You’re right. She somehow does it.
The reason she has chemistry with all she collaborates with is because she's the real deal. A true artist brings out the true artist in others. She doesn't try to rule a song. She wants the natural peaks and valleys of the song to be enhanced, not overwhelmed by her vocals. Also, I've seen quite a few artists during my life and I at this point can sense when a performer is being true to themselves, their music and their audience. Girlfriend is the real deal.
I agree, I have only been a fan except liking her first song a bit and totally missing out on how phenomenal she is. I was stupid because it could be considered a girly kinda song and now regretfully I neglected or just wasn't exposed to how she blowed up and why. She is such an icon and phenomenon because she has a simple but extremely important trait in abundance and one that is sadly rare in these times. Being what these days refered to as real. She knows how she feels and nails her feelings perfectly, honestly and people identify and are yearning for that in this era more than ever. I will try to keep up with her and I'm sixty in Oct. Her gift from god is an empathic genuine soul that is sorely lacking in all society generally these days. I sincerely hope no one ever dims that spirit in her. It is a breath of fresh air we all should be inspired by.

But as a guy hurt very bad in an accident now rediscovering a new life as a paraplegic.
It’s not easy out in the world, add a wheelchair to that and it gets a little harder.
Once you have wheels under your butt… it’s pretty hard to be cool anywhere. As I learn to navigate a life I never expected… the challenges get petty tuff, so being “cool” has to be just as I am. No choice for some of us.
I swear Julia Michaels is in every songs, and i'm loving every piece of it. Love you woman 💜
