  • I decided to give the simply straight Hair Brush Straightener a try on my thick curly natural hair. Will it work??? stay tuned and see!
    Also as a bonus, I compared it to the Pro Cabello brush straightener to see which worked best. Both tools were bought with my own money and the opinions are my own.

    I think you need to add heat protectant and anti frizz/humidity products before you add any type of heat to actually see good results.

    Hey Luv.... I just wanted to give a tip... Dirty hair will NEVER get BONE STRAIGHT💯! Im a LICENSED Cosmetologist so no matter how many times you tell people your hair straightens just fine the way it is, is a lie. The first section you tried to get straight did exactly what DIRTY hair does, looked dry and and stayed puffy.... Next time you should prepare yourself the right way and not set yourself up for FAILURE

    • @bizkandie
      @bizkandie  6 년 전 +7

      TaelurrGame ! A license doesn't give you the ability to know if someone is lying about what their hair will or won't do. Your cosmetology license, your opinion, and your typing in all caps don't change facts about what I've been doing with my hair for years.

YOU EVEN ADMITTED TO NOT WASHING YOUR HAIR😑, YOU JUST HOPPED RIGHT INTO IT WHICH MEANS YOU JUST WANTED TO MAKE A VIDEO😮!! IF YOU CANT TAKE CRITICISM THEN YOU SHOULD MOST DEFINITELY STOP POSTING VIDEOS WHERE PEOPLE CAN HIT ON THE COMMENT BUTTON!!!💯💯💯

    I bought this product and it works fabulously on my 4c extra coily hair. No blow drying required. My fine hair got quite straight on just 250F. The braidouts, twistouts and cornrowouts on the straightened hair look nice and silky. And the hair stays soft and moisturized unlike when I blowdry and flatiron. And it takes me 15 tops with this brush.

    I bought one and used it the other day for my daughters 4C hair and it worked great. But I did blow her hair out first and then use the brush. No way I was trying to use the brush on her natural afro. Number one the shrinkage is REAL and I wouldn't even have anything to grip. But it worked. It wasn't' bone straight but it was straight. I am happy and so is she made our braiding process easier with her hair straight.

      I admit I've never straightened my hair with heat before but I've watched enough straightening videos to know that at the very least you gotta detangle and stretch your hair somehow especially when you have very thick 4c hair like that.

    Beautiful hair but you clearly need a higher temp. Unlike flat irons you don't have the luxury of a hot and bottom plate completely sealing your hair and getting all of the heat. Someone in the comments said hair burns off at the highest temp for this brush. Different heat different hair. I always use the highest for it to work on my hair. You slowly raise the heat and go from there. But 300 anything with a brush on that beautifully thick hair isn't going to work

    I have really really curly hair, and its really hard to brush but the straightening brush really helped and the trick i use is as soon as i finish straightening my hair i put it up in a bun and its really soft and straight in the morning, but it does take a bit of time and patience to get it straight like if u hurry and just want to put it in a bun it takes about 20-30 min but for me it usually takes about 50-60 min and make sure u brush ur hair before u use the straightening brush cause it will pull out your hair and it hurts

    I wanted to add another perspective to your review. I am white, female, an my hair is extremely thick and course and dry. I am always looking for a good straightener, or hair technique to make my hair easier to fix. My hair has some wave to it, but I say it's that ugly 80's wave that's not cute, just makes my hair "big". I was excited to see if the Simply Straight brush would work on my hair. I bought one and tried it, kind of like you did, just giving it no help of a blow dry or previous straightening, but I did have good product , leave in conditioner smoother, straightening balm, etc. Well let's just say I was really disappointed. It got it some straight but it was frizzy like in your video. My hair stylist, who is a champ when it comes to getting my hair flat, suggested I try Tito touch up with in the days or week that followed a good straightening session just for touch up. (And I try to go as long as I can between washes, it's a pain and a huge undertaking to straighten it. As long as I'm not around smoke, sweat too much, or get out in the rain, I can go a while for a white girl , since it's dry, the natural oils over time make it lay down better). So I used it for touch ups and it did ok, but I returned it because I had my flat irons for that. Fast forward to months later.... I decided to cut my hair off for Locks of Love, and cut 12 inches off so my hair is really short now, just past the bottom of my ears, the same length all the way around basically. It was driving me crazy because every time I got hot or sweaty(which is most of the time because my hair is like I'm wearing a toboggan 24/7. But the short hair underneath, especially in the back , would curl up when I would sweat . And getting my flat iron up under , no matter how slim, just wasn't cutting it. Too many little short underneath layers to deal with. I saw the commercial and thought, now that might help me now.... So I got the Simply Straight again, and it works for that underneath hair just fine, so that curly underneath hair won't poof my hair out crazy. It's ok on the top layers, but the flat iron works better. So for what I am using it for now, I am pleased with. But not for my whole head of hair, I can't wait for it to grow out again, so it is easier to manage and so I can bust a ponytail whenever I need to. Also, if you watch the commercial careful, the girls will have some sections of hair already straight sitting there and go to grab some curly hair and brush through/detangle that section, but then they cut back to her running the Simply Straight brush through that section of "curly" hair and it is miraculously straight too. But if you look close at that section of hair, it is straight before she pulls the simply straight brush though it, so of course it came out great.... I was mad when I saw that and figured it out, mostly with myself for being stupid... I should have known better.... So I hope this review helps, I like it but only for my underneath when it curls or waves up and takes care of that. 🙂

    she didn't use a serum or heat protection so of course there's gonna be frizz also with hair that course you should atlease have the heat to 450. And it is always recommend to brush your knots out your hair first instead of trying pull throw dry hair.

      so if u pay money for a product your going to just be ok with whatever it does? no I want it to do what it claims to do or I want my money back that's all.

    Here is a lil tip u should wash it detangle it in the shower or however I do it than blow it out then add some heat protection and a lil bit of oil in each section than that brush would probably give u better results

    You know good and well it's not going to get our hair bone straight. None of these brushes do, but it helps to wash and detangle. I know you said to try and see if it would get through without brushing. Of course it won't.

    Maybe you should wash and deep condition your hair and detangle, then blow it out and then straighten in with a brush. The results would be a lot better

    I think the second one worked well. Its not a flat iron. it is a brush so you cant apply the pressure you would normally get from having your hair clamped from both sides. If your in a hurry and need a quick fix i think these products seem pretty decent.

    you need higher heat for your hair.. 425-450°

    • @bizkandie
      @bizkandie  7 년 전 +7

      I straighten my hair at 350 or less and get perfectly silky straight hair so I dont need heat that high.

    the brush just combines the comb and pass method with a flat iron. You still have to take the other straightening steps to get good results
