because they are idols, it's because they are human beings. Appreciate the artists for their creations, not for their body, they are not objects
Seeing a idol as hot or sexy isn’t necessarily a bad thing tho. It becomes an issue when you only see them for their body and looks aka objectifying them
I mean I mostly agree but it's ok when a twenty something year old idol is trying be sexy and we say "oh wow yeah that's sexy". But making any sexual comments about their body parts of any fantasy you have with this person you don't know is pretty gross
Catz1a that is my point :))

I never see people talking about this seriously but BTS Jimin was only 17 when bighit made him show his abs on literally EVERY stage 🙃 originally all members were made to do it but they all were uncomfortable and begged not to do it. in the end, Jimin was the one thrown under the bus to be the only one to show his abs and arms all the time and be the "sexy member" despite being 17 at the time of debut. at the very least bh waited until JK was of age to do the sexy concept for BS&T but that doesn't make this any better really

Hyuna was a minor too I believe when they made her the sexy member and Jungkook was widely sexualized when he was a minor. What made me disgusted is when fans said they waited for Jungkook to become an adult so they could sexualize him. Like wtf
@@katgreer6113 I think if fans are going to think about idols in that way, if both are adults then it's not like we can stop them as long as they keep it to themselves. I personally don't think it's okay to openly sexualize idols, I don't know how to explain it. The point it that adults sexualizing minors are just disgusting.
i feel so bad for him :(
I've seen that happen in another fandom too its very sad and I felt so disgusted :(((
Like during his younger teens people were zooming in on his abs. Some people are mature but dont realize HE WAS IN HIGHSCHOOL DURING BAEPSAE AND BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS AND THE COMMENTS ARE SOOO CREEPY LIKE YOURE THIRSTING OVER A HIGHSCHOOLER WHAT
Hyuna in the Irony (Wondergirls, JYP) video was the only one with a short skirt / cropped blouse and she was really young there
I think idols shouldn't even debut this young..their whole childhood goes to training. But glad someone finally talked about this. I remember when Hyuna's "Babe," came out I instantly knew what message she was trying to send trough the MV
"Babe" was amazing
And yes I think they should debut around 18-19 years old (like Blackpink for example, Lisa the maknae was 19)
niaraa i mean ofc its not good hut at the same time idols lasts likr 6~7 years but if they debut old they will literaly be in their 30~40s
I feel the same way. The kpop industry is so harsh and demanding. That is no place for a teenager. That is why a lot of idols that debuted when they were 15-17 don’t really seem to have unique, individual personalities (but they are still good people nonetheless)
D C the one thing YG did right lol
Ashley thats me they would not be in their 30~40, they would be in later 20s. Plus it doesn’t matter if they kept performing through their 30s
there's even a vlive of nct jisung and the comments were talking about how he should show his abs and he looked so uncomfortable, but chenle didn't catch on and was like "oh yeah, yours are really good and blah blah" and he was just soo awkward and i felt so bad :(
:(
yeah srsly wtf is wrong with these ppl
Kpop idols should debut at least 18 years old. So that no child exploitation reasons.
People did it to Jungkook when he was still underage. Weird older fans also tended to call him oppa even when he wasn't of age at fanmeets and he would call them out on it, albeit with humor, but it was a very disturbing trend. When he turned 18 people were celebrating that he was gonna be 'free' to be sexualized.
Ikr the same thing happened with Billie Eilish. The second someone turns 18 it's all of a sudden okay to want to fuck them and call them sexual names because they're "grown"

