+Liv S. exactly. Kpop fans take ships too far. They're doing their job! This is why they don't do mixed groups in Korea. Plus in korea women stan men they want to date and vice versa. Mixed groups don't look 'available' to the fans because they take ships so seriously.

That doesn't mean that they are not banned from dating each other. If they even have the slightest attraction toward each other do you think that they would come out right and publicly confess it. It is not about being professional it is about their feelings. Kpop idols date a lot in secret and we probably don't know anything about it. They might also just see each other as family.

I tried dozens of KPop groups. The only one that stuck is KARD. And stuck so well I'm happily playing their songs in my head all day long. With every other band, I've forgotten the song 10 seconds later. I really love all four voices of KARD, and I love how they really become one. On top of that, above all other bands I've ever heard, KARD is the one that best blends other genres with hip hop. With everyone else it's like "we interrupt this song to bring you 30 seconds of rap." But with KARD it's seamless and organic. While when they rap, they rap, there are also bridges, when the boys rap melodically and the girls sing rhythmically. There isn't a jarring mismatch when they switch and it's a joy to listen to.

*I meant metaphorical bridges, not musical bridges 😆

I hope they have great years ahead them now when they are all 4 working on it again.From what ive seen ppl posting they recieve alot of love after their performances on their tour in America,everybody look so happy with them so i hope they get alot new fans now

Sadly yeah, they make such good songs. Their voices are so well paired together but sadly co-ed groups are still not accepted, it frustrating but they are loved by international fans and we show our love and support

But it's not Kard's fault!!! If South Koreans did not accept them, but Latin Americans loved their music and embraced them, what was Kard supposed to do? Refuse to perform in Latin America where people wanted to hear them? And restrict themselves to South Korea where they had limited opportunities and little support?
I especially abhor the double standard: if their international popularity had been in the United States instead of in Latin America, as it was with bts, blackpink and others, South Koreans would be proud and they would be more popular in South Korea. But Latin America does not hold the same prestige, apparently...
Meanwhile, J Seph served South Korea by doing his military service--and the whole band made a sacrifice as they were put on the back burner just as they were starting to get hot. Hopefully now they are together again they can recapture their momentum. They are special in so many ways, not just because they are a co-ed quartet. Their four voices and personalities and talents mesh so perfectly, they are the embodiment of "The whole is greater than the sum of its parts." They experiment with various genres and blend them seamlessly into new songs that are so listener-friendly my brain happily keeps singing them in my head hours and days later. They are more than just KPop, they expand their horizons into World Music, not just because Big Matthew is American and Brazilian and Latin American, but because all of them are open to the world. I really hope the world loves them back. We should do what we can to spread the word.

i feel like dancehall caribbean reggae vibe thing is really becoming a trend in kpop these days. That's what i love so much about kpop, that they're never afraid to mix in different styles and genres into their music, as opposed to westerb pop music where for a certain long period of time every song basically sounds the same

T J I agree! They really do mix the genres well and don't limit themselves to just one box which is definitely why I find K-pop more appealing these days than western music. Sometimes they attempt to break out over here in the west but majority of it really is the same.
