This shit inspired me to stop my shit and be a better dad. Sober for a year and a half. Thank you man.
Stay pure, Chief.
💯🔥❤️ hell yeah
Good job man
Stay blessed bro
Leshgooo brotha!!!
This is really sad honestly. I'm so sorry for those who have parents like this.
It's ok me and my family will be fine
I used to have parents like this until they abndoned me and I went to my grandparents.
It's ok,I just have to move with my bsf
My dad
over time, living in toxic households as a kid, you become very numb to the shit around you until you get dragged out of that environment. i know from experience.
He's for real saying the shit that some of us don't have the courage to say to our own parents.
frfr
ong
some parents wont let us say it
@@notmax8928 aye me over here 😂
Ong.
Every child deserves a parent.
Not every parent deserves a child.
True
This deserves 1 milly likes fam
Facts
I needed that
💯
Sad truth is that many parent's reactions in this scenario would be to punish their "disrespectful" and "ungrateful" children for speaking to them like that.
I know mine would bro, they straight up insult and disrespect me and get offended when i say I hope I’m not like them for my kids
Anytime making a logical statement and they like “ ooooh boy! Is that arguing I hear!?”
For just spitting facts 🤪
I wouldn't ever say anything like this to my parents.
They're gonna play the victim and make me feel bad.
"Disrespectful" "Ungrateful" :)
People will miss the message of how serious this is to Little girls & little boys in this generation that are surrounded by this cycle.
aye man i grew up in that life was a gamer then i messed ma life up and became a gang member
i wanted it but man guess shit just changed me and went down the wrong path
I feel that did the same trying to right the ship now
GoudaTV ik what u mean man but hey ese uk i got into gangs just like my jefe uk shit was rough i grew up around gangs murders and i became one of those gang members homie life rough but things happen for a reason
Everyone here keep pushing I got faith in you all 🌺🙏🏼🙏🏼
imagine your child looks up to you and says "i dont want to be anything like you" thats a different hurt 😞
& a deserved one if ur failing ur kids.
I'd fucking die
sir wrong song
personally, I’d want my child to be better than me. evolution 💯
I prey to God my kids nothing like me if we're being honest
The fact that this actually happens to a lot of kids is heartbreaking..
His raps actually make sense 👏🏾👏🏾 not talking about drugs, money or nothing like that. He’s rapping about real issues and goal 😩
Songo Yalengbiye ikr
Songo Yalengbiye he does rap about that stuff
Songo Yalengbiye no he raps about that too just for fun, but yeah majority, he's speaking that real shit
The whole song 100 is about money but it's with a message
uh waht??? hes literally talking about drugs money and all that in this song
If my kid ever says something like this to me I'll be heart broken. Some parents gotta do better
Ikr😔
A lot of parents need to do better. I stopped hanging with old friends simply because their parental skills were a trigger. Sad
Aw I wasn’t allowed to have feelings it was sad
Ikr I'm 15 and hang with a holder crowd I done fucked up one of my old homies cuz I walked in on him stomping out his 4yr old
Your right parent love every kids should not be mean or rude irrendopossie for their own kids
I was that kid, and it made me a better father, this song reminded me I can be a great father... Thank you Joyner. Mass truth.
I feel you bro, when I was little I remember seeing my mom put a knife up to her own throat and saying she was gonna kill herself ! I remember my dad beating the shit out of my oldest brother and I felt too weak to help cause I was only 10 shit really fucks me up sometimes man
But now that I have a son I feel like I can give him the life I didn’t have !! 💪🏾
Even today many people still sleep on Joyner
The message of the song is so touching ❤️
this was the realest shit I've ever heard , it's hard to act some way when you've only been taught wrongg
PatrickGames me to, I've never heard lyrics so real
PatrickGames I wish the world could see this. This is the reality of So many kids in Ghettos and poor communities and the government doesn't do shit!
Paul Aihe government aint the answer😂😂
Cole McCormick but what is?
Cyrus The Great hard work, parents putting aside their own feelings and opinions I. Subjects and raising children to be themselves not mirror their families, teachings your kids life skills, proper behavior, helping them get a job when they're old enough
give this man an award for saving human lives every day!
eXampL alright. Exaggerated a little but I feel you.

