minnie's voice has this tone that makes it perfect for the concept. miyeon is also a main vocal, but her tone is strong. they choose the main vocalists, by how wide their vocal range is. minnie's voice just fits this concept so perfectly, so she's given more lines. wait for a comeback that will suit miyeon's voice.
I noticed a trend - Miyeon and Yuqi tends to sing the prechorus and chorus more in the last few albums/tracks. It's true, the chorus tends to be not very long so they have less lines, but for me, their voice is really strong for those parts and really makes the song pop out. Stream OMG y'all!!!

Just wanna throw this in here after seeing all the negativity about line distribution: Idle couldve cancelled this comeback bc of the coronavirus but they decided to go through with it anyways since they knew that we've been waiting for them... It might not be a perfect album and it might not be ideal in every aspect but the girls have worked hard on it and are going to be promoting without being able to have their fans' support during schedules, so lets stay positive on the internet, ok? To be honest, I think this G-IDLES best comeback to date. I had chills while listening to the songs, reading the lyrics, and watching the mv. There is that underlying sense of sinfulness in this comeback that feels so right for some reason. Its hauntingly beautiful and memorable.
For a while, Han and Lion were my favorite songs. But seeing this mini album? They surprise me more and more. For some strange reason, I think all the songs flow into each other neatly. Especially when your done with Lion and then go straight into the english version of Oh my god.

Many groups make their teaser the main point of their song and basically when the whole song comes out it’s not as exciting anymore cus the best part came out from the teaser -> raises our hopes v high for the song

Gidle doesn’t make their hook part of the teaser so when the whole song is heard, 🤯🤯 wtfffff just bursts in my head. It’s like not raising expectations too high in the teaser but like freaking BOOMS my head out when the whole audio comes out
Frrrrr cuz like we have Cignature giving us half their song so I wasn't exited for it at all but (G)I-DLE hyped us up without spoiling much of the song so it's feels more like something new and different and something new yet expected

I'm not seeing Neverland. But a lot of solo stans. And this make me sad. You guys need to understand the fact that line distribution is not absolute; in fact, it depends on how fast or slow a member sings her lines. And i don't think producers can predict how much time a member will sing. They only assign the verses.
In my opinion they are all shining. And what's more interesting is the fact that all of them have catchy parts (i had no difficulties memorizing the song). Thizs proves one more time Soyeon ability as a producer, to give the members the parts which suit them the most

*Ohmygod* For me it wasn't an interesting song and I felt like something was missing within the song and I felt a bit weirded out that it kept going fast and slow and the lick sound part just mad me feel a bit creeped out.
*Saranghae* was interesting it gave me some (I'm not of fan of her music but) Melanie Martinez Soap and gave me some Hann (Alone) type vibes.
*Maybe* Is a nice song to listen when I'm angry and it could possibly calm me down when I'm mad. I loved how the vocals came through so nice with this song and that "maybe" oohh it just gets in immersed into the song.
*Lion* I love it just makes me feel I don't know a bit more confident if you try to get what I'm saying but not in that way and I also like that it kind of matches with my zodiac sign (I'm a leo btw) and this is possibly my favorite (G)I-dle song out of their title tracks and that beat drop before going into the chorus is just amazing and don't get me started on Minnie's high note.
*Ohmygod Eng ver.* I honestly wasn't expecting an English version. It feels more I don't know sexy and actually sounds like a call out to help like oh my god she showed me all the stars like maybe giving off the message of like trying to figure out if they love someone or trying to get out of that love?? Ohmygod isn't a song I would listen to every so often but I might listen to the English version more I don't know I feel like it sounds better in english for me. I still stand on my opinion of the song but that's just my opinion and I have different styles of music that I like rather than some people who don't.
@morgs I'm still going to give the song a few more chances don't worry but not everyone has the same style of music and doesn't need to like all title tracks from different artists it's just as of right now I don't think it's the best one they have put out but I do love the album if that's what your intending.

But in english version, she just sing in relax way, and not hurry which I kinda love it more than korean version.

So just an opinion: I much prefer the English version of Omygod
Also their songs seem to almost have order with Minnie starting or ending ,Soeyon taking the rap part ,Minyeon/Yuqi bridge.
Because who writes the songs is Soyeon, and she said that when she writes the songs she thinks who part it fit for every member. So I think in her head she have this order, she is the rapper, yuqi the bride, and minie the oppening.
Also they saw that lion for example had huge success so they gonna use similar structure because people liked songs with that structure. In addition to that the specific sound is probably what they were going for thus similarity in structure
