Me as an American teenager/college student: *Hated makeup and vowed to wear it only on special occasions such as prom because I otherwise hated how it completely changed my face* Adult me: *Discovered more natural, Korean-style makeup via lovely Jooshica and has probably worn makeup three times more in the last 8 months than I have in my entire life* Srsly, both sides look stunning and no shame to people who prefer one over the other, but a major contributor to me not wearing makeup before was how fake it made me look even if it did technically look good. I didn't like how it appeared to completely change my face. Randomly stumbling across your YT short directly comparing the American and Korean styles made me recognize that my issue wasn't with makeup itself, just with the style I was used to seeing! I definitely prefer the less pigmented, more natural looking makeup that enhances certain features as opposed to completely changing them (tho I have since explored with more colorful eyeshadow and that has found its place in my rotation for events and concerts, lol). Basically, thanks for the more in-depth tutorial and the inspiration, Jooshica, would never have been inspired to get into makeup at all without you.