I’m sorry your going through this brother, please know you will be tested during these times. Don’t break soldier 💪
@@JR_INK 10 months clean a week ago ❤️
@@JR_INK for a comment that’s almost 2 years old, I didn’t expect you too respond. I appreciate your words brother
I love you buddy, God will bless you
@@user-el3mu5ve1d thank you so damn much, shes over a year clean now and I'm so fucking proud. It takes effort to change, but she put in that effort.
Just no words ...his music is just so powerful. He's in a league of his own. You can just feel everything he's feeling thru his music. He could sing about bed bugs and make it beautiful! 😂
Joyner: aye come over
Joyners friend: nah ur kid is gonna yell at us again
😂
Lmao
Lol😂😂😂
😂😂
Why yo kid keep rapping at us bro??
the sad thing is that kids couldnt stand up for themselves like the kids in the video because they're worried they will get in trouble
I am one of those kids I might get smacked when I make a valid point. But kids cant stick up for themselves and then gets bullied at school then the parents yell at them for it. It sucks and that's my life. I feel like a failure
If they were my parents I would be scared to get hurt
ok so im not the only one like that.....thats sad
@Cheeky Destroyer thats true
Or beat thats the really sad part ut that doesn't always happen
This is one of the most deep hip hop pieces ever. I'm serious. The message and execution is unparalleled.

I came from a broken ass home & this song really explains it all I’m glad i came across this song 🔥🔥🔥🔥
What bothers me is how underrated he is, this is so deep it makes me want to cry every time I listen to it
a powerful much needed message for a lot of kids and adults! And just think about it.. Joyner just getting started! Yo, you in ya own lane Joyner. Keep it going!!!!
King Shawnn ayyyy my boy shawnn
Shawn my man
u right he got hte platform this shit needa be heard
Ay I remember when you used Jumanji as your intro a while back, you got me started on him Shawnn thanks 💯🔥
King Shawnn bro this dude gone be bigger than some of these rappers
I don't know how he's not bigger then what he is! He is beyond real
than*
The whole concept of this song is incredible, and the music video makes it hit even harder. What a deep song. I can imagine there are so many kids who don't know how to articulate what they're feeling because they're kids. What a concept to put words to what kids can't because of their age. I love it soooo much.
Even almost 7 years later this still hits hard. We need more of this Joyner ASAP. 🙏 Also another album like 508 💯🔥🔥🔥
Brought tears to my eyes. I was born in 2000 and its sad to see that ik people who are my same age that act just like how he described it and their parents as well.
Ny'Asia Outlaw I thought I was the only one that shed a tear to this thinking about my life and shit
Rome NZ right 💯
Ny'Asia Outlaw same I really thought I was the only one but then I watched this and saw all the comments and was like wow
shit made me tear up cuz I was born 2000 an how the lil boi described is how I turnt out from watchn ppl..
Ny'Asia Outlaw the real world is even more cruel than you can see or even imagine. you will see more throughout life. more is to come i promise that. be strong
Damn. I love the meanings behind these songs.😩
Samuel Aiken frfr, this dude spit wit a purpose!!!
Samuel Aiken hell yeah
I love this song
Ikr
yea lol
this shit is deep as hell its crazy how he thought up theses lyrics like that
This song hits to close to home ,makes me cry every fuckin time.
Joyner is the best storyteller in the rap game
Cancer Cop have you listen to Brenda's got a baby by Tupac, now yeah Joyner good but he ain't the best at least not yet but Tupac, Tupac got a few story's to tell if your willing to listen
I meant current rap games
Slick Rick still the goat storyteller but I was damn near thinking the same
Ice Cube was a great storyteller as well. You Can't Fade Me, Once Upon A Time In The Projects, Alive On Arrival etc
Yes
Joyner Lucas is the man we need to save the youth
I’m thankful I’ve never had to go through this struggle but I know my father did and he was the most humble man I’ve ever met and I know that he did the things he did for me because he didn’t want me to have the same life as him I aspire to be the man he is
This whole song hit close to home its like everything I wanted to say a kid put in song form, joyner lucas is definitely the GOAT hands down
I literally just started listening to his music today. WHAT HE CREATES ISN'T EVEN MUSIC. He's creating HEALING✨✨👑💜👍🏾
Nomadic Niecy just right now discovered him !!! I’m in love

