An NPC somewhere (I forgot) in the 1st city, literally told me that the checkpoint in battahl does not really bother to check the carriage, at then he hinted that maybe staying hidden and silent inside the carriage will help.

actually funny I had a NPC basically tell me the cart trick for the gate and I was like no way this will work.

You don’t have to save and go to the title screen to spawn the carriage cart. You can just nap at the bench near the summoning oxen bell, and go down the road towards the outskirts of the town and it’ll spawn almost close, before the bridge.

Good stuff! You can also get the marchers gear by going down a well near the entrance to Jail. You also get dragonsgaze just playing the main story.

You can also pass through the gate if you run on the left side, the door will start opening and the dialogue to show your permit will trigger, you quickly exit out of the dialogue and run through the gate. Once you're on the other side the guards will leave you alone.

Theres a 3rd path leading to bathal south east of check point village an open area that has a campsite and near it is a sleeping wyvern either kill it to get the wyvern gems or run past, once past it will lead you into some caverns with golems, proceed further and will lead you to a coastline where you can also find an npc that can dragon forge your equipment, procceed further south and enter bathal, hope this helps too

That tip to make the cart spawn works like a charm!

Found a wake stone farming spot, go to the griffins nest in the mist area exit the nest and immediately go left and using 3 thief’s with pilfer I got 2 stones per respawn

You also get the thief mastery just by completing the main story.

I would HIGHLY recommend having 2 port crystals and a ferry stone before doing the skip to the bakbattahl prison. Setting one of them somewhere in the vernworth region so you can fast travel out of the bakbattahl region if you're doing this at a low level, and placing the second one in the bakbattahl capitol somewhere, so you can return easily. I learned this the hard way... you can not oxcart out of bakbattahl without doing a mission that you're probably very underleveled for if you're doing this super early. And the gate you came into the bakbattahl region through will be closed if you try to go back through. I am currently struggling with this and it has been a nightmare trying to get back to the vernworth region. If anyone has any easy solutions i would love to hear them

If you wait for carriage at the post in checkpoint town and then doze off on the bench once the royal carriage will be passing through town :)

Bakbahtal Gaol has a key in the cell. Just break all the boxes and stuff in there.

You can make an exact replica of the key Brant gives you, so you can keep it in your inventory and give back to Brant his key.

Actually if you do the elf archer quest you get a free bow that is as good if not better plus a portacrystal. Plus access to the best MA bow in the game.

Go into Bakbattahl, hiding in the cart and then getting myself captured, but once in the city the guards question what im doing and attack me?

I wish i had another save file to experiment with different builds without wiping my campaign progression. I understand. At least make more saves unlock if you beat the game or even get them in game.

I manage to reach the bahtal without going trough the checkpoit rest town. I was exploring the road trying to go to checkpoint rest town but i end up reaching bahtal haha

You friends pawn that is the beast gave me dragon plague and now I’m 17 hours and have to restart since it destroyed my main city with brandt. Still love the game so gonna restart but man it sucks.

If you talk to some of the characters they will tell you to hide in the carriage. That's how I figured out how to do it.

Sleep 7 days and any story necessary NPC will respawn for free.

Highly recommend downloading mods for more difficulty/ sorry console fellas yall are a bit stumped with one save and lack of difficulty on new game plus (for the most part I am level 80 with maxed end game gear so makes sense)

If you want ultimate thief / shadow walker build based on stamina and never get touched for the ult skill with blades of pyre , heres what ive been running:
fighter, level 2, mettle , increased health
Augment for Archer : endurance, level 4 archer , increased stamina
Mage : Exaltation , level 9 , increases stamina recovery speed
Warrior : vitality , level 1 , increased health
Magic Archer : Voracity , level 4 , gain stamina with killing blow
Warfarer: Zeal , level 6 , reduces stamina consumed on weapon skill
This build is literal easy mode , the shadow jutsu skill is so OP

i rly hope the game gets harder later on, like im lvl30ish and just 2 shotting all the ogres etc essentially, feels too easy so far

If anyone wants to know how to make money it’s not 100% but when you do the sphinx quest you’ll get whimsical daydream put on trickster and go fight a boss monster use the sweeping shroud with the simulacrum ability and tell your pawns to wait so they don’t kill it now go to town every so often you’ll get 50,000G. Call your simulacrum back to heal it rinse and repeat.
