I can remember the first time I heard this song. I was driving home late one night, after spending the day with my wife, of nearly 17 years, who was in palliative care with pancreatic cancer. I've never in my life had a song bring so much emotion to me, and hit me so deeply as this song does. She passed in November 2021 from this horrible disease, and to this day, I still cry when I hear this song. My advice to all, is to love everyone with all your heart today, as there is no guarantee of tomorrow. There is nothing I wouldn't give, to spend one more day with her. Love you Anna!

Seven years later, I finally found this song, it reminds me of my mother. I always cry when I hear this song. ....it makes me feel like my mom is still by my side. This song is very special to me. When my grandfather died, my grandmother found herself in deep grief. She became depressed, even though she was a woman who always smiled. When I discovered this song, I think it was 2022, I cried at first. And then I promised myself that I would be more present for my grandmother and give her back a taste for life.

One depressing day, I was driving home, lonely af, and there was pouring rain and a clap of thunder. I turn on the radio and this song comes on. Then I thought of my dad who passed away and the tears that started to fall were heavier than the pouring rain outside.
I come back to this and I try so hard to think of all the happy memories I had with my dad. He was amazing and will forever be missed and in my heart.

This song hits home hard. My mom was diagnosed with early stages of breast cancer when I was 16 yrs old. She did every trial for cancer she qualified for and even 10 yrs later she had decided to continue getting chemo until she was not allowed to take it anymore and had no choice to quit because the cancer took over her body. She unselfishly continued taking a cancer drug orally at home to see if she could buy herself time so she wouldn’t leave me and my twin brother behind at a young age. She took her last breath and was gone on October 23, 2005 when I had just turned 26. That was 19 years ago! Ironically, I met my husband a year after she died and his birthday is October 23rd, too! That is crazy to me because a year prior to her passing I was in the middle of a divorce and I pulled over in my car while driving to take her call and I remember crying and telling my mom how no one would want me and if they did, it would be an ugly old man. 😆Another crazy fact is, my husband and I are 15 yrs apart so she was right about the old man part, but can’t say he is ugly at all. Thank you for looking after me, mom. I love you!😢❤ If ya’ll got this far I apologize for rambling. This song just brought up some memories.

I knew she was fighting depression so I would check up on her regularly. I never would have expected that she would go through with it. She was such a wonderful person who became a beacon of light for me personally. She was the first friend I made after my break up and she helped me lift myself up when times were the darkest.