Pixelatedpinecone ! I get it clever
We all can connect with this. Everyone has someone in their life that makes you say, "I will be nothing like you."
Damn straight.
This album changed my life! Joyner related to the world by saying what everyone else couldn’t find the words to say in a brilliantly arranged masterpiece!
this song still makes me cry six years later. all of joyners music is so incredibly fucking powerful and i feel it so deeply in my soul every single time. i relate to heavily to this song, this and im sorry got me through so much shit when i was a young teen…im almost 20 now and i still feel it

I need someone to look up to
A role model I could run to
When I feel lost and I'm confused and I'm outta touch with my young roots
I need confidence, all that I can get
And I love you and your common sense
'Cause lately, I've been tryna live this thug life and I'm not convinced
Look, I love how you handle your own
Glad you are the king to your own castle
You handle life when it's thrown at you
Never curl up, never 'fo fragile, I need you to be here, regardless
Teach me how to be there for my kids
Show me how to be fearless often, I need real guidance, I am scared of options
Because of you, I've got a clearer conscience
Because of you, I'm not scared of monsters
Because of you, I'm not afraid of failure
My life was blurry, you made it clearer
And God forbid, if you died now
I know that I'll be well taken care of
I know you'll be there waiting for me
I felt that
I will never be like you... i will never treat my child like you did to me. Thank you for making songs that just explain my hole life
Joyner Lucas is an amazing rapper, I love how he doesn’t rap about doing drugs and having sex, but the opposite. Also he is actually good and has flow.
No one cares
You are right ☺️
Joyner lucas - litteraly
Doodem Last name hi
He's perfect
Doodem Last name tbh
This is an experience not just a song or a music video.
True words
This song struck me deep the first time I heard it and it never gets old. One of the few songs I've made a concious decision to pass on to my son.
Jc Mullins it's a story
Why am I tearing up... my life is nothing like this, but I’m a mom and I feel the kids pain
He’s such a good story teller
You know it's gonna be a banger when you see Joyner drop a song

when i heard that i laughed so hard because my sister and I joked about that before either of us even knew joyner lucas existed.
tru
Him and yellopain speak to me so much through their music 💯
We need more people like Joyner.
Joyner the only rapper to talk about Drugs, Bitches, Sex, and Money while spreading a positive message
GD-AceTheMace If you believe this, then, perhaps you should further venture into the realm of Hip-Hop. That being said, Joyner is among those great artists, yes.
Witt Lowry? NF?
MrSirTheDave NF don’t talk about sex
Jeffrey A Fuck NF he is a huge ripoff of MGK
Jinder Mahal nigga I was talking too the dude above me and NF blows MGK out the water..... most passionate rapper in this era
one of the best storytellers out I hope Atlantic gives him creative control and doesn't try to dumb him down we need artist like Joyner
Daddy Longlegz Atlantic ruined lupe hopefully they won't fuck up with joyner
Word perfect example of ruining a true artist by not letting him paint his own picture
As the engineer and his partner in crime in the studio. Rest assure that we retain full creative control over all records we cut :)
Glad to hear that sir. Can't wait to hear what else you guys are working on.
This is a song a lot of people are going to take the wrong way because, well, it's about them.
I love how the little girl almost laughed during her line. It was adorable
Cool
@ 2:09 i lost it. my mom is everything he described. i dont want to be anything like her, but i love her so much. all of his songs are relatable.
as a child with the same problem,i cried knowing this song is exactly of whats happening in my life, both the buy and the girl
I cried the first time I heard it too. He described my mom
Jasmine !!! Traffic jam on
Jasmine !!! i dont to be like my dad
Yeah same but she's better now her dad tried killing himself cuz he was drunk
Does anyone else think Joyner Lucas is in their mind(s) secretly? This shit is relatable AF
Clever mind, great vision & perfect message.
This song literally describes both of my parents its honestly sad
It is so refreshing to see someone like this come along in the rap game. We have been missing music with an actual message. Joyner , J Cole, Kendrick make me want to listen to rap again. We need artist like this.
Thank you Joyner Lucas
Charline Henderson listen to denzel curry

