Chan said that with “Side Effects” he wanted to express choice, and the screen splits in two showing two choices Stray Kids could make. I think the whole video (or most of it) is going to show what happens in two of their choices!

why i think that yellow wood is before MIROH, the bus conductor is actually one of the rich people in MIROH, so they actually choose to ride the bus and went to MIROH area, BUT yellow wood is actually IF they not choose the bus so they heading to somewhere else, so maybe they just want to show that if they didnt choose the bus this is what they heading for in Yellow Wood. (Maybe they are now still in MIROH so there are sides effect in what they have chose, so now all of them like thinking if we didnt chose the bus what it will be like), now im confusing my self :)

By the time the Clé series is done, Stays will become profressional detectives. Look at them spitting theories here and there like fire!!

The album was inspired by a poem called "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost. In the poem, the speaker walked into a fork in a yellow wood that split off into 2 roads/paths. The speaker didn't like the fact of having to choose 1 road from the other but after choosing a road in the end, the speaker couldn't helping thinking what would have happened if he had taken the other route instead. That's what the split screen on this teaser is portraying as well.
"Side Effects" is a song about the uncertainty and possible feelings of regret you have after making a choice in life. It's when you question if you should've taken other road/choice.
This teaser shows that split decision.
On the left hand side, it shows the reality of what would happen if they were to on the bus. Would their journey continue or would they face hardships? Would the grow as a person and get closer to their goals?
On the right hand side where all decided to not gone on the bus. Would their journey/dreams be halted because they didn't take the chance? Or were they doing themselves a favor in not going on that bus?

i loved this era! i think the songs were really unique for this album. the story is super interesting too. stray kids never fail to make my jaw drop!

I'm 100% sure this comeback is based of the poem " The Road not Taken " by Robert Frost. The poem starts with the lines
" Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth "
In the Hellavator and District 9 mvs, we see the boys have been abducted by some sort of government agency and being put in some sort of facility. In Miroh they break out with chan saying " Our beginning is District 9, we break the frame, escape from the system and go beyond the fix towards stay." This line references both My Pace and I Am You and confirms that they live in a controlled and systematic society in which they want to break free of. However, they are left with the choice to either stay in the city and fight the politicians or leave and start a new elsewhere. And in reference to they poem they can only go down one path and it is chosen as the " one less taken ". So they are trying to say that most people would try to stay in the place they new best and from their life experience they can trust and know what's ahead even if they might not have as much freedom as they should. And the lesser group of people would chose to go down the path of something unexplored and potentially dangerous but free of the construct and rules placed upon society. In ths end of this teaser we see two endings one where they take the bus to a " new world " and one where we would assume they don't. We don't technically know which one they will choose but based off the poem the take the lesser known path in order to pursue the life they want. This was a long theory so those who read all of it probs to you.💜

I just realized that it’s two different worlds like, how the two moons cross in levantar and gods menu I THINK? THIS IS CONFUSING HELP WHERE ARE THE SMART STAYS

There's an unsettling vibe to it, especially the intro with all the color changes and the bus driver's smile.
BUT I AM EXCITED.

I NEVER KNEW WHEN I ANALYZED THE ROAD NOT TAKEN IN SCHOOL THAT IT WOULD ACTUALLY BE USEFUL AS A STAY.

I went back to this after seeing the GO teaser and also TOP m/v. We are now surely confirmed there are two universes, which now I'm noticing is what is shown in the teaser. The split-screen shows different parallel universes. Parallel universes are different universes that are created without our knowledge when we make a decision. Left or right? Off or on? Whatever you choose, you are creating another universe that could have happened if you made the other choice, which can change your whole fate just by something so simple. It's a great concept really.

Stray Kids are clever. This is amazing. No one can tell me otherwise. The two choices at the end was really cool and reminded me about the game 'Life is Strange'.

Remember that bus from "I Am Not" era? The bus that started it all..
They actually had *two* choices : TO TAKE the bus or NOT TO TAKE.
As we all know from their music videos, Skz chose to *take the bus* and they ended up having a wonderful adventure together.
But here, they try to look back at the other alternative road which they didn't take : *STAY at the bus station* . What would happen if they didn't take the bus? Would it be better or worse? Or would it be different at all?
What could possibly happen if they chose *The Road Not Taken* instead?
*The Road Not Taken* is a poem by Robert Frost, published in 1916 :
Two roads diverged in a *yellow wood*
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,

*Two roads diverged in a yellow wood* is a metaphor of life having choices.
*And sorry I could not travel both* : a single choice must be chosen, you can't choose both roads. And here, even though Stray Kids didn't know what's gonna happen, the road they've chosen had to be taken and lived through. Although sometimes the results are not as they expected.
*Then took the other as just as fair And having perhaps the better claim* : sometimes they think of choosing the other option, hoping to get better result.
*Had worn them really about the same* but it turns out the result is the same
I guess this is what Stray Kids want to tell us all : If the results are the same why should you choose?
*In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day!* what's important is NOT what is obtained at the end, but what we get on the journey. Will you be the first one to walk on a road that you desire, or just take the safe one because many people have passed that road?