(It was this shirt that was only buttoned in the middle so basically if that button came off, it would reveal your whole chest) and some people started saying, “I hope that button falls off.” That’s disgusting. Stop sexualizing people.
Even if she's not a minor, its still disgusting
What I hate the most is when people make those "comedy" videos zooming into idols' private parts 🤢
everyone does that to yoongi from bts in that performance of blood sweat and tears. its not funny at all its dehumanising to know that no matter how hard you work in this industry, people are only gonna be focused on your body
Eww
@Moochiverse dahyun♡
talk about it, it was better than my friend who was a man touched my boobs and he is a year younger than me. Hahahha funny a 17 year old says it was a accident
What kind of comedy is that?
That Tzuyu ad made me so scared and uncomfortable
me too, like i heard about it but did not actually look for it, I am really shocked
I like the ad and she look stunning but after knowing she was just 16 it freak me out like WTH 😨
same I skipped it
I remember that in Pinterest I saw a pic of Tzuyu in that elevator dancing when she had 15 or 16 years old (I don't remember really well, sorry). It was pretty disgusting because some people were saying pervert thing to Tzuyu. It was pretty creepy.
jungkook was one of the worst victims of sexualization :(( especially since he started at a very young age (15) even from war of hormone era he was widely sexualized and it's honestly disgusting :(
The fact that you could literally look into/under Yuna's skirt-short thing or whatever the whole first fancam is just... Yuna gets sexualized since she debuted when she just turned 15 yet no one, not even in Itzy's own fandom seems to notice it. From having to wear push up bras and cleavage to dancing to sexy concepts covers in their debut cover of good girl, bad girl and award shows and wearing lingerie-leather looking outfits on tour omg please treat and dress her her age, she literally just turned 16, it's not her fault that she may look a bit older. And a lot of comments below her fancams seriously make me wanna throw up.
When she use a push up bra?
Link?
also that random dance in... manila? i think. when she did umpah umpah. she’s literally a child, she’s not thinking about how perverted fans are going to see her and react... the same goes for other underage idols dancing to sexual songs. they’re trying to enjoy themselves as best they can.
y’all asking about the pushup... you’re weird. anyways, it was one performance in august 2019, i don’t remember the exact date.
Look wannabe era midzys re suck
even without people sexualizing it tzuyu was doing that, AT 16?!
Her dancing was ok (it's normal for a dancer to start dancing in a more mature manner at a young age, it doesn't mean they are sexualised) however the video/editing was clearly meant to be sexual
She didnt choose to obviously.
D C especially when Tzuyu put on her jacket again and the man walked in and looked her up and down
I havent sexualized any of them but I agree that it's at least in my culture, normal to dance like that at a young age. I think girls should dance or wear (as long as they ain't naked lmao) whatever they want outside, and these idols especially young ones getting sexualized like this just.. oh god..
@@tararosabelle7368 where u live
I didn’t know kpop idols could be so young, I’ve only seen idols between the ages of 19-27
I've seen younger- they're not kpop though, cpop/hiphop, they're under JYP, called BOY STORY, youngest debuted at 9-10, the oldest debuted at 13-14, there's 6 members. the moment i realized the youngest and I were part of the same class in China back in kindergarten- (there's like 50+ people so i didnt realize until i looked thru the yearbook)

Idols that are 15-18 shouldn’t be wearing those type of clothes.

Not shy have weird part...
JYP is worst

@@tamiac1439 yeah, you become an adult at 19 in Korea.
I actually hate it when people behave like that. Like leave them child alone.
I see many people making videos about TXT showing abs when they don't even show there abs (or if they have abs we don't know) but bruh- people should have a privacy on TXT's body since some of them are still minors...
True MOAs won’t do that. We don’t claim any of those weirdos. Like half of TXT is underaged, it’s so sick that people do that 🤢
Well at least with TXT, BH didnt give them a dark or hot concept. And their clothes are fine for them. It's like they are growing up as their concept
Ya I litterally see TxT as my boy bestfriends. I HAVE NEVER EVEN THOUGHT OF THEM LIKE THAT. THAT IS LITTERALLY DISGUISTING THAT PEOPLE CAN THINK OF OTHERS LIKE THAT. I AM YOUNG TOO AND IT DISGUST ME 🤢
They’re literally so chill and fun to just see; like you could pull up to them at 3am and go to McDonald’s or whatever and just hang out. Can’t believe that people are doing this to them
TXT's concept is actually super refreshing in terms of k-pop boy groups! Also, it's so fitting that the members are all pretty young, so the bubbly theme is perfect for them... this just goes to prove that someone who has to sexualise underage idols, does NOT need a reason
ITZYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Poor tzuyu. Jyp made her do that elevator thing, and have made her wear clothing’s with questionable messages on them.
as a moa, we don’t claim people who sexualize the boys. txt, themselves, have stated that they are uncomfortable with such things. i’m not sure what tweet you saw but i would love to see it so we can report it, because that behavior is not acceptable 🤢 i don’t know how many times people will have to say idols are human and they deserved to be respected for some people to get the idea. it sucks honestly 😔