@@dragonlight4683 Yes I agree

Wish came true, hooked up with Em

If you like joyner you have to listen to NF. I think they are verd similar in someway spreading masseges.
Šejdi Aleksić Stop it. NF is fucking garbage. “tHeYrE sPrEaDiNg mEsSaGeS”
Listen to Tupac/Biggie Notorious and u will discover 2 more rappers that are spittin truth and are real.
That last verse still gets me after all these years man, what an amazing track❤️❤️❤️
Man... For those of us who use to be one of these children growing up this song hits different. Growing up around heroin, meth, alcoholism, pills, violence, gang shit definitely made being a kid one of the hardest stages. I use to run the streets and would fear coming home because I knew what I was coming back to. It shut me down and turned me non-social. Some people would look at me like what's wrong with him, or he's weird. Little did they know about the hard knock life and because of that life I keep my head held high and extend my hand to lift others up. I love who I've become. I've made mistakes along the way but I love who I am. Hopefully you all can say the same about yourselves too.
This man is better than any of these new rappers. Him and Kendrick talk real shit, and know how to keep it relatable, sad, and lit all at once. Mad respect ✊🏼🙌🏼💯

Before I was born in the late 90s or early 2000s my family told my grandfather to atom smoking If he wanted to see his at the time 3 grand children grow up, I’m his 5th grandchild and I’m happy to say that he stopped when he did because he is one of the most honest and coolest people I know and look up to.
have u never heard that line before?
K Nation so what vapes? If so it’s literally the same thing...
How? People refer to cigars as cancer sticks a lot
Been a fan of Joyner for so long but didn't hear this song yet but damnnnnn this shit gave me chills
Trying to sober up, be a better person for my son, I keep a job, make good money but that alcohol always brings me back to my old ways. Never got told how rough this life would be
Joyner Lucas...The Professional Story Teller !!
why is he so underrated? such a amazing artist.
. 사스케 cause he uses words and he doesn't mumble
Zelda Hopsin is trash
Jay Edge 1) he's not signed to Strange. 2) it's not like Strange doesn't have some mediocre artists. 3) being independent doesn't make you dope. Everybody and their mom is independent nowadays he's not special
Jay Edge plenty of artists make more than he does. Does that automatically make them better? Hopsin is incapable of creating a good album and is a huge waste of potential. Corniest rapper alive. And you're right, just cause I don't like a rapper it doesn't mean he's trash. Hopsin is just trash
Jay Edge you used me making less than him as some sort of argument that doesn't make sense with your last sentence. Most of Hopsin's work is in albums. Do you know what you're talking about?
hits really hard when you find yourself on the receiving end of lines like those
I listened to this song on repeat when it first dropped. I swear this is the song I didn’t know I needed to process my feelings about my parents as an adult. Still sometimes listen to this song, but I no longer feel bitter or spiteful towards my parents. Parents really be needing to foot the bill for our therapy!
Not a lot of people gave attention to this , but in 0:09 we can see a scene from The Spongebob Movie, a movie which its message goes as it doesnt matter if your too young or too weak, if you belive in yourself you can do it, the same message Joyner is going for in the song.
Great job joyner for these extra details, i must say he is doing a great job directing.

I can honestly say you speaks the truth. listening to your songs should have a caution sign "beware you might cry cause either it will remind you of your life or you would hate to see it happen to anyone including yourself". Much respect Joyner Lucas. Your words are like a 2017 version of the bible of today.
