To those who read this; you are not alone. I spent some time hospitalized. (My story is lengthy.) I'm listening to this song and reading many of those who feel lost during these past few months during the Covid pandemic. (Feb-Dec2020) I have been working on my post suicidal attempt (starvation) and self harming ways since Nov of 1999. My broken heart was in a constant battle with my body. I am still surviving and believe that the hearts that need mending will be thusly so. Blessings and peace to you.

This song really really gave me the strength I needed to move on again. I've been living with a disease since I was born that took over most of my life, and I grew up in Nigeria so it wasn't easy to deal with. But my parents were the best anyone could ever ask for and they were with me every step of the way.. through the pain, until I was able to come to the USA. Then my father died , and I wasn't even there to hold his hand or anything,last thing I said to him on the phone was "I love you,please get better for me". And it's torn me apart inside since then and I think about him everyday, about the last time I hugged him before I got on that plane. I miss him,and listening to this song gave me some strength, so thank you Justin, even though I'm nobody to him, this song has made him somebody to me. And I love you dad, so much. I have an idea on what this video means. I think in the beginning when she was shot, it means that she looked in the mirror and hated herself for the way she looked. Then the dancing with the boy was him trying to help her but she kept denying him and acted like she was fine. Then in the end when he hugged her, it was her finally giving in and he ended up helping her in the end and made her "love herself" (it can connect to Live Yourself). I don't know for sure but it's just a thought.

That is an interesting thought, but I think Love Yourself is a shade song. In Love Yourself, Justin's trying to put negative thoughts against the girl in a polite way.