Shimme Shimme Kokostop i’m sorry on behalf of all the sane army
Shimme Shimme Kokostop it can come from anyone
I’ve always been super uncomfortable of the stuff people said about wonyoung on p48. “oh she doesn’t look 13”, “she pulls off the sexy concept (side to side) really well”, “her figure is nice” like just no. This also explains why I was slightly opposed when she was chosen to be the group’s center at the start. She’s so young and having her as the face of the group would only cause an inconvenience to her.
I'm okay when people say things like "she is so pretty" or "i wish i had long legs like her" (bc in fact i would like to have longer legs too), but saying things like "her body is so sexy/pretty" or "she fits the sexy concept" it's staight up disgusting. Same with Yujin, she may look 18 but she is 16, I don't think she should be doing concepts like AYAYAYA (Off The Record I'm looking at you) or people should be commenting on her "fitting sexy concepts".
@@bread3987 Yeah, I like the coreography and the song and all but I think it would be better to have the unnie line in AYAYAYA and the maknae line with So Curious, I think the concepts would fit better and maybe the members would be more comfortable.

I feel so bad for Wonyoung and everyone in this video.
It annoys me so much when fans thinks just bc they call themselves ‘hard stans’ that it’s okay or acceptable to just sexualize idols like it’s nothing and they really don’t care if they’re minors or not. I’ve even seen some ‘hard stans’ counting down the days until (insert minor idol name) becomes a legal adult like it’s seriously disgusting.
Now that the Nizi Project is going on, I literally wanna throw up reading comments under Miihi's performances (she is 15 now, 14 at many clips of her before) and calling her sexy. Bro you don't call a 14-year-old sexy. This is such a dark side of K-pop industry that such predatory towards these CHILDREN is promoted. It's disgusting.
Michelle P i'm not really sure if they count as jpop since jyp said he plans on having korean songs for them too
Yeah, the way JYP was reacting to her performance made me super uncomfortable and no one in the comments was saying anything? It was super weird, everyone was just talking about how she looked and sounded so “mature”

this is why im so concerned about ENHYPEN... one of them is literally 14... and another is 16- theyre underage... they cant even consent- like...

Seriously y'all need to stop sexualizing idols, especially young idols. They and their company decided to debut them because talent wise and charisma wise, they're ready to debut. These teens are debuting not because they want to see these nasty comments, but they're doing it because it's their dream and want to pursure their dreams. Also not just sexualization but please be extra kind towards young members, they're nowhere near mentally developed yet and can tale harsh compliments really seriously, I know because I'm around their age. Straight up criticizing young idols and calling them names isn't the same as constructive criticism and stop acting like it is, please. Just always spread love and be careful when talking about younger idols, imagine saying the same thing to kids the same age living in your neighborhood or something, yeah you wouldn't say any of that because it's in real life and your identity isn't hidden💁
@FN that sucks, I feel like where I live people are pretty sensitive about what they say to kids because they don't want to discourage kids from trying to achieve their dreams, but I guess it's not like that everywhere
@@targetbleach8689
You should also note that in most Mvs, appearances of idols, they tend to wear more revealing clothes. Some dance were also very suggestive. Take hyuna for example. I remember one of her MVs where she took down her own underwear and put on another. I don't think that should be shown. Let's just be honest that female idols tend to appear in a more revealing outfit hence they can't sit without towels to cover something that shouldn't be shown. They are not dressing modestly because they won't sell well. Its their work hazard. You can't expect everyone to be monks. Idols are also aware that they would face these problems if they chose to step on this career. It's messed up I know but its the nature of their work.
@@saltylemonz258 yes of course I know they wear outfits and do dances that may not be appropriate, but that's not the young artist's choice, they get styled by stylists and choreographers make the dances. It's unfair to sexualize someone that had no choice over those things, and even if they did have the choice, you can't say they were asking for it either. Sexualization isn't just about finding someone attractive, it's treating them like only their body matters or objectifying them and wearing revealing clothes doesn't allow people to start treating them like they're not humans with thoughts and feelings🤷
Why do I see way more people sexualizing Taehyun tho... I mean sure he's 18 but he's still a 02 liner like Hyuka
Yes but he is a grow man who belong to the 18-25 years old adult category as 13-17 years old belong to the category of teenagers.

If you see someone who's half naked and literally shows everything, they are not half naked, YOU are the problem, take your eyes off or something. It's not their fault that they chose those clothes and wore them on public, it's YOUR fault for looking at them!
